Only me and one other student showed up, and the place smelled like a sweat-fest (those ballerinas before us must have been workin' it). Teacher was casual, a very talented choreographer, and hungry because she kept going to the side of the studio to eat her dinner in between instructions. I didn't sweat (again, I think my body was tricked by the studio's aroma into thinking it wasn't necessary) but I did feel challenged by the routine. Only about 1/3 of the class time was dedicated to dancing; the rest was warm up moves, funkywalking across the floor, stretching, and ab exercises. The music choices were contemporary which was a plus. I would have liked to learn a longer routine than three counts of 8, but its all good.

One restroom for the girls and it is not kept up. The space is uncomfortable and very crowded when you wait for your child's class. I will not get into specifics on all the reasons I pulled my child out of the class, but I will say cleanliness was the main reason. I asked for a partial refund and clearly didn't want a full refund as my child did attend some of the classes. I was met with emails from the owner on how following policy I should not get a refund. She emailed way too personally on how I should not give a negative review and how it would hurt her business. Again, I will not go into details, but feel that she should have given me a "partial" refund on the classes now missed and under the circumstances, not follow her policy. She sent me a $30 sign up fee and returned it to me only. No partial refund and I tore up her check as I feel on principal as I should have received what I asked for which was not a lot of money at all. I was given feedback from Tumble Kids on how cleanliness is a priority for them and how many times they clean etc. If they indeed do that, how come the lobby stinks? Come on! I was told it's because it is a gym and gyms smell. Seriously? I have been to many gyms with sweaty adults and the gym does not smell! Even the doors coming in are full of grimy hand prints. Windex them! Deodorize the lobby. The play area for little kids looks like you will catch something. Like a grimy daycare. I will never be back, will never recommend and shame on Tumble kids for not giving a partial refund under the circumstances. I am being very kind in my review for not mentioning more as my intention is not to hurt any business but bring awareness of any customer paying for services and not getting a clean environment. I will add that the teachers are nice and the kids do enjoy the gymnastic part of it. But in all reality, the gym is way too small to accommodate the amount of kids they have in the gym at one time. Each teacher tries to organize her group and teach among other kids jumping around them in other classes. The space is not big enough and Tumble kids ought to look for a space that is and clean it like they should. Even though they CLAIM they do!! : / Sure!

I took beginner piano + music theory lessons with Dan for three years. We did in person lessons for…read morethe first year and then switched to virtual lessons after COVID. I would not hesitate to recommend Dan to anyone looking to learn guitar, bass, drums, piano, or music theory - he is a beast at all of these instruments and has a wealth of knowledge and resources on all of these subjects. Our lessons were equally directed by both my interests and his recommended path for beginners - we spent time learning pop songs, jazz standards, beginner classical pieces, approaches to improvisation and songwriting, and doing deep dives into the underlying theory of all of the above. I'm an adult learner with a full-time job - I feel like Dan always struck a good balance between understanding that I have other time commitments, while still pushing and encouraging me to get into a healthy practice routine, and recommending exercises to do even when I only have a few minutes a day to spend at the piano. His studio is fully equipped and would be awesome to visit if you can do in-person, but his set-up for virtual lessons is fully decked out as well, with multiple cameras, virtual "piano roll" view, and great a/v quality. All in all Dan is a great guy and a great teacher - very knowledgeable and well-versed in many instruments and genres, but more importantly very approachable and good to work with. I'm a better, more confidant musician after taking lessons with Dan!

I had no prior experience to piano, but he was a great teacher. I mentioned that I was interested in jazz, contemporary classical, and some pop songs, and he was able to teach each genre to me. He also shared a lot of music books via PDF which was great so I didn't have to purchase additional materials At least during the time I took lessons, Dan had a system where you paid for four weekly lessons at a time. If I was unable to make my time during the week for whatever reason, he offered other times he was available so I could make up my lesson The only reason I stopped taking lessons was because other commitments in my life were overtaking my free time, but I truly enjoyed having Dan as my teacher and having the opportunity to finally learn piano.
