Luckily, my future father-in-law, told me about Guy Blando, the same jeweler he bought my mother-in law's engagement ring from years ago. Prior to meeting Guy for the first time, I had no idea what to expect, but I can say that I was thoroughly impressed and at ease. From the customer service to the diamond 101 training, Guy Blando's Jewelers truly offered a remarkable experience. With Guy's help, I was able to customize the perfect ring for my fiancé. From the first visit, I was amazed with how much there was to learn about choosing a diamond, and I learned a lot, which helped me to pick the perfect diamond cut, clarity, color, and carat (what I now know as the "4 C's"). After choosing the diamond, Guy helped me create a unique band that I knew Nicole could not resist. As it turns out, Guy helped me come up with the absolute perfect ring, and Nicole said, "YES!"

When it comes to engagement rings I know you ladies would *like* to think your man knows your…read moretastes in jewelry as well as they know you. That's why I'm sure most guys get the standard "I know you'll pick out something I love" or "Anything you get for me will amazing and I'll love it." Well if your guy is anything like me, he's COMPLETELY CLUELESS. Leave us to our own devices and you'll end up with a much better car stereo than what's going to sit on your finger. So why not leave it to the professionals instead? Guy Blando runs private business with generations of jewelry experience. You won't find the cookie cutter conveyor belt atmosphere like Robbins Brothers. When you walk through the door, try not to get panicked about the lack of display jewelry. That's not what these guys do and if you want cookie cutter jewelry, this probably isn't the place for you. If you want something special with a bit of personality, Guy's your man. For people unfamiliar with the 4 C's (color, cut, clarity, carat) and for the guys, the 5th and most important C (cost). Guy takes care of all C's. All diamond virgins have to attend Guy's Diamond 101 class. This is where he sits you in one of his offices, teaches all the C's, and the leaves you to inspect and learn through practice. There are a lot of skanky jewelers out there, this will at least help you see through their scams. When the search for your perfect gemstone begins, you get to tap into Guy's expertise and his network of dealers to find the right stone with the right price. I had a great time working with all Guy and his personable staff. He helped me design a custom engagement ring based on my pictures and sketches and made sure everything met my exact specifications. The end result? I got the perfect ring made from scratch without having to pull my hair out during the process. You can entrust your big purchase to chains or snooty stores that have no interest other than lightening your wallet, why would you? Give Guy Blando a visit and he'll make sure you walk away happy (and definitely more knowledgeable).

They were both amazing, kind, and resourceful! When he was discharged, I was exclusively pumping but knew when we got home, I'd work on breastfeeding again. We have come across some challenges along the way, but I chalked most of it up to him learning that a bottle is easier to eat from. I initially went to The Nook to discuss my supply. However, I got so much more help than that! At our first appointment, Kelly immediately pinpointed a lot of my own concerns about my son even before we got to formally discussing him. I felt so much better having someone help identify the issues he's been having but haven't been fully addressed! At a subsequent appointment, Celeste also offered her opinion and corroborated Kelly's. Kelly referred me to a few specialists and even got on the phone and tried to get me in to one while I was still in her office. She also gave me her email address to follow up, and has checked in on me! I probably (maybe?) would have ended up at these specialists eventually down the road, but ended up getting assessments and interventions done NOW because of the guidance I've received. For that I'm very thankful. As a result, both my son and I are having an easier time with feeding and it's only been a few weeks. My supply still isn't where I'd like it to be. I know Kelly helped in every way that she could with suggestions and tips. That and breastfeeding have been big stressors...and Kelly literally wiped away my tears - as my hands were full feeding my son - as I cried over it. The woman is amazing and has helped my son and I so much! My son has now latched and breastfed several times since some interventions have been put into place. I'm one happy momma; I honestly wasn't sure we'd ever get to this point! I highly recommend The Nurturing Nook and Kelly for help with lactation and feeding!

She helped identify my sons issues, help us and recommend additional resources. They also have a FREE breastfeeding support group every Tuesday. You can go, do a free weighted feed, and speak to a lactation consultant. It's not one on one but it's still very helpful. Highly recommend this place

Since they have relatively limited merchandise and are often out of varying sizes you are forced to just pick something if you need to return an item. I received gifts from SO and my options for exchange were minimal. I normally wouldn't have purchased the items I selected for the exchange. There is a big push to shop local small businesses but the return policy is a big turn off.

There was another customer in there who just got out of the dressing area receiving positive and cheerful comments. Both sales associates were very pleasant to her. Since I carried my daughter who was about to fall asleep I asked my husband if he could inquire if they had the sneaker in a size EU 36. Oh boy that demeanor of the heavier set sales associate changed! Cold and rude she snapped saying that this is a size 6, which I confirmed to my husband. He added, kindly what the return policy is since he already knew that I wouldn't be able to try them on in the store, given I carried my half asleep daughter. In a condescending tone we were told that we can only return via store credit. Check out was cold and unpleasant. Amusing that the heavier set sales associate seemed so pleasant to the Caucasian appearing customer but not to us. I always felt that the Hinsdale community is rather diverse in respect to suburban communities but it was evident that some of the quiet parts are still very loud and obvious. Will not set another foot in this store. All of this commotion and absurd behavior over some cheap Sneakers.
