We started at the River Ventures Dive Center at 6:30AM, where we were offered coffee, tea, hot cocoa and snacks, and spent the next bit with an educational video and a wetsuit fitting. From there, we took a bus to the dock, in the most gorgeous sunrise light. let by our Guide Nat. Captain Emerson met us at the covered, heated pontoon, and our group set off through the water, for the protected manatee zone. The water was FULL of our sweet sea potatoes... in fact, it was difficult to even get off the boat because our new friends swam right up to the ladder. Nat had given excellent instructions. We immediately leaned into our pool noodles and gently followed her lead through the water. It took just moments before manatees were all around us. We stayed calm and quiet, and they either continued snoozing, or swam up to investigate us. Nat was on point with the camera, and with showing us things like the tarpon and sheepshead fish, and she was also shared little details about the manatees as we floated. Of course, with nature, there are no guarantees, and I really had no idea what to expect, but I was absolutely delighted by the interactions we had. The cold snap absolutely played into our favor, and I am so glad we showed up with our adventurous spirit. When we returned to the boat, there were more snacks, as well as hot cocoa, coffee, tea, and a variety of drinks in the cooler (water, beer, wine, soda, and white claws). We were so grateful for the boat covering and heater as we made our way back to the dock, and we had great chats with Nat, Emerson, and the other group on our tour. Was it cold? Sure. But the water felt great at 72ºF, and our wetsuits did a wonderful job of protecting us and keeping us buoyant. Our experience was incredible, from booking, to engaging with the staff with any questions we had, to the actual tour itself. The photos and videos were absolutely phenomenal, as well, and we were happy to purchase the package, as well as some gifts from the souvenir shop. We will be back for more manatee viewing, or to try one of their other tours. Thank you so much for the best day!

Fast forward two years and change: my mother was in the hospital for over a month, and during one of my backroad drives, I stumbled upon Twistid Ink. Maybe it was a sign. A few days later, I reached out to ask if they could do a "Skin Motion" soundwave tattoo. They replied that they weren't yet licensed with the company, but invited me to send over my ideas for a quote and a conversation. From there, we scheduled a consultation. This was my first tattoo, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I met with Alyssa, who was incredibly friendly, compassionate, and down-to-earth. She was open about the potential challenges with this design and genuinely wanted me to be happy with the result. She even did research on the affiliate company to ease her concerns, which spoke volumes to me--how rare it is today to find someone who truly looks out for your best interest. After our conversation, she recommended Matthew for the work, as he specializes in fine lines. I was touched--she could've kept the job herself, but she prioritized getting it right over making a few extra dollars. We moved forward, placed the deposit, and Twistid Ink went above and beyond: Matthew completed all of the requirements to officially join the Skin Motion network. This little shop did so much more than I ever expected. Twistid Ink completely changed my perception of what a tattoo studio could be. It's not your typical shop--clean, cozy, and filled with kind, approachable people. Matthew did an incredible job and helped ease all my first-timer nerves. A huge thank-you to Elisha, Alyssa, Danny, and Matthew. This tattoo carries so much meaning, and I simply don't have the words to express how grateful I am.

UPDATE: 5 years post pool- install with this absolute NIGHTMARE of a company. We still deal with…read moreUNEVEN FOUNTAINS because they admitted to skimping out on plumbing and putting our deck jets on one plumbing line with one valve instead of 2, meaning the first fountain closest to the valve gets all the pressure and the second one is very noticeably lower in height because it gets less pressure. Our feet continue to get TORN UP in the pool because they sold us the pebble sheen but put in something MUCH COURSER which destroys everyone's feet. The bottom is SO SO ROUGH! Our concrete continues to be a huge issue and we will eventually have to have it redone or add a French drain because it is SO UNEVEN on one side that rain just sits and creates a complete mess! The roof they put in continues to leak like crazy as it did immediately after completion. People that come over to our home are appalled at the work of this company! I invite anyone and everyone over to see the complete CRAP work of this company! I am shocked they are still in business!

First, person that was switching our spa cover around, had to borrow tools from my husband and was asking for help. Second, my husband noticed some nails were missing on side of spa, but thought none of it, when the job was finished. When we confronted worldspas of Ocala for the third time and asked about repair we were given some lame excuse about storm damage. My husband secured cover so could not be lifted in hurricane, so that theory goes in drain. We've contacted them three times for issue and they never bothered to call back or respond by email. If the job was done right the first time we would not have issue now. My husband did not have confidence in them from the start and he was right.
