There are many regulars that we see and speak to every week. That's how you know people like a place and feel welcome... they keep coming back. Crystal (the owner/manager) is kind and wonderful. She is on top of things and I've seen her do every job from computer work to straightening up to helping cook in the back. She seems to be the type of person who is willing to do whatever needs to be done. She also seems to have a great relationship with her staff and that's also very important. Manuel is very friendly and helpful. He's knowledgeable about their menu and always remembers what our friend likes to drink when she forgets what it's called. I love the openness and space. There's a couch and chairs in the back if you feel like lounging, plenty of tables in the front for eating, working, or just sitting at. There are games that people can play although sometimes children get ahold of them and pieces go missing. There is also a little kids play area which is golden when you have a toddler. I love that I can sit and have my food/coffee and also keep an eye on my little guy while he plays. It's a wonderful place to meet with people or to just take your kids when you need to sit down with a cup of coffee while they play. They have a good variety of drinks on top of the seasonal offerings. The food is good, and I kind of love that a lot of it is made in a waffle iron. It makes me want more waffle shaped food. The grilled cheese is made with sourdough bread and cooked in a waffle iron. It has these little crispy bits that are heavenly. One of my favorites is the sausage egg and cheese biscuit with a side of gravy. It's also prepared in a waffle maker and has those little crispy bits on the edges. So so good! So yourself a favor and give it a try.

I struggled whether to give this place a three or four star review. Overall it's a very nice place,…read moreclean and airy. Order at the counter but a tip is suggested? Had to get our own coffees but our plates were delivered to us. Portions for breakfast are smallish with just the item and no extras (like breakfast potatoes or grits). Avocado toast had a thin layer of brownish avocado spread on a bread that had been toasted on a waffle iron. Scrambled eggs, looked like they had been premade and broken into smallish pieces. That said my latte was very good and they offer a lot of drink options. Partner said plain coffee was good but not great. Not sure I would go back unless I was driving by because getting breakfast there did not satisfy. It was more like eating at a fast food place, which will keep you from being hungry, but not necessarily be the greatest experience. I hope this place can hang on but needs something to make it more buzz worthy.

I had read some reviewers stating that the food was bland, but my guess is because they are so used to very seasoned/salty foods. I, however, eat fairly healthy and rarely eat out so this was actually not too bad. It wasn't salty and within my ballpark of what I would normally eat at home. The rest of my party enjoyed their meals as well with one having bacon and hash browns, others having eggs with cheese, and pancakes. They had also stated that the coffee was delicious. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The inside of the restaurant is what you would expect from a diner. Not overly decorated, but seating was comfortable. The restaurant also has a shop where you can purchase stuffed bears and desserts, such as cream pies. I was tempted to try one, but thought maybe at another time. Hopefully will return again in the future to try another dish like a sandwich.

The "bacon" came crumbled not in slices and it was nothing but wads of grizzle. I took the disgusting bacon off and tried to eat half of the very well done hamburger. I got a side of chili which was tasty but would have been better if served warm or hot. Service was good. Place was clean.

The decor is fun, engaging, and every where I looked I found something really cool and awesome about the place. I could probably spend a whole day just looking at the walls as if it was a museum of Pasadena's finest including police officers. Came in and was greeted by friendly staff. Tyler was my waiter and took my order: Eggs Benny with half order of grits and Hashbrowns since I wanted to try both sides out on my first time. Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection. The egg was perfect and the Hollandaise was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Nice thick country ham was fried and complimented the eggs and sauce well. The English muffin was drenched with the yolky and Hollandaise goodness that sent my taste buds to Flavortown! The Hashbrowns were cooked very well. The nicely browned crisp wrested well with the soft goodness laying inside. Thank goodness they have Cholula because that's favorite way to eat them! Grits were textured well and hot. Added lots of butter and salted them up to my liking. Next time I may add cheese! Definitely will be back again. Friendly staff, my waiter, Tyler, was amazing and attentive. Management greeted me with a smile as I walked in. Thank for making my Eggs Benedict EGGSACTLY how I love them! Other notes: Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Loved the Texas vibes and all the interesting decor.
