Tent was dirty, moldy and smelled bad. We ordered the sides in case of rain, which were not attached. Three men delivered the tables and 40 chairs and just left them. My in laws are in their 80's trying to get ready for a party, I think it would be good customer to at least upright the tables. When we called the following morning to let them know about the mold and mildew he only had one employee and could not come out and change it. It was for an engagement party, we wanted everything to be beautiful. Renter beware, the chairs are in need of a power washing and the tables are old. read more

This company is amazing!!!!!! I rented 2 cotton candy machines from Deangelis rentals and they get 5 stars for customer service, 5 stars for Price. Reason for my 4 stars was, (1) One of the candy machine was broken and I couldn't use it. However, when I returned the machine and showed them what was wrong ( normal wear and tear on the wire) they told me it'd be fixed AND they refunded the fee!!!!!! So I took a (2) the cart shown on website is not the cart you get. The cart you get is the rectangular box cart with wheels and not the pushcart with big wheels. Its still very nice and very useful as it keeps the machine at perfect height but its not the one shown on site. And the plastic dome is not provided. (3) I don't know how to give half stars on yelp! :( I highly highly recommend Deangelis to rent. Even though they are located in sayville, it was worth it for me to drive from queens because of their prices and customer service. read more

I had my brand new Coleman trailer in for some adjustments at the beginning of May. We just got back from our first trip since getting the work done and everything is great. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable, I can't remember their names and can't remember where I wrote them down, but even the guy from the back that came out to answer a question and the guy that moved the camper to a safe spot were all really friendly. I'm sure I'll get to know everyone's names in the future because I would most definitely be back for anything my camper needs in the future. Highly recommended. read more

Took my travel trailer there twice for the same issue. First time charged me $500.00. Brought it back again, for the same issue, they tell me a BRAND NEW PART was no good. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. My group rented an RV from De Angelis and our security deposit was stolen under false pretenses. As an experienced RV renter, I've never had any prior issues when it comes to returning an RV in good condition and receiving the deposit back. After having lawyers look at their rental agreement, we were told it is a completely bogus contract and doesn't place any liability on them to return the deposit, so legally there was nothing we could do. I had my graduation party in my backyard and rented a tent and fans from De Angelis rentals. I was very happy with how quickly the team came to set up my tent the day before the event. They were on time, set up very quickly and also gave tips for handling the tent. They came back immediately the day after the event and took down the tent. This company could not have treated me better. I brought my rv to be serviced & have some extras installed. They quoted me a good price & the service was great. Unfortunately while it was there I had circumstances that kept me from picking up my rv for 2 extra weeks. Even though they were very busy & needed the space that my rv was taking, they were extremely accommodating & caring to my situation. They were simply amazing. Due to dishonest quoting, price inflation, adding undisclosed charges, and quality I will never use DeAngelis Party Rentals and share this review to help others not get taken advantage of by DeAngelis. Avoid this company at all cost unless you want to pay double for whatever you rent. To rent a helium tank, I was quoted $60 over the phone. I even called a second time to re-validate the cost. To my dismay, the actual cost of the tank turned into double the price totaling $119.49. You get scammed with this company thinking they are differentiated by low cost when they are actually price gouging you right before your event. The day before the party, I went to pick up the tank and pay $60 in cash. The person I worked with the entire time (over the phone and in person) was Brian. When I arrived on site and started to say I am here to pick up the tank for the quoted $60, Brian began to stare at the register instead of keeping his eye to eye contact (admission of guilt). At that time of pick up, he stated I was mistaken with the price of $60 since that is their cost for the tank versus the actual $100 fee to rent the tank. I asked to escalate to a manager or an owner and I was denied and he does not care about reviews. Brain stated he would never quote me $60 and I was the one who was incorrect and may be mistaking them for another company. Upon receipt of the tank, another mysterious $10 charge was added to the inflated $100 for a damage waiver which was never disclosed. There was no damage to the tank upon and return they refused to remove the damage waiver. Brian said they always charge $10 to everyone and don't disclose this cost as a part of the quote since it is their standard business practice irrespective of the condition of the equipment. From a quantity perspective, the amount of balloons they stated you can blow up is between 150 to 200 balloons if you use a standard 9" balloon and the actual amount was under 100 balloons. From a quality perspective, the helium only lasted about 3 hours versus other tanks I have rented in the past that last the entire day. read more

Rented an RV from Chuck at this company and I would recommend to stay far away! They obviously are scammers. They tried to hide all the problems with the RV and on our trip we kept finding more and more problems. It was filthy, the TV didn't work, It shook like crazy when you go above 40mph, the generator kept quitting on us, drawers didn't close. These are just a few that come to mind and there are plenty more. Then when we returned it he didn't even refund the security deposit!!!!! Currently in a dispute with the BBB. Merry Christmas, Grinch!! I would NEVER recommend this business. I called a week before Christmas asking about renting chairs for Christmas Day. They said "don't worry, you don't need to reserve them, just come on Christmas Eve." Christmas Eve morning I called to confirm that we could come- the gentleman on the phone said, no problem- try to come before 12, and hung up. At 12:03, my husband and children were knocking on the door, but no one answered, so I called on the phone and the person inside picked up and said "sorry, we close at 12" I said- my husband is just outside the door and we need 15 chairs. We rented an RV from Deangelis last month and it had so many things wrong! The faucet blew right off the sink when my husband turned it on before we left...luckily so he had time to replace it (himself). Then 20 minutes into our drive to leave for vacation the generator caught fire. When we arrived at our destination, we were told we had a flat in one of the inside, rear tires. We had to replace the tire. We also had no hot water since the water heater was not working. Luckily my husband is very handy and was able to fix this as well. You would think with all of these issues we would be offered some kind of a discount, but NOTHING was given back. We paid over $1600 for an RV with no generator and spent a good chunk of our vacation fixing things! I should also mention the RV needed to be completely cleaned before we left since the table wasn t even cleaned...there were still crumbs all over from the family before!! We were SO disappointed and highly recommend going elsewhere to rent an RV!!!! read more
