My boyfriend and I have passed this place many times without stopping in. Yesterday we decided to…read morestop in and look around. Turned out to be an extremely bad experience. We really liked a cabinet the shop had in the front and decided to purchase it. We thought it was small enough to fit in the car but should have really measured it beforehand. My boyfriend went in and paid cash for the furniture since the place doesn't accept any other form of payment. When we realized the cabinet was not going to fit we put the piece back where we found it and returned inside to talk to the owner. He flat out refused to give us our money back because he stated he already recorded the sale in his books. He said he had no way of knowing if we left and switched the cabinet out with another piece in the 3 minutes we were outside. I stressed that he was fully aware we never left the store premises, but it became pretty clear quickly that he was going to make a sale even if he had to steal from us to do it. When we stated we were going to call the authorities it was only then he offered to buy the item back from us to avoid the police presence. To be a nice guy he was going to buy the item back at less than we just paid him 5 minutes earlier. He stated he needed to charge us a restocking fee for the item we put back ourselves. He then insisted he write up a receipt stating how satisfied with the arrangement we were or we would not have gotten any of our money back. I realize as a business owner you have the right to decide if you will offer a refund, and with the small post card stating "all sales are final" in the front of the counter he legally didn't have to. It is not like we left and came back 2 days later wanting our money back. The Item never left his store. After I was practically forced to sign this receipt he pulls out a wad of cash from his pocket and hands me the money he had decided to return to us. All of this while trying to tell me how long he's been in business there, as if that is some sort of justification for his crooked behavior. We will never shop or stop at this place again. It doesn't cost a dime to be a decent human being, a quality this particular business owner clearly does not possess.

Mark and Becky are genuine, honest, hardworking people with a passion for ponds. We've enjoyed their hands-on training classes and their professional expertise and advise when visiting. Mark help me design my pond, which contains a large brick planter/bog and waterfall with a large lower pond. Our water is not treated, I've never added anything to treat it it is 100% natural filtration. The new store is great, with an enhanced selection. I miss Jack as we always visited and talked about our fish and trains. This year we added a second pond to give our trains something to cross over with our new bridges. Thanks as always for the great service. If you are reading the bad review below, I have to ask myself. How far does the guy from California drive to go shopping for his ponds? 2800 Miles. Really Yelp get rid of the bogus review.......

I gave a lot of grace in the beginning due to time constraints that were outside of the company, but soon started to see that the GC was the problem. I was told the project was going to take 3-months - it took about 8 months to complete and I'm still waiting on some items. A lot of work had to be redone due to it being installed improperly or sloppy work. I expressed how I wanted things to go and the contractor did their own thing. I issued the last check with the impression that they would come back to fix my shower because on the best day the water is hot for maximum of 2 minutes and cold after that . I haven't heard from the contractor in months. I've called, emailed, spoken to the assistant that said they would call back but haven't. I would not recommend this company at all. They lack customer service and follow thru, the work has been subpar and it's a struggle finding someone with good work ethic and integrity

We were discussing our thoughts before going in and were parked in a spot designated for this store. An employee of the store rudely told us to move because it was for his store. He had an oversized red truck that he was unable to park and probably shouldn't have if he can't park it. We moved to another spot but then decided if patrons could not park in a spot designated for the store they are going to and are so rudely addressed it's not worth our time and money. Good job on losing a sale.
