I purchased a new 2023 Yukon XL Denali in October 2023 at which time the dealer told me that the adaptive cruise was part of the build sheet, however after I bought it and tried to use it the next day it didn't work. I took it back to the dealer, 30 minutes away, and they said again "it should be there" but when the head technician gave it a whirl he came to the conclusion that it wasn't functional. I understand, I probably should have tested for myself if it was active before I signed the papers but the dealer told me it was and I had no reason to doubt them. After some research the dealer rep informed me that it was under constraint and put in a service ticket and said that it should be rectified in a few weeks to a couple of months, this was on October 21, 2022. I checked once again several months later in early 2023 with the dealer to find out the status, and also called 800-GMCTRUCK, and once again was told that I would be notified when it was available for retrofit but that it could be up to another few months. I have taken 2 across the country trips and routinely drive long trips on the highways and get more disappointed and frustrated with GM and Hart because I keep having to do it without a feature I paid for in my new Yukon and was a key feature I wanted when I bought it. I understand that there are constraints and they had "supply chain issues", and I understand that things happen but the lack of communication and plan for delivering what I purchased on a very expensive vehicle is lacking. I rented a new 2023 GMC Terrain from Hertz at Dulles Airport a few months ago and it had adaptive cruise. To be told now that the vehicle would not be getting the adaptive cruise feature that I asked about before buying and was told would be retrofitted is extremely frustrating. Where is the good customer service and responsiveness that Hart touts and promises? I sure haven't seen it. Make sure you ask if your vehicle has everything and check it over before you sign the papers. I will be contacting General Motors to lodge a complaint against the dealer as well getting my attorney involved for their misrepresentation and them lying to me unless they contact me soon to remedy this situation.

Customer service was…read morenot her forte.. when confronted after she lied to the sales person about her conversation with me, I called her back after finding out about her made up conversation, she over talked while I was talking to her, yelling at me and in essence, her poor communication skills ( should take some classes on responsibility and customer care ), no integrity and most of all, lying about our conversation and her demeanor. She gives a pretty poor representation of the service department. The sales person tried to make it better by providing a pick up of my vehicle, the drop off of a loaner and a return of of my vehicle after service. But..a dangerous issue was taken care of on warranty and the back tires that were ruined by the issue,, were not replaced, they supposedly were after only 1 yr old. So the experience of my $60,000 purchase of a new vehicle last year, which had a seriously dangerous issue, by the way, put me in a 6 foot ditch, and more than a few near misses of accidents on the expressway. All of this were within a year from purchase and still on warranty..was just short of a nightmare! To make a defense of poor customer service and ignorance by a service advisor is an understatement for sure. As I told the salesperson, I was informed i now needed 2 new back tires for the cost of $500, and would I like to have them installed from a service technician that day because of the issue. To make another complaint.. the sim card for the navigation system was removed at the test drive that day, my husband saw him do it but didnt know what he was doing, well that will be another $30, thank you very much. They checked out the hands free phone application instead of the stated navigation app issue.I can take my vehicle to any Buick dealer for maintenance and vehicle performance issues and will do that from now on. If this helps someone to know what they might experience at this dealership, it helps me to digest this maddening, disappointing experience this past week. All because I called to let them know I'd be less than 30 minutes late for my appt that day... to see if that was OK. I was being respectful. It was the first time I had taken it on the expressway and as soon as I got it up to 75 it was shaking very badly. I stopped at a rest area just north of Linwood and called a tire repair shop (assuming it was my tires). that man told me to go to West Branch (another 37 miles away from where I was at) he explained the guy that owned it was a good guy and would take care of my tire issues. Got back on the e-way and decided to take the Standish exit -there has to be a repair shop in Standish. The first one I come to was All American Auto Service Center. So I pulled in and went inside. There was another car being serviced; I waited my turn. Tim got my car in and checked over in no time at all. He was concerned it might be a different issue but it did turn out the tires were bad. He sold me a new set of tires for under $600! I had the best time chit chatting with his uncle -I can't recall his name but we had great conversation. In no time at all I was back on the road. A situation that could have cost me hours of lost time ended up being very pleasant and not as costly as I would have expected it to be.
