I shamefully went into this shop yesterday after seeing a small (note - small) red armchair on display, the polite designer who gave me the price also gave me the feeling that Julia Roberts character in pretty woman must have had when walking into a Rodeo Drive boutique dressed as a lady of the night! anyway, the chair cost £1,745!! but to be completely fair, I was also informed that a basic design without the red velvet would cost only £1,280! Needless to say, I made a sharp exit. If you require the efforts of an Interior Designer to give further evidence to the speculation that some people have more money than sense (and that is being polite) then look no further
