Where to start? First of all, this has LONG been one of my favourite places to stop along the drive. They serve Oso Negro coffee and they serve it well. The bakery is all hand-made in-house and beyond delicious! You will have a tough time picking one thing. The sizes are huge and the prices are not! The variety is next level We ordered breakfast sandwiches and wraps to-go and each one was brought out by the staff who gently called our name and passed the item. This is such a kind departure from plopping the item on the counter and yelling 'BReakfast wrap!!!!' We meandered through the well-curated little gift shop and 4 of us managed to find to cutest gifts! Do yourself the favour and make this a priority stop. read more

The cafe drinks and food are always top notch. Jalapeno junction, which is part of the operation, serves a limited but incredible menu of Mexican street food. There's also a cute little store with a variety of pop culture items in the property. To the left side of the cafe, near the picnic tables, is a candy and ice cream shop for those with a sweet tooth. This is a must stop when driving through BC. The current owners and staff are very friendly. read more

Great fish taco. Very generous on the fish, enough for at least 2 big tacos. With cabbage and cream and a nice white cheese. Feta? Cotija? This is at jalapeno junction outside deadwood junction. If you go at lunch time you might have to wait because they get busy. But the wait is well worth it. Treat yourself to some excellent food. read more

This coffee shop is amazing!! The atmosphere as you approach the doors is enough to overwhelm the senses, as you try to capture everything this little shop has to offer. AND THEN, as you enter in to world of beautiful art. Yes art. They sell local artisan pictures, jewelery and soaps and oils. Too much to list. But - the coffee. Omg! Even three hours later it still tasted amazing. (I saved some for later to sip on during my adventures in the local mountains.) Yes - my peeps- the coffee is fabulous. The atmosphere is a one of a kind experience. And the staff and owners are personal and a wee bit eccentric- . A most pleasing experience from walking into the door and leaving sipping on wonderfully roasted coffee. read more

What a great stop. Very good coffee and amazing pastries and other baked goodies. Prices are reasonable and the coffee shop has plenty of food, local souvenirs and other items. All the place is in historical design and looks super cool. There is an outdoor seating area as well. Definitely recommended if passing by. read more

Best coffee spot in town, but they're more than just coffee. New owners are wonderful folk. Gord makes a good mean cupcake. Our family loves this place. I even had a coworker who was on a bicycle tour this past summer and mentioned this place was indeed a gem of Greenwood. Always lots of locally hand made items. Things for the road and yummy baked goods. My favourite is the sausage roll. 5 stars for customer service 5 stars for uniqueness 5 stars for coffee and teas. The most fantastic combination of coffee bar, gallery/boutique and BBQ/hot dog stand that you can happen across in the middle of a lot of nowhere. It's just off Highway 3 (the Crowsnest), ready for my coffee fix just before the road becomes the main street of Greenweird, BC. It's a pretty drive through these parts and when you sort of come round the bend into town, there's Deadwood Junction, a rambly Old West style building with a lovely little garden with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables to the side. The staff all wear getups that look like what bartenders wear in Westerns, except they're super friendly as they dispense your choice of poison i.e. make awesome coffee and espresso with beans roasted by Nelson's own Oso Negro Coffee. I haven't tried them yet myself, but there are also big fluffy cinnamon buns on the counter for temptation, among other baked goodies. While waiting for a latte, you can browse the gallery featuring local painters and lots of cute handmade gifty things, from wooden toys to hats to jewellery, and artisanal local food products. There's also a BBQ bar out front for savouries like hot dogs and beef-in-a-bun. You sort of have to order in front and pay inside and go back to pick up, but it's all good. Relax in the garden with your food as long as you like. I go to the Boundary area a lot to see family, and Deadwood Junction is my favourite excuse for a coffee run. read more

Excellent food and drink. Owners refuse to wear masks with the second wave of covid-19 on its way. Spoke to the owner and she was not responsive and will only act when mandated by the government. This does not take in effect the high recommendations the the B.C. Health Minister gave. Upset that these people (who see countless travellers) cannot be progressive. read more

An excellent coffee shop. I love that they focus on local ingredients and items in their shop. They also offer lots of baking from the renowned whitewater cooks cookbooks! Lots of healthy (including vegan and gluten free) options were available. The washrooms were clean and the staff were more than happy to fill our water bottles and serve us with the happiest service around. I'll be back! And make sure to try their lovely London fogs and vegan banana loaf. read more

I always stop here on my way to and from the coast. The friendliest service you can imagine. The best butter tarts and cinnamon buns in the world. It's also nice to browse around the store. It's like a gallery with unique art that isn't over priced for a change. I haven't tried the outdoor BBQ yet but it looks very tempting. Be sure to stop at this gem. Great service under new ownership!! Staff looks happy to be there than the last time I was there!! Very clean & friendly service although I was not a fan of the deep fried pickles would like to see done fresh not frozen! The burgers were very good here done on a outdoor grill!
