Rudest owner on the island…read more If you enjoy being barked at by an agitated dog while the owner mocks your concerns, this is the place for you. We went out of our way to visit this winery, only to be met with total hostility. The owner's refusal to leash his incredibly obnoxious dog is irresponsible, but his attitude toward us was the real dealbreaker. My mother in law has been bit in the past, and was so uncomfortable. Plenty of other spots on Orcas Island actually value their customers, skip this one. The dog chased our car on the way out.

I believe the labels on the bottles I received were from a previous year. The wine is full of sludge, and the corks are dry. I asked them about it and they have not replied, so I can only assume I am right. With this kind of service, I predict they won't be around much longer-they have lost me as a customer! There are lots of wineries out there that have good wine, and better customer service!

The round wine barrel tables indoors allow conversing with everyone seated uncomplicated; eye contact and sound. Wine tasting fee is $15 and waived with the purchase of two bottles. Wine can be purchased by the glass or the bottle. Water is self-serve at the counter. Food items are light, ranging from cheese starters, salads and pizzas. During our visit we shared a few different bottles of wine, each of us favoring different blends. The White Blend bottle for $24 was a favorite for the couple ladies that preferred sweeter wine. We shared the Beet Salad for $16: Arugula, roasted beets, goat cheese, pickled red onions, pistachios and balsamic vinaigrette.
