Came here to get a pea extracted from my son's nose and Robert, Ben and Maria were just amazing, especially with two rambunctious kids and a stressed out mom. Said pea must have disappeared before we got there but they still tried different methods to make sure it wasn't still inside. Although their site states they take my daughter's insurance. We get there today since our primary doctor was out of town, and the 2 ladies at the front desk claim as of 2 weeks ago they no longer accept the insurance. I say that's fine I'll pay cash no matter the cost and they state they can't even accept her as a cash payment. They tried to say my daughter had medical when no she has LA care (I pay $275 a month for). Clearly not properly trained staff and were unprofessional speaking to each other in Spanish thinking patients don't understand. I don't know a single business that turns down cash pay clients. But now i will definitely refuse to go back or refer anyone. I called and spoke with biller department with May and asked about medical she said they accepting. First my oldest kid went and they charge us out of pocket because i didnt had her medical with me. And today i took my other kid cuz of pain and they didnt accept her saying they not accepting her medical and i ask to pay out of pocket they refuse it. I called twice regarding a toddler who had been throwing up. I asked if I could bring him in (I was 23 minutes away). I had to pull over to clean up his vomit. Once I got there, I checked in and they asked if I had done an online check-in, which I said no. They insisted on asking the provider if she would even see the child. I informed them that I had called, that he had thrown up over seven times, was lethargic, and was unable to walk. Two minutes later, they told me they would not see him and that I needed to go to the hospital. They were nowhere near closing. I cannot believe they denied care. Dr. Walker is amazing! Just a couple of days before Christmas, my daughter suffered a deep cut, and Dr. Walker took excellent care of her. He has wonderful bedside manner and continually reassured us throughout the procedure, which was especially challenging given that she is only 2 years old. I've taken my toddler to PM Pediatrics 3 times so far and every experience has been no less than outstanding. The first time we went was for a cough and stuffy nose, which she had for about a week. This was her first time getting sick and her symptoms were not going away, so I wanted to figure out what was causing it. The Dr. reassured me some coughs can last over a week and she seemed okay otherwise (no signs of anything major). We came home and she got better after a few days. The second time we decided to take her was due to a limp on her leg. I was very worried this time, especially because she has a small lump on her right knee, which she's now seeing specialist for. The doctor said he wasn't very concerned since the lump is soft and she also didn't seem to feel pain to the touch. He said to wait a few more days and give her Motrin, just in case she injured herself while playing and recommended to follow up if she didn't get better within a few days to order some X-rays. Thankfully, that wasn't necessary because the limp went away 5 days later--which was the last day I was going to wait before taking her back! Lol The third time was a week ago when I thought she had COVID (she got it in 2023), but she kept getting worse as the days went by; she had persistent fevers and wasn't eating anything. She got tested for COVID, RSV, Influenza, and Strep throat, and tested positive for Influenza, which lasted much longer and hit her much harder than COVID! Thankfully she wasn't dehydrated and her breathing sounds were normal. What we love about this place is how fast they check us in and how friendly everyone is. The waiting area and patient rooms are clean. They play cartoons for the kids and give them stickers, which is a fun distraction from feeling scared/nervous to be examined. All staff and doctors' display a kind and calm demeanor, which is crucial when working at a pediatric urgent care. read more

They have a respiratory panel that checks for over 20 things and that is usually what brings my family here. It's reassuring to know exactly which respiratory virus my son has in order to treat him properly. There can be a wait, but they do try to get patients in as soon as possible. We have taken my kids to pico location multiple times , so I assumed that this Tarzana location would be just as good but oh boy was I wrong. We have been here, probably three times and they have managed to misdiagnose my children every time. Last night I took my daughter there with very clear symptoms of strep throat. I'm not even a pediatrician and I could tell that she has strep throat (I have an eight-year-old and a four-year-old so I have seen it all). I tell the doctor to look inside her throat and he doesn't see anything. I was shocked because my daughter very much had white patches throughout and red and swollen throat, , so I had to actually guide him to be able to look again and see them. He made very minimal effort to ask any questions and right away said it's probably a vital flu so there's nothing to do and just go home. I told him no I do think my daughter has strep throat and I do want you to do a test swap for her, back-and-forth, he agrees to do it after making the remark that there's no reason for it . It gets even worse with their nurse, who absolutely had no idea what she was doing, and almost tore my daughter's throat out. She kept telling me in a very firm way to hold my daughter down, which was even freaking her out more, she didn't even try to say hi to her or just ask her to open her mouth. It was insane to me that she was a pediatric nurse. Then they come back and of course they said that they weren't able to get an accurate swap (because obviously she had no idea what she was doing), at that point of course I said no thank you I will take her to her primary physician. Of course that night my daughter had a very high fever. We did our best in manage until this morning where she saw her amazing pediatrician who swap her with no problem. And of course, the results for strep throat came out POSITIVE. It's absolutely mind blowing how much they did not care to investigate and do further testing and the doctor had absolutely no idea what the symptoms of a strep throat would be. And also on top of all the nurse was horrific. I would really recommend for you to go to the pico location if you have to, but avoid this location at all cost because you will walk out with not an accurate result anyway! read more

