I was a repeat customer, requested quote for a small two-bedroom loft condo. Dan indicated he could…read moregive me "a good deal." I requested the same service as last time and was told, "I won't charge no more than $250, if we did the same thing. I explained to Dan that he did not have to move ANY furniture, no stains or difficult areas to clean, very easy job-only open areas need to be cleaned." He then quoted me $225. -Arrived 9:15am, departed 10:45am. Worked approximately one hour. -We did a complete walk through the condo to ensure Dan knew exactly what needed to be done. Dan asked me if I wanted the stairs cleaned. I replied, "Yes." Dan never mentioned he charges "extra" for stairs, not once during the walk through or by texting. He had every opportunity to do so and he chose not to. -Asked Dan if he could lightly run over the two small foyer rugs with the cleaner. He replied, "Yes." Never mentioned additional charge for rugs. -Never asked him to clean carpet tiles. He cleaned them anyway. -Upon check-out, Dan told me I owed him $300! He tried to shame me into believing he did me a favor in cleaning the carpet tiles and that he charges $75 for each flight of stairs. Dan tried to convince me that I got a "deal," because he was only charging me for one flight of stairs, not two. -I expressed my dismay and decided to pay Dan his requested $300, because I wanted to write this honest review. I didn't want the review to be about Dan arguing about price. -Dan did a sufficient job in cleaning my carpet, hence the two star review. -Use Dan if you would like your carpets cleaned. -LESSON LEARNED: Get everything in writing. Make Dan sign a contract on agreed price and work to be completed. He doesn't use contracts, but I would ask him for one.

After informing us he needed to see what we had before he could be much help, he just looked at us. No offer to set up a home consult. Acted as if working with the common man was beneath him. He did however mention that the products he sells are often to those "who want a fireplace in every room, like the multimillion dollar mansions." The showroom has many beautiful displays.

Thief, scam, and shabby work…read more I've known Sean almost all my life as he was my brother's friend. We agreed upon $2800 for him to remodel my bathroom for me. He did shabby work to include not sealing where the tile meets the wall, improperly cutting where the shower arm comes from the wall damaged tiles, As well as not properly grouting. He now is threatening me with placing a LEIN on my property for a made up balance. He made up weeks after the job was completed. Stating I owe him $200 more dollars but cant tell me what for. I refused to pay this made up charge and he has now placed fake ads on Craigslist to have my phone blown up. Do not hire Sean

He provided an estimate in a couple of days, which included a breakout of labor & materials. Jason provided us with Trex entry steps, repaired (2) vinyl siding corners, installed a granite mailbox post, closed off our wood basement steps & provided an access door to the shutoff valves for our shower. Everything came out absolutely as expected & then some. The front steps came out better than we thought! We were comfortable with trusting that Jason knew what to order & do it properly. I was given the opportunity to pick out the color for the steps (though it added a little to the cost), but I appreciate that I had a say in what was installed. Upon accepting the quote, Jason provided a start date, which he adhered to. He was here on the very day he said he would & at the approximate window of time. To get started he requested an Invoice for the materials, which can easily be paid via Quickbooks. It was so easy to accept the quote & make the payment. The Invoice for the balance can be paid the same way. If you have any questions, Jason replies right away. We primarily communicated via email. I thought at times I was pestering him with questions, but it didn't bother him at all from what I could tell. When we pointed out a couple of small errors, he immediately corrected them. No arguing, just made it right. That's rare these days! We have more projects in the pipeline & Jason is definitely hired for that work, such as a small deck, fencing, drop-down ceiling in the basement, a bar & a platform for my washer & dryer. No doubt that the process for the future work will go as seamlessly as these projects did.

It was not too small for the Dependable Handyman. He showed up on time to price out the job and when it came to building the steps, he was there on time. The quality of work was excellent and completed in one day. If you can get him, hire him. You will not be disappointed.
