I visited Dr. Price for what felt like a potentially acute situation (uncharacteristic headaches, dizziness unrelated to an injury), and her office was able to see me within days (a generic appointment might take months to set up). I was seen 20 min before my appointment and her assistant Jennifer was comprehensive and professional and thoughtful setting me up well to visit with Price. Price was the consummate professional healthcare provider in an old-school sort of way. Calm, collected, compassionate, engaged, engageable, professional, considerate. She is a deep and patient listener and willing to share her own personal perspectives (with modesty) as she fine tunes her focus on me and my needs. (I deeply appreciate the easy-going, good-natured give and take.) She took her time to develop her understanding of my condition through conversation and physical exam to rule out stroke and other possibilities. Her easy-going, relationship-building approach was so reminiscent of how doctors used to behave--how doctors used to interact. I was, frankly, blown away by her humanity as I haven't seen that high a level of quality care for a long while. She sensed instantly that I am a collaborative sort of patient who shares in the health care examination process by providing broad and specific information and even propose hypotheses. As if right on cue, she took all those data and fielded them deftly, providing insights and perspectives and leading to a diagnosis that felt on target. Rarely do I find a doctor who is so openly willing to share in the healthcare process with their patients. Dr. Price is every bit that rare doctor who is exclusively there for her patients' well-being. As I departed, I asked if she was accepting new patients, and essentially she told me she was full. I am already set up to start with another doctor in the coming months (also very well-regarded), but will try to squeeze my way into be becoming Dr. Price's newest patient as she is essentially everything one could hope for in a PCP. read more

Dr. Price is fantastic. It's actually been over a year since I had an appointment with her but I'm so glad she's my PCP. She was on time for our appointment. She wasn't rushed and actually listened to me. Her bedside manner is awesome. And you can just tell that she's a wonderful person when you meet her. I was having massive nose bleeds at the time of my appointment. I was 8 weeks pregnant and my nose wouldn't stop bleeding. She tried to cauterize it but decided it would be better for me to see an ENT(ear, nose, throat) doctor. She called the ENT right in front of me and said I needed to be seen immediately. She got me in that afternoon. She actually wanted to help me (and did help me)! She didn't just rush through our appointment and tell me to see an ENT. She made it happen. I'm giving Dr. Price two stars because I actually really like her as a doctor. She's personable, nice, and communicative. Unfortunately, there have been too many administrative type issues for me to recommend her to anyone else. I needed a new PCP, and initially based on reviews (which have changed a bit since), I thought she was a good choice. My first experience in her office was unpleasant; while I was waiting to be seen, a gentleman behind the front desk said some inappropriate things about my dress. I was shocked and ignored him, and let the doctor know when I saw her. Come to find out, he was a caretaker of one of the patients and just wandered behind the front desk... where all medical records and confidential information can easily be seen since it was left unattended. Ouch. I have a lab bill for somewhere around $235 since something was coded to where insurance was denying it. Okay, no problem, I was instructed to get in touch with Dr. Price's office to correct it. I left two voicemails, one after each time I received another bill. I got my third one this week! When I called again and spoke to the operator over the phone, I and was advised to get the lab to fax over a copy to them. Seriously? I call the lab. The guy was taken back that my doctor's office would recommend this, as he's only allowed to fax things per the client's request (which in this case would be Dr. Price/her office). I'm pretty pissed at this point. I called back to talk to Dr. Price, who returned my call a few hours later and was a bit irritated with me that I had wanted to speak to her about this. Really? Because I haven't tried absolutely everything else? She softened toward the end and let me know they would take care of it, but I'm disappointed. Overall, if you go to the doctor once a year and need nothing else, sure, you could go here. Any extras or comprehensive care needed, I would recommend seeing another doctor. I actually like Dr Price what I do not like is that her staff will not let me make an appointment to see her. In Sept I tried to make a women's exam appointment and was told there was a 8 week wait yikes can't wait that long found another gyno doc that I love. A few months ago I had my back start spasming and tried to get in to see her I was told to leave a messsage for the nurse and she would call me back and try to squeeze me in. Never heard back. Toady when I called needing a throat culture for Strep same thing never called back. Like the doc but if you can't get an appointment there is no point I hope she realizes her staff is not doing her any favors. Time to find a new doctor. read more

I've been with Dr. Price for over 5 years! She's great, she takes the time to listen to your problems, she's smart and doesn't immediately jump to put you on medications. Instead she searches for alternatives for your issues. I can't imagine going to anyone else. read more

Very happy with her. She's been my doctor since she started at YRMC Physicians and she's understanding, listens, and is flexible. She has been open to some more wholistic approaches, though not all. The only thing I dislike about the office is that the rest of the staff has poor carry through with phone calls and getting back to you. read more

Dr Deanna Price is FANTASTIC !!! She is extremely professional and very very personable. I would recommend her to anyone. Her assistant Myrene is also wonderful. No waiting around with Dr.Price she gets you in the office right when your appt is scheduled. Anytime I have needed help I call Myrene and they get back to me right away. I grew up going to Kaiser and feeling like a number. With Dr.Price I feel like a person and a well cared for person at that. read more

I needed a new PCM since the first doctor I saw in SD is possibly the worst doctor I've ever seen. So, after searching the TriCare database for General Physicians, I came accross Dr. Price. No Yelp reviews on her, but I thought I'd give her a try since she was accepting new TriCare patients and her office is close to home. The first time I called to make an appointment with Dr. Price, I was informed that the Doctor likes to see her new patients for a half-hour to talk about concerns and to answer questions. I was flabbergasted! A whole half-hour just to shoot the shit with me about.....me???? Score! And, so I went to my first appointment and we did just that. She was on time, she listened to me, and answered all of my questions with honesty. I told her I needed a referral to a Gynocologist, and she said that she gives pelvic exams and can refer me to a specialist if I need one. I was happy to just see her for the exam. The fewer doctors, the better. Between the initial meeting and my next appointment, I developed a sinus infection that hung around for a couple of days. I called Dr. Price to see if it was necessary to come in. The receptionist told me her nurse assistant would call me. The nurse didn't call me; Dr. Price did. She told me to do a saline rinse, take some sudafed, and to come in if it lasted more than another couple of days. I felt so cared for and genuinely impressed that she called and didn't make me come in unnecessarily. So, today, I went to see Dr. Price for my cookie exam. Her assistant took my temperature, my blood pressure, etc., then led me to the examination room where she instructed me to stay dressed until after the doctor came in to talk to me about any questions or concerns I might have before I get undressed. HOLD THE PHONE!!!! She comes in to talk to me BEFORE I get naked????? My very first gyno at Kaiser in Novato, CA did that, and no other gyno I've ever seen since switching to TriCare gave me that consideration. I once read in a magazine that this is one of the hall-marks of what a good gyno does. And it makes sense.... it's uncomfortable to communicate clearly about concerns, or to even remember what your concerns are, while you're naked. I never quite feel like I'm being taken seriously when I'm wearing a paper gown. The doctor giving me that time made me feel respected and cared for. I never felt rushed or that she was in a hurry to get me in and out of there. I feel like these are things every doctor should do, but seldom do. So, began the exam. I have to say, the speculum was in and out of there without delay; just long enough for her to get what she needed. I went to a gyno once who would leave the speculum in there longer than necessary for no apparent reason. The only thing missing today was the breast exam. She never checked them. No love for the boobies today. Other than that, I loved the experience. I would, without a doubt, reccommend Dr. Price to just about anyone. read more
