Long story short he charged me $305 to replace the mass-air-flow sensor. I agreed to the price before I knew how little work it takes to fix it. To replace the sensor it takes about 20 minutes. The part priced out at $145. He charged me $194 for the part and 1 1/2 of labor. He completely ripped me off. When i called him out on it, he had nothing to say. Customer service was…read morenot her forte.. when confronted after she lied to the sales person about her conversation with me, I called her back after finding out about her made up conversation, she over talked while I was talking to her, yelling at me and in essence, her poor communication skills ( should take some classes on responsibility and customer care ), no integrity and most of all, lying about our conversation and her demeanor. She gives a pretty poor representation of the service department. The sales person tried to make it better by providing a pick up of my vehicle, the drop off of a loaner and a return of of my vehicle after service. But..a dangerous issue was taken care of on warranty and the back tires that were ruined by the issue,, were not replaced, they supposedly were after only 1 yr old. So the experience of my $60,000 purchase of a new vehicle last year, which had a seriously dangerous issue, by the way, put me in a 6 foot ditch, and more than a few near misses of accidents on the expressway. All of this were within a year from purchase and still on warranty..was just short of a nightmare! To make a defense of poor customer service and ignorance by a service advisor is an understatement for sure. As I told the salesperson, I was informed i now needed 2 new back tires for the cost of $500, and would I like to have them installed from a service technician that day because of the issue. To make another complaint.. the sim card for the navigation system was removed at the test drive that day, my husband saw him do it but didnt know what he was doing, well that will be another $30, thank you very much. They checked out the hands free phone application instead of the stated navigation app issue.I can take my vehicle to any Buick dealer for maintenance and vehicle performance issues and will do that from now on. If this helps someone to know what they might experience at this dealership, it helps me to digest this maddening, disappointing experience this past week. All because I called to let them know I'd be less than 30 minutes late for my appt that day... to see if that was OK. I was being respectful. Our mechanic needed us to…read morehave the head itself inspecting professionally for cracks and such before he could do all the necessary repairs. He is located in frederic and the local shops did not offer resurfacing and inspection for cylinder heads. He found a place in kalkaska offering this service for $250 and another in traverse city's for $130. I was convinced a place closer to home May offer this service for less. This shop is no bullshit service and is a father son duo! They told me on the phone they could complete resurfacing and inspection for $75. HUGE difference in price and location from our home in roscommon. They carefully inspected and found no major damage but sadly the valves leaked. They ordered the parts for that and had the total repair done in a matter of days. Ended up being substantially more expensive for us because of the valve job and the intricate nature of adjusting our head required. They followed up. They were through and they loaded the head into the truck for me. Extremely respectful and professional. Honest. They did end up mentioning that our mechanic may need the cam bearing replaced due to wear... which wasn't making them any money yet they called mopar and tried to clarify size and part info for me just out of kindness. They prefer cash at this business and predominantly work on tractors these days but they deserve your call and business with any engine needs!

A few weeks ago I was heading on an 800 plus mile trip north. I don't drive much at home, maybe 5…read moreto 10 miles if I go anywhere. It was the first time I had taken it on the expressway and as soon as I got it up to 75 it was shaking very badly. I stopped at a rest area just north of Linwood and called a tire repair shop (assuming it was my tires). that man told me to go to West Branch (another 37 miles away from where I was at) he explained the guy that owned it was a good guy and would take care of my tire issues. Got back on the e-way and decided to take the Standish exit -there has to be a repair shop in Standish. The first one I come to was All American Auto Service Center. So I pulled in and went inside. There was another car being serviced; I waited my turn. Tim got my car in and checked over in no time at all. He was concerned it might be a different issue but it did turn out the tires were bad. He sold me a new set of tires for under $600! I had the best time chit chatting with his uncle -I can't recall his name but we had great conversation. In no time at all I was back on the road. A situation that could have cost me hours of lost time ended up being very pleasant and not as costly as I would have expected it to be.