Made an appointment, drove down to the clinic and waited no longer than 5 minutes. Physician recommended we go down the street to the ER but did everything he could in his clinic prior to sending us on our way. This placed saved us while all other Urgent Care locations close at 8 pm, this marvelous place closes at 10!!! I hope you never have to come in but, if you do this place is the place. Registration was a breeze while my husband drove and we took our little one. You can make an appt right there an there. I loaded our insurance card and all necessary registration info and by the time I we got there we paid our copayment and was seen fairly quickly. We happen to stop by around 845 pm on a Wednesday night. Staff was friendly and attentive. Dr. Long was wonderful! answered all our questions and gave us the necessary documentation. The place is clean, masks are available, sanitizer available and parking is in the back of the building. I hope not to have to use them again, but if I do need an Urgent care, this is where we will head to. read more

Our son managed to get a tiny bead lodged in his ear - ah, childhood! We very much appreciated PM Pediatric Care being open on a Sunday night, and the kindness and expedience with which he was treated. The front staff and the medical personnel were all lovely. The doctor did his best, but didn't end up having the proper tools to remove the object (and in fact, we later learned from an ENT, ended up pushing it deeper into our son's ear). The doctor did reassure us our son would be totally fine having the bead in there for a while until we saw an ENT, so it was nice having that reassurance. So, not a great outcome, but these things happen. The bigger issue is that we were overcharged for our copay by $24.95 and owed us a refund, a fact I only later learned from our insurance company. Again, these things happen I suppose, but rather than the billing department automatically reimbursing us, I had to call their billing department and let them know... only to be told they've currently "paused" their reimbursements, but once they've resumed it will be processed in 7-10 days. If only I had the same liberty with my mortgage and credit card payments of declaring I've "paused" payments until a time that's convenient for me. So again, nothing awful here, and we'd maybe go back if the situation were more straightforward. But it's hard to say this was overall an experience I'd recommend to anyone. Oh, and the ENT we saw a few days later did manage to get the bead out. read more

I have taken my toddler to this urgent care many times and always have a great experience! First off there is free parking in the back which is a plus. Secondly they are open until 10pm which helps a lot. I always book an appointment online if there is one. That helps us get in and out faster. They have the ability to take X-rays, give breathing treatments and much more. The staff and doctors are very nice and helpful. Wow this place was such a different experience than I had expected from an urgent care especially coming in at 9:30pm right before they close. The staff here is absolutely incredible. My 3. Yr old had been vomiting from a stomach bug and we couldn't get her comfortable enough to sleep. The nurses Gayane and Milena were soooo sweet and caring to my scared little girly. Giving stickers and cheering her up. Dr Long came and saw us right away and was so friendly and personable she put us right at ease. I have been here twice and had a varying experience mainly due to the doctors than the actual staff. The first time I went was less pleasant due to the doctor not listening to me because she was more concerned with my two-year-old mask. Look, I get the concern about covid and other viruses spreading, but we are doing the best we can with a two-year-old who is sick. The second time was a much better overall experience. We got in quickly, and she thoroughly examined both my kids. If you have two children, they do a great job of seeing them both simultaneously. This is fantastic for families who have more than one sick kid and need to get them all caught. The wait is always relatively quick. They do a great job of trying to keep weight times low and things moving as efficiently as possible. Overall if you need urgent pediatric care, this is a great option. Why do toddlers always get sick(er) on nights and weekends? Why never when you could just call up their regular pediatrician, during business hours? We've been here at least 4 times now (ear infection, pink eye, ear infection, stomach bug), with the wait time varying from one hour to five. We've always felt taken care of, even when there was no doctor present and we had to do a video call with her after my son's vitals were taken. Not ideal, but we did get the medicine we needed and they called to check on us the next day. Look, it's not drive-thru docs here - the wait can be painful - but there's seating, it's clean, has restrooms, free parking. I'm just saying as a parent knowing this place exists and is open late and on weekends brings me a lot of peace of mind. read more

