You're given headsets and follow along a rather big group as there are many tours going on simultaneously. Then you visit and learn about the Crypt, the Rotunda and National Statuary Hall. The whole tour felt under an hour for sure. Very educational, historic, and definitely worth checking out if you've never done so before. After that you're free to explore with limitations. Didn't get the chance to see the Exhibition Hall. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, very nice gift shop, cafe, and there's even a 5 minute passage over to the Library of Congress if you want to explore that after.

By the time we came back we had an entirely new idea but we had to be in Buford, GA on NYE for a wedding. Who even knows where Buford, GA is?! Jocelyn did and she made a trip itinerary happen that truly fit our needs, from location to budget to rental car! We chose to go on a relaxing nature-filled, skii/tubing trip in the mountains of NC. We appreciated her patience and flexibility- late calls, emails all day with questions....she always responded with practical and reassuring advice. She also provided all of the reviews we needed to make a informed decision. Jocelyn planned our entire trip from start to finish. She didn't book our activities because we wanted to wait until we arrived to decide but she would've if we asked! The early morning of our trip we had trouble checking into our flight online. We shot her an email at 4am, not expecting a response but more so to inform her for later. She emailed back almost immediately. The site finally let us check in but said she would handle our return flights and she did! Does she ever sleep? Talk about customer service! Our trip was filled with lots of time to reflect, relax, and enjoy one another's company- just what we wanted. The Inn Jocelyn chose for us was perfect. It was 7 minutes from snow tubing, 5 minutes from the local grocery store (I LOVED grocery shopping for the cabin) and the Inn was surrounded by nothing but quiet and nature. We traveled to the town during 'off peak' season which for some may have been a bummer but for us and our pre-NYE stay, it was perfect. We even made friends with the local wine bar owner! I entered my starting address (airport) and ending destination + preferred car type. I was quoted $371.44 and agreed to pay this amount for my ride. I provided credit card / billing info. I then received an automatic confirmation email for the quoted amount/invoice. The next morning I got an email from Crystal Limos that the rate was changed to $829.63 (more than 2.2x the quoted amount) without explanation. I asked that a custom service agent contact me to resolve this matter because based on the quote/promise of service, I had booked a flight. The flight has a 150 GBP change fee. Had I know the car service would be $800 vs $400 I would have booked a different flight. The agent who called refused to listen to me, repeatedly cut me off and told me to "try Uber for that price." The agent also insisted that they had never delivered anything to me with the price of $371.44 and had no obligation to me whatsoever. The agent I spoke with told me that they always have to adjust the online quotes and seemed to suggest that this is a normal part of business. It is not normal to double their bill overnight. If Crystal Limos cannot manage an online quote system that is reliable/accurate then they should not continue to operate one. I told them as much and they said they would note change their online quote site. I would not trust Crystal Limousine if you have a choice.

Their representative went as far as shouting at my father on the phone, after halfheartedly offering a lame excuse of mechanical problems in the original vehicle. We were forced to reluctantly accept the hummer, even though my sister was devastated on her wedding day and my father was brokenhearted to see his daughter so embarrassed. This was a complex trip, and we were not familiar with most of the places we wanted to visit. It involved five countries (France, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and 13 stops. Generally, we stayed at hotels, but sometimes with friends. Except for air travel to and from Europe, we traveled by train. Enlighten Excursions (EE) managed this complexity adroitly and provided us with a highly satisfactory trip experience. The company arranged our train travel, hotels, and tours, and suggested things we could do on our own. At the onset of planning, we decided together with EE on a budget. Except for an initial consultation fee, we did not pay anything extra to EE. The company's compensation was taken from bookings. We received regular updates regarding spending. Deirdre and her team seamlessly incorporated into the itinerary our desire to visit four different sets of friends in three countries, including transportation to these cities. Our trip itinerary was presented in a highly organized way in an app that was easy to read on our PCs and mobile phones. The walking tours they arranged--both private and group tours--were superb. Our guides were knowledgeable and lively, with a love of history. We enjoyed nearly all our hotels, which were conveniently situated close to train stations and the historic areas of the cities. Several of the hotels had "old world charm." Breakfasts, which most of the hotels bundled into their lodging services, were delicious. It was evident to us that Deirdre Swinson genuinely enjoys travel and wants for her clients to enjoy their travel. She is the consummate travel professional: highly collaborative and thorough, responsive to our needs and requests, and personable. She and her team actually arranged our trip twice: a 2020 trip which we had to cancel because of the pandemic, and the 2022 trip we just took. We cannot recommend Deirdre and EE more highly.

In the spirit of fairness, the cars have been clean and the drivers have been professional...until now. What I won't do is stay on the phone for 20 minutes repeating myself.
