Dr Brown is kind and great with children, he's pretty much a magician. My oldest has autism and has had two sedation visits (because of sensory issues with small procedures) and they both went fine. The staff is wonderful with working with kids with special needs. The only bad part of going to this practice is the tiny parking lot, but we deal with it because they are great with our children.

Because I was unable to leave work an hour after she called me to be there she turned into a major bi**h and told me I will no longer be on the list of people to call if there is a cancellation. The whole reason I was on the list in the first place is because the dental assistant messed up my filling and now I have to get a root canal done. I made the appointment and out of no where they called me and rescheduled the appointment another month out because they messed up the first time making it. I have always had dentists that didn't believe me when I said I could feel it, so I dread going to the dentist! The dentist I had before Dr Dave was simply in it for the money - to replace every filling and do everything she could think of to squeeze another procedure out of me and my husband. So I am a skeptic for sure. But Dr Dave has turned me around. He listens, takes extra care to make sure I am comfortable - and he is really good at what he does, and FAST! I want to get out of that chair as quick as possible, and he is so good as well as being fast. He recently discovered a big problem in a cracked tooth I had - he referred me to a specialist. He could have done a crown himself and put the $$ in his pocket, but he said that he didn't believe that would be in my best interests. So he went that extra mile and I am very impressed! The entire office staff is wonderful, caring, and happy - great customer service. He also spent a lot of cash making his office safe because of COVID, from air purifiers in each room, to a state of the art air filtration system for the entire office suite that protects the air in his offices from the others in the building and sanitizes it. Jacobson Family Dental is the best! We are patients for life! I hope he doesn't ever retire!

The problem is, I'm not a hygienist, I don't work in medicine or even a related field. So why email strangers begging them to work for a dental office? Would you really want person with zero hygienist training inside of your mouth doing a cleaning? I know that I would not trust an untrained person inside of my mouth. I'd been seeking, but not in earnest, a dentist since I'd moved to GJ 1.5 years ago. When I felt an…read moreodd feeling in my upper left mandible, the search became more serious. I Googled and I Yelped and I found the Dental Associates of Grand Junction. With nary a negative review, I gave them a call. It was Ashley who answered the phone and to whom I described my desire for a good teeth cleaning and also that odd pain and she knew exactly what I needed well before I did. We got a cleaning on the books for a month or so out, but Ashley insisted that if I had a bad tooth she could get me in in no time. Which she did. Two days later I was in the office and Dr Scott confirmed I had a cracked tooth (my first in my nearly 40 years) and if we got it taken care of I might be able to avoid a root canal...which, let me tell ya, was a great relief! A referral to an endodontist, confirmation of the crack and, an actually quite lovely, three hours in *the chair* (replete with panoramic views, bird feeders and myriad bird species) to take my tooth down, build a new one in the basement (that's amazing, amiright??), all while I had a chai and watched the birds and the landscape we all love of Grand Junction. So, thanks Ashley, Dr Scott & all of DAGJ, for taking me in, making me well, cleaning my teeth, being fun and pleasant, and offering an ornithological adventure, too :)
