Your employees have been nothing less than timely, professional, and hardworking. Each member of your team has provided excellence and answered all of our questions along the way. We highly recommend your company and will do so with friends and acquaintances that inquire about deck rebuilt and repair projects in the future. We are thrilled to show off our new deck and eager to see the finished product once the staining and painting are complete. When we initially began the process of finding a company to create the deck and outdoor experience we were looking for, we researched diligently and your outstanding company reviews were the leading factor into pursuing your company. Initially, we inquired for a reference on the NextDoor smart phone app and you were recommended by one of your past customers. We looked at four different companies and decided on Deckscapes for our project. Although our initial project planning changes along the way, we are so happy we chose your company. Thank you for your outstanding and TRUSTWORTHY service.

An attempt by roofers to fix the problem did not help and I've hired a roofing company to make necessary repairs. I also had a Belgian Cobble Stones put on patio and they are very uneven causing more water to stand and puddle than I previously had. Recommend for a porch but, unfortunately, not for a patio. All has been repaired and I'm very happy. Kurt and son Brett did a great job.

Jeff came by and gave us a fair estimate and good recommendations to improve the overall layout of the proposed design. We had a general idea of what we wanted and Jeff helped point out different perspectives that we greatly appreciated. All their crews were booked up with work for several months in advance, which told me that A LOT of people were eager to use this company. Now that the deck is finished I can see why. The quality and craftsmanship is incredible and impressed my general contractor father. You can tell this was a very experienced crew that got the whole project done in a little over a week, which is amazing. We opted to go with a higher tier Trex plank material for its low maintenance and durability. The price was fair (middle of the road from the other estimates I got) but the overall value was outstanding when you see and feel how sturdy and well constructed it is. If you're looking for a new deck, you will not be disappointed with these guys!

My husband is an architect and designed our project which included cantilevered steps on all three structures. We first met with our sales rep, Mike Luick, and he was very nice & had a really good understanding of the complexity involved in building the structures. He stated he would have "Archadeck's best carpenter" work on our project and there is no doubt that we definitely received the best. Colby Parks and his dad, Gene, were phenomenal to work alongside and set the bar high for any other carpenter or any type of contractor we ever encounter. Colby is a master carpenter - he is highly skilled, smart, an excellent communicator & problem solver and takes great pride in every single detail. Colby & Gene kept a meticulously clean jobsite and even put plastic under their truck to be sure oil didn't leak on our driveway - these are the little things that are a big deal. Ultimately, they cared just as much about the final product as we did - as if it were their own. We did encounter issues with the stain crew on our rear deck, but without going into all of the details, I'll just say that between Mike Luick and the stain crew supervisor, Ismael, they did whatever it took to make things right & to make sure we were completely satisfied. In the end we love our new porches and rear deck. Here are our Pros and Cons: PROS: 1. Colby Parks and Gene Parks 2. Archadeck did whatever we requested to fix any and all issues we encountered with the staining to make sure we were completely satisfied. 3. Mike Luick is great to work with and very professional - nice guy. 4. Ismael - I'm sure he's always "putting out fires", but he keeps things very professional & is always friendly. 5. Warranty CONS: 1. Expensive - Archadeck should only use Premium lumber on their projects, especially for the price we paid. 2. Stain crew - did not take pride in their work, were in a rush to get it done and always left trash or debris in our yard.

