I'm in my last trimester of pregnancy as well, so I was skeptic on driving there in the first place but this apt was for my baby shower! As I'm approaching GF, I received a text from Jaci stating she feels unwell half an hour before the apt and wanting to reschedule to the next day.. I told her that's unfortunate as I could understand her situation. But with it being so last minute and her confirming the apt was a go the night before.. cmon. I tried requesting a later time in the day until she feels better, I was willing to do some shopping and visit a friend while she gathered herself. But she seemed adamant on staying home to rest. As I can understand feeling sick unexpectedly and how it can cause inconveniences, the appointment was scheduled a month out. And was also spoken about the day prior. She ended up getting advice from her boss which I thought showed great professionalism! In the end the conclusion was to do a bunch of highlights and blend it together. she took out my foils, changed the mix, and it worked out! She was very on top of things during the whole process, making sure my hair was not getting damaged because of the reaction it had in the beginning. Clearly, she is not qualified to do balayage and it appalls me that she attempted to do something that she isn't qualified to do and isn't even sure what the hairstyle is. Also, there was dye left all along my hairline and in my ear. The hairdresser was constantly wiping my cheeks because she kept getting dark hair dye on them. I had to scrub my skin when I got home in order to get it all off. I will not be returning to Avant for any hair treatments, or treatments in general. I paid $220 for something I am very disappointed in. I sought correction from a far better hair dresser at Salon Seva.

Even though it was early on a Saturday morning, Mikki and Jadie were both super friendly and fun! The weather, however, was not cooperative at all. It was pouring cats and dogs when we got there, and the rest of the day was super humid. Amazingly, all of our hairstyles actually stayed in place and looked beautiful throughout the day (and night)! Mikki and Jadie really know their stuff! The salon itself is quiet and clean. I had no trouble finding a parking spot nearby. One of my close friends (the bride) gets her hair cut and colored by Mikki on a regular basis, and it always looks great. I highly recommend checking out Fringe Salon!
