I…read moreneeded a painter for a group home I currently supervise and for my master bedroom in my own home. As I thought the price for my bedroom was quite expensive? I hired him anyway to get the job done. I then had him come to the group home he gave me a price, signed a contract upon him leaving and calling me fifteen minutes later telling me he gave me a low price and asked for 400.00 more dollars? We agreed to 200.00 more! As the day leading up to starting ? He was stuck on a job and had to reschedule which wasn't a big deal. Once the day came he left his partner which was a very nice older gentleman in his 70's there while Bill (owner) was looking for Wifi service ??? His phone and texting went off more than anyone else's phone I ever encountered! Had his laptop on the counter like it was part of him doing and getting my job done at the group home. When I said I don't have the wifi password there he decided to leave the older guy there and took off! I had a time frame he needed to get be out by as I have individuals coming home by 4. Which he indicated he can have both rooms painted before then! I called him and asked him where he went we were on a time frame he stated I left to get some supplies for your job! Which I didn't see any supplies no receipts instead I get an additional bill for 375.00 for material! Once it was getting closer to 330 the trim and door weren't painted yet and he is outside instead of inside helping his partner! I said to the worker where is Bill??! This needs to get done before my guys get home! He said he is outside I been doing all the work and I said I notice that!!!' So I yelled outside for him to get in and help this man finish the job and finally he did!!!! I had a piece of paper hanging on the wall when I took it down for him to paint behind it he yelled at me and asked WHY DIDN'T YOU LEAVE IT!! I said because it wasn't staying there! He never moved the small tv stand to paint behind it and I asked him to remove these soft mats off the wall to paint behind them and he never did! He never pulled the small refrigerator out and painted around it!! Never applied two coats of paint like promised because you can see the white old paint behind the new color and now when you touch the walls it leaves scratch mark and the paint comes off!!!' This is just one job he came and painted my master bedroom the next day!!!! I will post the terrible job he did there next!!! He is 79 I trusted his word he knew what he was doing and it will have two coats and the ceiling will look good? What a joke!!! I will post pictures. I should have not painted anything after paying the price I paid this thief! I had to move things to finish what I paid him to do! SHAME ON YOU BILL SHAME ON YOU!!!

After quoting me a very fair price to paint the porch, we found out it had been previously painted with a commercial grade and highly volition Rexthane paint - this turned the job into 4 days of prepping, sanding and painting with a crazy toxic paint. He barely raised the price - just to cover cost of paint - and was in contact through the whole process. It is prettier than I could imagine and I feel a sense of relief. Would HIGHLY recommend. Cons: Lacks attention to detail, will not fix imperfections just paints over it (painted over prior painter impressions instead of sanding first, painted over/damaged our new outlets/switches, left drips and bubbles everywhere. After having him come back to touch up the imperfections and hearing excuses and shifting blame on pre-existing imperfections or contractors not prepping properly, we knew we weren't going to achieve the level of work we wanted. Ultimately, we paid him the balance owed. However, we asked him for a quote for the rest of the house to compare rates and gladly hired another painter to fix and repaint almost every wall (absent ceilings). We are now very happy with our current painter. This only proves that we weren't the only one seeing the imperfections. We received higher quality work for a more competitive price.
