The pastor, Brian, is very personable and his sermons not only speak to you at your core, but he is very funny as well. I, for one, love to laugh so this is a huge plus in my book! The service starts at 10:30, which is great for those of us who aren't exactly morning people. (Me!) You can expect to be out no later than noon. This church is definitely non-denominational. The music is contemporary and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Got kids??? They have a nursery (Infants and toddlers) and a children's church where they sing songs, play games, and learn a lesson. All of the workers have received a thorough background check and the children's department uses the guardian training program for the safety of all the kids. If there is ever an issue that needs your attention regarding your baby or toddler, there is a number board in the sanctuary that will let you know immediately and discreetly by displaying a number assigned to your child. Very convenient and assuring to know that you will be kept in the loop as to how your kiddo is doing. All in all, this is an amazing church with wonderful people. We are now regular attendees!

Redemption teaches mostly expositionally. During the summers they typically pick an overarching topic to preach through. The members are friendly and inviting and they have community groups in multiple cities in the area that allow for deeper relationships and great friendships to develop. They're always involved in outreach, offering shelter, meals, and clothing to the homeless as somewhat of a shut-in for a week during the winter. They have partnerships with Bon Secours to provide free health services twice a month called Care-a-van. There's a school -- a Christian Academy. A homebuyer's program. Various ministries for everyone, especially the youth. God is at Grove. You should be too.
