The kolaches were solid too, holding their own against Houston's usual quick stops. The storefront is shiny and new, conveniently attached to a gas station. Don't let that deter you--these donuts will fuel you better than premium unleaded, especially when you need a sugar rush to survive rush hour. If you're on the go and looking for a sweet little pit stop, Danny Donuts is a cruller above the rest. One heads-up: the team had to double-check the milk expiration dates. They tasted old, like they'd been out all day, although we bought them before noon. The glaze doughnuts had no glaze; they looked like doughnuts that have been sitting in a break room for who knows how long, and they were hard.