However, I think our deck needs to be closer attention to the final product how the customer will feel about it on down the road.. In my case, they were quick about putting it up but the carpentry I would give a 6/10. The electrical I would give a. 2/10. Why do you choose hard to dick or anyone else? One big thing is after the carpentry is done and before the windows are installed it needs to be stained or painted as to the final color prior to windows being installed. I responded in surprise so what what is your 90% ballpark estimate as we discussed (understanding minor adjustments and design changes can change cost as well as materials prices). His response was 30k so I asked he email me it as we discussed to confirm the size and design and again he said I don't do that and if you want to move forward we can get more detailed. I asked him directly " am I detecting an attitude in your responses as my desire is to make sure we are on the same page. If I can't get the estimating person to provide a basic estimate to build off with out a tone that I should just agree and hand him my cash is unacceptable. A basic estimate would have taken him maybe 15 minutes and would lay out timelines, payment schedule and clarification on what the 30k provides is not to much to expect. Under no conditions would I agree to any work where I get a fraction of my desires addressed / confirmed understanding and then be spoken to like "agree to us doing it then we can address your questions with a condescending tone. I thanked him and walked him to his vehicle. I called the office and explained my dissatisfaction and refuse to use a company that the sales person can not keep his frustration in check and forgot I am the one paying for the project and not some guy on the street that was interfering with his day. Attitude and respect sets the stage and if providing a quote is an annoyance, then don't advertise a free quote (perhaps the old saying you you get what you pay for is true, I paid noting and got my money's worth). I would prefer to pay for an estimate fee and feel my desires were heard and understood as I make my decision. George

This is the first time we seriously considered terminating a contractor mid-project. Communication was consistently poor, the project schedule and material ordering were severely mismanaged, and the crew showed up only six days over an almost two month period in the summer when the majority of work should have been completed, contributing to turning what should have been a three month job into a six month project. Job-site cleanup was not maintained, significant errors were made, and there was resistance and defensiveness when those mistakes needed to be corrected. Rather than taking accountability, the company disputed issues that were clearly the result of their own lack of oversight and execution. Overall, the level of service, organization, and workmanship fell far below what we've experienced with other contractors and what you would expect at this price point.

He damaged our walls, left holes (8) and then toke us to court for $80 he still changed for the install!!! Geesh! We had a Christmas party and wanted to have the TV mounted so we could play music HOW IT STARTED. He arrived 30 minutes after the agreed time (3pm Christmas Eve) but that wasn't a big deal, it's Christmas Eve. Once he arrived he was very talkative about things not related to the job. I left him to work so it could get done since I felt like a distraction. However, I actually ended up feeling a bit uneasy at first because he came into The kitchen while I was washing dishes, walking up behind me...that startled me. He randomly was asking about my kitchen cabinets and random things. He started sharing Things like how he hunts and owns land, the people he knows, even sharing an experience he had when he felt sexually disrespected by a friend! I honesty went to my safe and put my gun on me. I didn't know where that was going, it was really weird. (My husband was at work so we were all alone). It was really hard to feel comfortable with him talking so much and moving around in areas not related to the job but at some point I just sat down and started recording him. HOW THE TV GOT BUSTED: (RECORDED ON VIDEO) He received a call and had the phone held under his cheek so he could talk. As he picked the TV up he had laid face down on the floor, it slipped out of his hand and he almost dropped his phone. Saving his phone he dropped the TV. He said a few words but proceeded to mount the TV. Once it was mounted, plugged up and turned on the screen was destroyed. Derrick, the guy doing the install, finally tells me he's going to buy a new TV to avoid filing an insurance claim. THE FIRST REPLACEMENT Derrick walked out the door and I asked him if I needed to text him the TV model, he said no that he got it. An hour later he comes back as promised with a new orange box TV...one problem, that's wasn't what I paid for. Once he got it in the house I told him it wasn't the same as the TV he broke. He argued that it was, a 65" TV but I had to show him the brand was wrong. That TV was about $200 cheaper than my TV. He was very upset and walked outside mumbling certain !#% words to himself. THE SECOND REPLACEMENT He left out to get the right TV. At this point it's TWO HOURS LATER... almost 5:30pm. I sent him a picture of the right TV and the store he could find them at. A little over an hour later he comes back with the right TV. At this point he's fussing and complaining about the entire situation. He mounts the TV but the measurements and level were wrong so he had to redrill. He drilled so much he offered to patch the holes for free when we moved. Smh. TV mounted, plugged up and turned on, BUSTED! Screen messed up. At this point he lost it. THE OFFER IT WAS TOO LATE to get another TV so he promised to come back after Christmas to Replace the TV again. THE THRID REPLACEMENT As promised he showed up an hour early, got the TV and receipt he left and went to get a new TV. ! He is extremely talkative. My husband helped him with the mount, plugged up turned on it worked! THE ARGUMENT ONCE THE TV WAS MOUNTED he told me he was sending an invoice for payment. While I fully intended to pay at the beginning I was surprised he wanted me to pay the full amount cost giving nothing for the loss we incurred for Christmas nor our inconvenience. Nothing. He argued with my husband for about 15 minutes about how he spent gas . (Drilled over 6 extra holes in our wall, big holes, and my husband helped him mount the TV) THE END I simply told him he owes me a discount. I didn't ask for free, even though I feel like it should be. He eventually offered $80 but I'm not sure he should get that. This entire event is recorded. My advice to you...RECORD

