He gave me a plan on what he would do, and I could tell he knew his stuff by virtue of remedying causal factors for the leaning, including improper drainage. I also had him look at a 1957 original kitchen exhaust blower that was now a dead end and fall hazard, wanting it taken down -- which I couldn't do safely on my own -- and a frustrating area where water would come into my office when it rained hard with a lot of wind. Jim said all the right things, and I was very happy with his quote. He communicated well via email about when he could come. He and his crew showed up and did a fantastic job. They bricked in the gap where the exhaust came out, properly insulating and sealing as they did so, and painstakingly addressed the likely factors in the water intrusion. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I wish I had had him work on my chimney a couple of years ago instead of a certain other company who overcharged me and reneged on a necessary service they had promised but carefully not included in the contract. He would have done a better job and charged me less.

She called him and left messages saying she was ready for him to start this year. She kept waiting for weeks for him to show up. He never did. My aunt asked me to find someone to cut her grass because it was extremely high. I called two businesses and left messages. Only one called back. They said they would be there the next day. They never showed up. After a number of calls, they finally called back and said they would be there first thing the next day. Again they never showed up and never called. My aunt was getting very depressed because the yard that she took pride in looked so bad. I called MLS and explained the situation and how depressed my 95 year old aunt was because of her sad looking lawn. This was on a Tuesday morning and they said because of all the rain they had recently, they were a little behind but they would be there by the end of the week. Told the OK and I would let my aunt know. MLS called me twenty minutes later and said they would take care of her lawn that day. Kellen and his crew showed up about 1:00 PM and took care of the lawn. They made one 95 year old lady a very happy person. We both are looking forward to them doing all the lawn care in the future.

He quoted me a reasonable price and the following Sunday, showed up with a crew to perform the job. They worked hard and he asked for a check before he left, which I gave him. A few days later I realized they'd neglected one side of the house, a flower bed about 8 x 3 feet. (I had told him it didn't need mulch but did need to be weeded.) I got in touch with Bob and he said they "must have forgotten." This was the week before Memorial Day. He said wouldn't be able to come until after the holiday. Three weeks later, the weeds were now far worse and I emailed Matt and texted Bob. Bob called me back and said he "had a job in the area coming up" and he'd stop by and get the weeds pulled. When he stopped by, he saw the state of the weeds and said he couldn't pull them then but he'd be back to spray them first. A few days later he did, and the weeds did indeed die. He's never come back to finish the job, however. I texted and called again, and he told me he'd be back within the week. That was June 24. It is now July 14. I have a big flowerbed of dead weeds that need to be cleared out. I've emailed Matt to no avail, and texting Bob gets me nowhere. I was really hoping I'd found a service I could rely on. Sadly, it appears that's not the case. I trusted the job would be completed as agreed. Obviously I should have walked the entire perimeter of the house and inspected every part of the job before paying.