Be aware this place if you love your child. about 3 weeks ago i went there with my son. Because he was having fever , cough and too much mucus in chest. My insuarence did't accept and i paid my pocket money. They called me in to the room 5 minutes later my appointment time. After long time, one lady came ( don't know doctor or pupil doctor) and check my son. Then she said everything ok lungs clear. I was asking any medication. But she didnt hive me any medication. He was getting fever continue. She said just steam and come back after 2 days if fever still in. So stupid. ( they can make more money with another visit.) 2 days after he still had fever very badly and he doesnt eat anything. Keep crying. Then i took him to the emergency room. They checked my son and they figure out that my son almost getting Pneumonia . PM care wants just make money. They don't care about kids. They just take money witjout checking and without giving any medication. Front desk girl nice . But worst service by medical staff. There are no actual doctor. Everyday different people. Please be careful of what medication and dose they prescribe your baby's. Double check with your actual kids pediatrician before giving it to them. I believe these nurses or doctors whatever they are don't know what correct dose to prescribe. I trusted them because they are physicians, but as a mother you should listen to your gut. They over dosed my baby they prescribed double the dose that my daughter was suppose to take, advised me to give my 1 yr old 7.5ml of amoxicillin when she was suppose to be on 3ml for her WT. Also make sure they take their weight correctly! I had to find this out by her actual pediatrician after she was suffering of severe stomach pain 2 days after being seen here. Please be careful of what is prescribed to your children. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH! I made an appointment for my son to get a Rapid Test for 6pm. Even called twice and spoke to two different people at the office to confirm that we were coming in EXCLUSIVELY for the Rapid. I was assured that would be fine. Brought my son in. The male nurse(didn't get his name because he did not have any badge on) was very condescending right off the bat. I asked if I would be able to come in the exam room because I wasn't sure because of Covid policies. " Uh yeah he's a minor" he replied sarcastically. Once we were in the exam room he asked if I wanted my son to have an exam by the doctor. Again I explained we were only there for the Rapid test. A doctor came in shortly.. at least I think she was a doctor. She did not have a badge on either and never identified herself. No one working there did. She asked a few questions and then proceeded to look at my son's nose/ears/throat. I had JUST explained that my son was not here for an exam. She then proceeded to tell me that the Rapid was not going to be an accurate test and we could have it but we were going to need the standard Covid test as well. I explained AGAIN- only here for the Rapid. She wasn't budging so I said we were done and not going to have any tests done at all. "I hope they can stop the billing" she said. Went to the front desk, the male nurse comes up and tells me that we can leave but we are still going to be charged for the visit. Excuse me? This is beyond deceptive and NOT LEGAL. How am I going to get billed for services not rendered? Do not go there. This is a scam. read more

My toddler had a nasty head cut and I was a mess inside and trying to keep it together because head cuts gush and her clothes were drenched in blood The care and attention my baby received here was absolutely amazing. Emmanuel the medical assistant was so sweet and patient and thoughtful and careful. The doctor was so attentive and they both were very thorough in their care instructions. As always, any merger or buyout is bad for the customer and her we have a perfect example. This place used to do quick covid tests for you and the kids, you stayed in your car, they came to you, nice, safe and fast! PM Pediatrics Corporate overlords take over and now they want to bill you for a full visit. Now you have to come INSIDE, wait in the waiting room (contaminate everyone else there), then wait in the exam room (contaminate the room) then see the doctor (so they can spread it to other patients) and all just so the corporation can bill for a full visit instead of just a covid test which is what you needed in the first place. Costs you more time, more money, puts everyone else at risk just so they can bill your insurance more. So if you are coming here for anything other than a covid test and a week later you develop covid symptoms, take into serious consideration the procedure this PM Pediatrics corporation takes in doing covid tests. Through their actions it is clear that your safety is not their concern. These are the types of peoples and companies that make our world worse. They are the reason why our insurance premiums get increased. If I need to see a doctor, I'LL TELL YOU I need to see a doctor, you don't get to tell me. We went from a great little urgent care for kids to yet another greedy corporate conglomerate that only cares about billing our insurance. Other yelp reviews said the same thing and the corporate overload's reply is tone deaf because how else do you explain away the greed? "They used to care about the patients and now it seems like they care more about money. My daughter needed to take a covid test to return to school. When it was MVP pediatrics you could stay in the car and a nurse would come out to administer a test. Made sense especially since it is more considerate of patients to not have to have them sit in a waiting room while sick or with sick kids." And the reply is "We are concerned to read you did not have a positive experience at PM Pediatrics and would appreciate the opportunity to hear more about your visit." Is reading comprehension not part of the job requirement? She didn't have a bad experience, your corporate policies put her and others at risk. This is YOUR CHOICE AND YOUR FAULT. Our child has been vomiting all day. It was too late to go to the pediatrician so he said to go to an pediatric urgent care. We made an appointment for 6:15pm and drove in rush hour traffic from Sherman Oaks. When we arrived, my wife received a phone call from the urgent care while we were in the parking lot. They said that there was no doctor there. So we drove 30 minutes with a vomiting child with an appointment and it took them until 6:15pm to tell us that there was no doctor. First of all, do not list appointments when you can't honor that appointment. Second of all, do not wait until the last second to let us know. This is terrible customer service, especially when you are anxious about your sick child. I will never go here again. read more