They also responded to my Yelp project request very quickly. They completed the work on time (even a day early), the team was courteous and professional, and the quality of their work is great. They listened to direction well, and corrected any issues that arose (they put back a light fixture in the wrong place and moved it after we pointed it out). I feel they knew what they were doing and the best products to use. They covered our flooring and elements that were not getting painted to prevent damage and I can't find any paint spills or smudges anywhere. Our project also involved a lot of wallpaper removal. I was nervous about this because if the wallpaper is not removed correctly the wall can be damaged or leftover wallpaper glue can cause the new paint not to adhere correctly. But it seems they did a great job with that part too. They communicated well with us via text. We weren't able to check on the project in person every day so they sent photos and details on progress. I plan to use them again for additional painting projects.

Rather than stating that they're great to work with (which they truly are) let me elaborate on my actual experience. Given I was seeking to remodel an existing porch structure in a pretty significant way, I initially enlisted the services of a structural engineering firm to create drawings for me. Thereafter, I began interviewing prospective contractors to perform the work laid out in the drawings and was quite surprised at the relative indifference and/or opposition shown by several contractors toward the existence of the plans - most claimed there wasn't a need for them or attempted to tell me how engineers just overcomplicate things. Paul, on the other hand, was actually delighted to know that I had these engineering plans in hand and went over them with me at our very first meeting. He was intelligent enough to realize that if he followed the engineering drawings, as laid out; he would have no issues in getting the project through the county code enforcement process which would be a win for both him, as a contractor, and me, as the client. Paul takes a lot of pride in his work and he works hard to please his customers. By nature, I am a very particular individual; and being a Realtor by profession, makes me even more so. Paul took all of my feedback in stride and did everything he could to meet my exacting standards. There were days when I literally hovered over him and his team; more so to learn from them (given my profession) rather than to supervise - but I'm quite sure this couldn't have been a lot of fun for him and the crew. In the few instances where my expectation on certain things happened to exceed the underlying project scope; Paul was very diplomatic in pointing this out to me and we quickly found common ground such that I wasn't compromising his profit margins and was able to fulfill my desires. I also wanted a proper estimate on the front end; as well as, a full paper trail of the project - including change orders - which Paul readily supplied. Paul's pricing was fair and the project was completed within the cost margins of error and project timeline I had planned for. I had a vision for what the porch would look like when completed and Paul provided a lot of good feedback in making my vision a reality. We talked through a lot of different things like material choices, design, electrical outlet locations etc. I'll conclude by saying Paul is just a genuinely good person....period; and anyone who opts to work with him is in good hands. Thank you Paul, Ivan and the rest of the team!

On September 20, 2021, I contracted with this company to build an outdoor kitchen for $56,000. I paid the full amount in good faith. The project started off well but was never completed. Throughout 2023, I made multiple attempts to reach out by phone, text, and email with no response. Due to the lack of completion, I had no choice but to hire another contractor, which cost me an additional $22,000 out of pocket to finish the project. There were also issues with the original work that required further repairs. In 2025, we met and a written agreement was signed for repayment.
