Avoid Cornerstone Slate Roofing - Incomplete Repairs, No Accountability, and a Worthless Warranty…read more We hired Cornerstone Slate Roofing (listed on Yelp as Cornerstone Roofing) to install a new roof on our home in Tobyhanna, PA. The job was completed on April 3, 2025, and we paid $11,800. Their contract included a 10-year workmanship warranty--a promise they completely failed to uphold. On May 6, just over a month later, we discovered a section of wall inside the house that was soaked through with water. When we removed the sheetrock, we found active leaking through the ceiling directly below the newly installed roof. With new tenants scheduled to move in on May 16, this was a serious problem. We attempted to contact the owners, Brandon Noble and Jarrod Vosburgh, multiple times with no answer. When we finally got in touch, they agreed to meet us at the house--but never showed up. After several more unanswered calls, we eventually spoke to them again, and they said they'd go over and fix the roof. When they did, they only addressed one small area of the roof--they didn't replace any shingles, just tacked or sealed a section. Whether or not that resolved the leak, it was clearly not enough, considering the extent of the interior damage. Most frustrating of all, they never offered any help with the significant interior repairs we were left to deal with. They made no attempt to take responsibility or cover any of the additional costs we incurred as a direct result of their work. We had to bring in another contractor who handled all of the interior repairs--replacing sheetrock, damaged joists, sanding, painting--and also inspected the roof. He found multiple other problem areas on the brand new roof that Cornerstone had either missed or ignored. This cost us an additional $3,700. Since then, Cornerstone Slate Roofing has gone completely silent. No returned calls, no follow-up, no accountability whatsoever.
