We first encountered De Brooodzaak in Leiden, where four of us inhaled excellent sandwiches at the Central Station. We repeated the experience the next day in Utrecht. Sure, this shop sells generic-looking authentic Dutch sandwiches, but they're actually near the top of what I encountered during my weeklong stay in this fair city. As a thought experiment, imagine buying sandwiches at Penn Station in New York. They'd be awful and expensive, and they'd be sold with a snarl.
