It is located in a plaza, but the spacing is great and I liked the layout. The art that was featured is beautiful. I love that they give various artist throughout the community. The event was very well put together and they utilized the full capacity of the space with dancing, a refreshment table, artwork, and more. Great space. The tulips were soooo pretty and the art was great. Several pieces moved me deeply. Love the creativity. We got there just after opening. Easy to find parking and after we did our check-in, we were free to roam at our own pace. Visited the cafe and got a yummy iced matcha latte. Very peaceful, beautiful grounds. Well kept. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to see what other art exhibits come and go. All the staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Definitely worth the visit.

I learned that there are two ways to do it at the Frame Corner: 1) Choose your frame, choose your matte, place your order, pick up when ready and pay; or 2) Choose your frame, choose your matte, frame it yourself and pay. Cool, huh? I used to frame my own art myself to save a little money. The hubby and I would go, make our choices and hang out at the worktables, each framing our own work. Now? Not so much. I don't have much spare time, so I generally go with option #1. A little more expensive, but worth it. The staffers at Frame Corner are super sweet and are very good at their job. They love helping you find the perfect frame or matte (or both) for your photos and artwork. Turn around time is pretty quick, and the pricing is reasonable.

I really can't say enough about the guy who helped me choose a matte and frame for two large photographs I submitted to a show. We considered the options pretty carefully, and in the end, the frame and matte he suggested made a huge difference in my work's overall's presentation. Seriously, when my photos were finally up in the gallery, the frame got a lot of compliments! I was happy with the work they did, and I was back a couple of weeks later to get something framed for my apartment. I also appreciate that they have a DIY option for students or artists wanting to save some cash. Everyone over there is really friendly too.

But my wife wanted to visit the Memphis Botanic Garden for her birthday, and somehow this place turned me into a calm, peaceful woodland citizen for a few hours. First off, the weather was absolutely perfect, which already gives nature a huge advantage. Then you walk the grounds and realize this place is legitimately beautiful. Ducks casually living their best lives, koi fish gliding through the water like they pay property taxes there, birds chirping, flowers everywhere, waterfalls and water features--it's like stress gets checked at the front gate with your $12 admission fee. And let's not overlook the fact that there were food trucks... and one of them was selling cocktails. Suddenly being outside didn't seem so unreasonable anymore. What surprised me most was how peaceful the entire experience felt. It genuinely pulls you away from the noise of everyday life and drops you into this quiet little zen mode you didn't know you needed. Also, if you're planning a wedding or outdoor event, this place is loaded with gorgeous spots that look like they came straight out of a magazine. Seriously, every few steps felt like another "this would be an amazing wedding photo" moment. When the weather cooperates, this place is hard to beat as a happy place. Even for people like me who normally consider "the outdoors" a temporary inconvenience.
