It was followed by no communication, help, or results with airfare, hotel recommendations/bookings , or tours over a 2-week period. I contacted Connoisseur directly to notify them of the lack of service and professionalism I had experienced. They responded with apologies, detailed questions and statements about how they planned to rectify the situation, and ideas about my Washington DC trip. With reservations, I decided to give the new associate a second chance because she seemed genuinely apologetic and knowledgeable. 2 weeks later my trip had not moved forward with Connoisseur's help. I ended up booking and reserving everything on my own and the prices had gone up because of all the time that had passed. I foolishly did not reach out to any other travel companies and trusted this company to help me and they failed. I am posting this review because I hope it helps others that might find themselves in my situation.

But here's something they don't advertise that is of GREAT VALUE: They can help you get your visa done FASTER than if you went through the process yourself because they are more connected with the consult than we are. To top things off, this was supposed to be a great trip for beginners, it was not. Other people in the group were asked to sweep etc.. when the organizer should have done most of it or had an assistant to help. She did do some at the end, however it was too late. Keep in mind, she receives a lot of sponsorship, so you may become a personal photographer and her focus is on working on the entire trip and you're secondary. Please make sure you know all the trails you plan to trek on, understand how to read a map because you will need it. Also if you have to rent a car for your trip and it's in the mountains please get an AWD suv, do not get punked into driving a car. Make sure you look at the pic of our tents, we stayed on gravel everyday except one night. Face to face communication for this trip seemed impossible, text was the way to communicate. If you do not keep you phone in your face you will miss out.

This was a good trip for beginner's to multi-day hiking & camping- that is, beginner's who know they are physically fit for the listed trail lengths, and knew they actually could do daily day hikes and possibly, primitive camping. As people learn when doing outdoor adventures, nature is unpredictable! We experienced, rain, wind, major road closure by mudslide, and trail closures by wildfire. I really appreciated Marinel's ability to navigate these challenges to find us backup hiking trails, while simultaneously dealing with crabby folks on this trip who were intent on ruining it for the rest of us, lol. For future trips, my recommendation is to have an initial sign-up survey/questionnaire to gauge meetup guest's actual ability and make sure they have realistic expectations. Until I discovered Mrs. Yoon, I thought using online search engines to find cheap airfare was good enough. However, trust me on this and give her a call when you are booking your international trips. Mrs. Yoon is extremely responsive and she actually can find you much cheaper and better tickets. In 2014, I had a family emergency and had to fly to South Korea asap. I began online searching and called airlines frantically to get a ticket, and the cheapest one I found was over $2300. I messaged Mrs. Yoon, and she immediately found another ticket at a significantly cheaper price. Recently, I was purchasing multiple tickets, and Mrs. Yoon helped me with complex upgrades and multiple trip updates. She IS the best travel agent I've worked with and I cannot recommend her enough.
