He said no problem, he would cut it out just to be sure. I asked him about the cost and he asked me if I had given my insurance information to the front desk, which I had. He checked with the receptionist, came back, and told me that there would be no charge and that it was all covered under my insurance policy. I then mentioned that I had two other spots on my skin and asked his opinion whether those should be removed as well. He said, "since there's no cost, I don't see any reason not to have them removed". He then said, "I will need to send all the samples to the lab to have them tested by a pathologist to make sure they are not malignant. That way we can classify the procedure as a necessary procedure rather than just a cosmetic procedure to make sure it's all covered." I agreed with him and the entire process took less than 30 min. And then 6 MONTHS later I get an invoice for $1,060!! I ignored the first invoice because I had been told there would be "no out of pocket expenses". A month after that my account was sent to a collection company. After calling the dermatologist office multiple times, they're only solution was that they could give me a cash discount. Of course the doctor would not speak to me, and when I asked the billing department why the doctor had lied to me, their response was "insurance didn't cover it." Does it make logical sense that I would order multiple procedures without having any idea of the cost? Does it make sense that I would add additional procedures on top of the initial visit without know that there would be a cost or what that cost would be? Of course not, a logical person doesn't request a bunch of non-life threatening medical procedures without first knowing the cost. Mr. Bohyer handled the situation unprofessionally. Mr. Bohyer does not have integrity. I'm going to go ahead and pay my fees and move on with my life. But my fear is, how many other people has Mr. Boyher done this too? Is this the un-written office policy, to lie about what the patient will be charged and then bill them 6 months later? I wonder how many other people Mr. Boyher has taken advantage of. The general public typically holds the medical profession in high regard, but you have tainted that image. Shame on you sir, shame on you.

From what I have experienced, Doctor Hector knew what he was doing! As well as the receptionist Sharla was very welcoming and helpful. I would 100% recommend them and the prices are very affordable!!! You get half of the price of what other "technician" would charge as to going to Doctor Hector, he is a board certified physician. Thank you guys again!! Will be coming back again for the rest of the treatment.

I have long wished to have the lower stomach tattoo removed and finally got the courage up to visit Laser and Light Surgery Center and do just that! I love that their website had a lot of information about the removal process. I also enjoyed that the price was listed as well as what to expect during and after the procedure. On the day of, I entered the office and was nervous. The receptionist that greeted me was really nice. It was only a short wait until I saw the gentleman that performs the procedure. He confirmed the price that their website states, a tattoo like mine would cost $100 per treatment and may take 7 or 8 treatments. He was very patient with me as I was hesitant to let the laser touch me but wanted the procedure. He used 2 lasers on me, one for colored ink and one for black ink. I had heard that the procedure was way more painful than getting a tattoo however I found it to be less so. Three weeks after my first treatment and my tattoo is already much lighter than it was. I am quite happy with my experience!

With a location in Bloomington and much closer, I thought I would switch as the location's schedule freed up. Nope! After meeting with Veneda Vann, I knew I was in great hands and, of course, wouldn't change. Veneda handled the couple of items I came in for expertly. (I hate that freeze dragon thing she has, but I must say, the results were absolutely perfect.) I went back for my follow-up this week and she got me with the cold dragon again, but I am so so so very happy having her as skin expert. The Medi-spa in Bloomington they can refer to, and the dermatological issues you may have would be expertly assessed and handled by the team here in Whitehall. What else can I say? These people are genuinely great folks. Everyone was friendly and seemed happy to be at the office, which makes a big difference to the overall vibe of a place like this where they may be flaying you alive and using that ice zombie Vaserion-like freeze thing. I have never had a better dermatology experience and I trust these folks with the largest organ my body has. Don't let my biases be yours! Give them a shot and see for yourself. May your skin ever be smooth and your happiness limitless.

I'd refer any of my friends or family here- they've been a blessing! Side note, I don't think the doctors previously reviewed by Yelpers are at this practice any longer. Give them a chance!

Website scheduling shows appointment dates available, but then doesn't allow you to do it online even though you are an established patient. When you call to ask if the appointment on the website is available they want to ask you 10 different questions before they will answer the question. Then they tell you the next available appointment is 6 months away, before admitting that there is an appointment available in 5 days from now. Patients with a history of skin cancer should not have to wait 3-6 months for an appointment. Hard to understand that they think this is an acceptable way to treat patients.
