When we arrived, Dr. Honey was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and reassuring. She cared for our daughter as if she were her own and took the time to thoroughly examine her and explain everything to us. Dr. Honey prescribed medication for our baby, and within the very first day we noticed a huge improvement -- her eczema and heat rash had already started clearing up. The BEST part is that she's my primary care Dr. but also my women's health Dr. so I can get regular physicals and women's health exams all in the same place. I truly believe she's worth the addition funds to receive her exceptional care. I can 100% see why she decided to go the concierge route - she's THAT great, people were flocking to her like crazy. Even if Dr Ohadi was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of patients at times, she NEVER showed it and ALWAYS put us (her patients) first, so much so that it was probably doing a number on her health/stress levels, not to mention her personal life as well, I'm sure. Since switching to a concierge practice, she has created the ability to spend more time with patients, therefore providing the absolute best care possible. I'm all for it! I can email her if I have a quick question or if I need my records sent to me. I can request appts pretty much any time that fits my schedule. And you actually get through to her office when you call, no long wait on hold or "we'll call you back later" or automated voice message systems (only after office hrs). Given that she was hospitalized and intubated at 13 months, we were obviously terrified and I advocated for a full workup. I specifically asked for a urinalysis to rule out a UTI. Marci refused and told me, "kids this age don't get UTIs." She told us we needed to ride out the virus. After SEVEN days of my daughter continuing to spike fevers and be in pain, I took her to CHLA tonight. She has a UTI. A urine test may have been inconvenient and uncomfortable, but it would not have hurt to rule it out. When a toddler has ongoing high fevers without an obvious source, sometimes you have to look beyond the most obvious explanation--especially when a parent is telling you something isn't right. I specifically advocated for the test that ultimately diagnosed my daughter, and I was dismissed. If this review helps even one child avoid suffering for an extra week because a parent's concerns are taken seriously, then it's worth writing. Shame on you, Marci.

I literally go based off of his recommendations... anyway, while I'm still trying to settle my toddler he then sternly yells her name as if trying to get her to be quiet? I know it's frustrating, but you're a pediatrician, you know what it's like at this age, so shouldn't there be some more patience? Idk, I'm not sure he cares about his patients at all, he has always made the appointments feel very rushed, hardly ever says anything. Weird vibes.
