Now, you would think that the staff, when we checked in for the first time, would be kind enough to look at our insurance card, and say "oh, just to let you know, we ARE NOT a Healthlink provider." This means that the $60 in copays for 2 visits become almost $500 in bills, and more are coming. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! And what did the office clerk tell me when I called to ask for a break on the first of 3 bills? "I'm sorry, but it is the patient's responsibility to know what kind of provider we are, and what we will accept for insurance..." Wow, how uncaring is this doctor's office?? Where is her bedside manner? Is it all about making money and if the patient can't afford you, too bad?? Very sad; this disabled veteran and his disabled wife say to you: BOO! You stink! 'nuff said.

My experience BY FAR, was the best I've ever had, which has been many! The nurses were very knowledgeable and kind, through my entire hospital stay. I will be having additional surgeries on my fingers, and feel very comfortable using Heartland Regional Hospital in Marion, IL In addition, other patients need to take a lot more into consideration when going to the ER, & Hospital for surgery or testing. Issues arise and nothing is "for sure". Also, patience is a virtue and the same hospitality & respect will be given to you when you're seen!!
