Something felt right about this practice, so I took a gamble, and I am really glad the reviews led me to Doctor Eddie, whose office is wonderful. I really appreciate a nice family practice vibe that does not feel like a clinic, and that is exactly what I found. I am genuinely excited to have a dentist nearby, and since I was the guinea pig and it went so well, I am excited to send my friends and family there. Being picky as someone who has been in the dental field for 15 years, I have high standards when it comes to dentistry, and Doctor Eddie exceeded them! The parking and finding the office was a dream, big parking lots feel LUXE after coming from the west side IYKYK. I met the hygienist, she was sweet and calming...and before anything happened, Dr. Irani came in and was equally as calming. I'm usually petrified of the dentist. Yes, even getting my teeth cleaned gives me major anxiety however, I had the best experience having my teeth cleaned by Maribel. She was kind, gentle and never once made me gag...there I said it. When I came back for my first scheduled filling I was told "oh, actually you have 10 fillings, your insurance only sent us one half of the sheet"... B.S! They also didn't even remember why I was there when I showed up. They said we were doing the deep clean and I had to insist that we'd already done that service and I was there to get cavities filled. Then, the worst part: The filling was performed by another hygienist who should not be working in this field. She seemed confused at multiple points during the procedure. It's been almost a month since my filling and I still experience pain & discomfort in my jaw, I can't eat hot or cold foods without feeling pain in my teeth, and the teeth she worked on feel chipped, jagged, and far worse than they ever felt before. I complained about the feeling of the fillings when I initially received them and she said "well, that's not because of me"... WHAT! Dr. Chaves clearly needs to have a better handle over his staff. This practice needs to be investigated and put out of business. I couldn't agree more with the other 1 Star review here that says that this dentist clearly uses your mouth as a personal ATM.
