On Jan. 9, 2026, because I was uncomfortable giving them the security code for my new credit card, Dr. Jill Kern (periodontist and acting office manager) refused to discuss the issue with me. She immediately became very nasty and aggressive, saying that they don't want me as a patient any longer, and that I should leave their office. I had arrived early for a 11:30 appointment with Dr. Bruce Kern, who has always been my periodontist. We've always had a very pleasant rapport. I refused to leave and said that I have an appointment. Jill threatened to call the police. I wanted to speak to Bruce before leaving. He refused to speak to me. As I said, "One hell of a way to treat a loyal patient". Note that the security code should only be used for remote transactions, when you have to prove that you actually have the credit card. That security code should never be kept on file, in permanent storage. Doing so totally defeats its purpose. In Kern's office, they keep a permanent record of your credit card number, the expiration date, and the security code. I have always had Cigna dental insurance, always paid in full my co-payments and any deductible amounts before leaving after a visit. I couldn't even get a response when I asked if paying in full by check or even cash, would they still insist on recording the security code for an unused credit card. I can't understand their blatant disregard for my concern. I would have patiently and respectfully listened to their point of view, but that wasn't part of Jill's temperament. Unfortunately, I am not the only one to write a negative review. Upon returning home, I called three of my credit card companies (Visa, etc.) and they all confirmed that my concern is well founded. I was informed that asking for the security code for in-person transactions is a violation of the agreement that businesses sign with these major financial institutions.

I while back I did a review in reference to Dr Reich. He did some extractions on my upper arch then…read moredid implants followed up with an amazing appliance. He also did two implants on the bottom. This is an update. Today he removed the upper arch to made sure everything is doing well. The point is that his care during and after is simply extraordinary. I also want to recommend his office if you need a cleaning. I had the pleasure of meeting Dental Hygienist Beth. She spent an hour cleaning my upper arch, explaining what she is doing and why while explaining how to proceed at home. I still have most of my natural teeth in my lower arch so there are other concerns. She took time to explain what I needed to do to keep those teeth healthy. She also introduced me to several tools to use at home and gave me samples to take home to get me started. This was the best cleaning I have EVER got in my entire life. Also, I was treated with a topical anesthetic which has never happened before. It made the treatment easier for me than ever. Everyone at Middlesex Periodontics and Implants are great people at what they do, done with compassion and great care. You will never have a better dental experience than in this office!

Look this one is long overdue…read more.. I've been coming to Dr. Reich for parts of 5 months now. His office was recommended to me by my primary dentist. I was having some issues with my gums. Originally thought it was related to the Invisalign on my upper gum. Apparently not. Can't say that flossing has been very easy for me over the years. But after a few oral procedures on my gums I finally got cleared. Thanks to the hygienist named Beth, who always gave me different gadgets to try every time I came in. Even giving me a crash course on using some of those items. Going forward, will still have to come here every 3 months for that deep cleaning that isn't offered at my primary dentist. This takes a few visits for upper and lower gums. If you need a periodontist I do highly recommend this one. This is a small office. Waiting area currently allows for only 5 people. And yes, one still has to wear their masks inside.

(Kelly is extraordinary by the way). I found this doc through some friends and they were right. They love him as do I. My regular dentist attempted an extraction while not knowing what he was doing. I had my mouth open for 90 minutes while he attempted to get it out and left half of the tooth in my mouth. I walked in to the doctors office and Kelly got all my info. I also had an infection and had started taking antibiotics. Doc walks in, tells me he is going to take it out then and there to stop the pain and ten minutes later I was done. Easy peasy. What impressed me besides the doc and his knowledge, was the calls I got from Kelly making sure I was okay. If you are looking for an oral surgeon, please go to Doctor Salman. He is terrific.

RICHARD SALMAN proved to me that moving on to a true competent, compassionate and professional oral surgeon made a world of difference. After two extractions and the beginning of an implant, I can honestly say that Dr. Salman and his super staff (thank you, Kelly, Kristen, Annie and everyone else there) are always able to give me the expertise and finest dental treatment and best professional and personal care that I need. If you ever need a consultation or treatment that requires oral surgery, implants, etc., at least speak with Dr. Salman at either of his 2 locations before anyone else. You won't be sorry.
