He was the BEST for years but he has changed and not for the better. I called to make an…read moreappointment and had to leave a voicemail because they are only open when someone has an appointment. Took them 2 days to get back with me. I had a tooth with some sort of issue, it cracked in half and there is a black spot on the gum. Anyway finally got to see him just for him to walk in the room, take the little mirror and take a quick look, and say give her antibiotics, schedule her for full mouth extraction and dentures?!?! Umm why I asked he just walked out of the room. Went to the desk and was charged $150 for his 3 minutes of time. So that was a disappointment, however he is the only dentist I've used so I done some research and since I have dental problems my entire life due to soft teeth and I only have 21 teeth left I decided to go ahead with his plan. Called the office waited for them to call me back just to be quoted $235 per tooth for extraction so for upper teeth $2585 then the upper plate is $2700 so we are at $5285. Bottom $2350 for extractions and $2400 for bottom plate. So $10,035 for dentures NOT snap in NOT permanent just regular adhesive needed dentures- AND top extractions, temporary plate for 6 months! Then same for the bottom so that's a year to get everything. I asked him what his lowest price would be if I paid with cash. He said I don't discount my work. NOT today Satan. RIP to the Dr. Arnold we all adored so much. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

X-rays were done last month to determine how damaged Aspen Dental caused one of my crowns. Dr. Arnold said that it will keep getting infected and it was supposed to have been extracted today, along with another tooth that needs to be filled. I've been gaslighted by this office three times now. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM. It really pains me to write this about a once dedicated dentist, but it seems that no medical professionals can be trusted anymore.

I am very disappointed how this place has changed. Great dentist, very nice and professional and so are the ones that do the teeth cleaning. Most of the front office nice except for the middle age woman with long blond hair that collects payment at the end. Very rude and shouldn't be customer facing. While previously I highly recommend this office, no more! They take on so many new patients, they can't handle the long time patients they do have. Due to my dental issues I need deep cleaning every 4 months. My last one was in August so due for the next one. The first appointment they have available is July 2026. A whole year after my last cleaning check up and I'm suppose to get it done every 4 months to what they call maintenance deep cleaning which costs more. I am guessing the appointments they do have is for new patients only. Oh - and if you have a dental emergency - they can't see you until next summer. They are turning into a dentist mill just like Aspen dental. Terrible and unfortunate! If they can't service their long time regular patients, then they need to close shop!and go out of business.

So I was a bit hesitant to visit the dentist again. I decided to try somewhere else, and I was highly recommended to Dr. Massie's practice. Everything about my visit to Dr. Massie's office was significantly better. They really make you feel comfortable there. I appreciated Dr. Massie coming in and explaining everything after an exam from the hygienist, as well as answering some questions I had. He took his time and didn't feel rushed at all. After that, I had my cleaning from the hygienist, which while is never the most truly pleasant thing, was comfortable and super easy to get through. I have recommended this practice to multiple people thus far and will continue to do so, simply because I was so impressed and happy with my visit.

I chose University Place Dental. The hygienist was very nice. I was pleased with her work. After x-rays were taken, the dentist told me I had 10 teeth that needed to have work done and sent me home with a $10,000.00 treatment plan. I immediately consulted my own dentist, who disagreed with University dental. I've since consulted a second dentist in this area, who also told me my teeth are doing well and no work is needed. I feel compelled to add to this review after seeing another dentist yesterday, a year after my visit at University Place Dental. I left my appt with rave reviews. The dentist told me I have beautiful teeth, in great condition! No cavities...no work needed! 3/2024 - As follow up to my first appt in the summer of 2021 and the above review, I had yet another excellent check up with my dentist last week. My dentist told me my teeth are in excellent shape --- no cavities; no work needed. It is very interesting that this clinic and the dentist that saw me three years ago, gave a diagnosis that was so far fetched from accurate. Perhaps the dentist should go back to dental school or take an ethics course or two. This clinic might also benefit from additional training, as they hired and allowed this dentist to practice with such careless disregard for the patient.
