About 2yrs ago my mother had a piece of glass cut for my nightstand- which fit perfectly and was great quality. Flash forward to today- I needed an additional 3 pieces cut, one for a second nightstand and another two for a credenza that I have butted up next to each other. We are in the process of power spaying and painting the exterior of our house and it was so obvious that we were trying not to parade with paint chips on the bottom of our shoes. Dean Glass and Mirror exceeded my expectations. Great customer service, professional labor, fair price, and outstanding final product. My dogs even made friends with Jason and his installation partner. Prior to my decision to move forward with Dean Glass and Mirror, I contacted several other glass companies. One never returned my request for estimate, the other quoted a ridiculously high price. I called Dean on a Friday, and Jason showed up on Monday to take measurements for the official estimate. Rebecca worked with me to have someone come to my house during my lunch break so I didn't have to miss work which is a big plus for me. Brandon was excellent, we discussed our problem about no hot water in the master bathroom. He suggested a particular pump. I was told by another company that a pump would cost $1000 and I would be disappointed. Brandon disagreed and promised that the pump he was installing would do the job. We had some other small plumbing problems that he took care of, and he ordered the pump. He returned as promised, installed the pump, and it's better than we ever expected! Family owned business with very nice service members. My daughter's bedroom window cracked and in less than an hour, Jay was at my house taking measurements to fix. The whole process to fix the window was four hours because they needed to cut the glass to fit the window. They recommended and coordinated delivery and pick-up with a local etching business for 2 of my shower doors. They even got me extra handles for some closet doors to match the showers. We recently had Dean Glass install a new sliding glass shower door in our new home. We found them on Angies List and were impressed with all of the great reviews. Unlike many of the installers we saw advertised they have a small showroom in Pompano so we were able to see actual samples before making our decision. Owners Heather and Jason were great to work with and Jason did the install himself which also impressed us. We have the same door up in our place in Boston and Dean Glass' price was well below what we paid up north! We've been looking to do a shower enclosure for sometime now and we finally decided it was time. We called Dean glass and mirror and they were very professional over the phone Heather made us feel extremely comfortable. We even more surprised by their professionalism when they came out to give us an estimate. Horrible customer service! If you don't want to throw money out the window and be nickled and dimed, go somewhere else after reading this review. First of all, they give estimates based on customer measurements by phone. The person that answers the phone took the dimensions for the mirror and then when the guys came out tried to charge more saying the person who answered the phone and did my estimate wrote down the wrong measurements but they would "honor the quote". After that job was complete,We asked for an additional piece of mirror to be removed and they over charged us for that small piece about 30% of what everyone else quoted. When I called to schedule that additional job (still tried to work with them) they said they would charge a $25 second trip fee!! I have never heard that before. This is additional business and not a "second trip". We are educated people and we know better than to do business with a company who does not honor their customers especially those with repeat business. We are not saying not to use them, but be careful, if you're expwcying customer service and want to give your business who put customers first, SHOP AROUND. we called other companies and was able to meet our needs. The owner then called and YELLED at me saying they do not need our business and I should "Let him talk or else he would hang up the phone on me". He also tried to say my husband offered the guys "side money" to remove additional glass, which turned out to be untruth. My husband offered a tip since the guys had to return with a scaffold due to the associate taking down the wrong measurements. Jason the owner then hung up on me after saying he no longer wanted my business. Not even apologizing for the mistake on their part. A customer is told to take measurements and that's what we did and was VERY clear it was a wall mirror. We have NEVER experienced such poor customer service from a company doing business like this one before. They have a lot of business so they don't care. It's quantity over quality, please shop around. Horrible service. The one star rating is due to the fact that the mirror was removed well and the job was done without flaws. read more
