They offer relaxing rides to enjoy the breathtaking scenery from meadows down to the rivers, or more advanced rides to hells canyon where you can experience rocky terrain and steep inclines. They pair you with your horse for the week so you can really establish a bond. The fly fishing is great! They offer lessons for first timers in their pond which does not require a license or you can head down to the boulder river and enjoy some of the best fishing in the area (license required). They offer other activities such as a Jeep ride, river floating, campfire dinners, and games (volleyball, horseshoes, and roping). There is a hot tub to soak your worries away in your spare time and lots of places to sit to take the beautiful views in. You will not go hungry during your stay here! The food is homemade, fresh and prepared for cowboys and cowgirls! Enjoy meals such as steaks, pastas, potatoes, brisket, full chicken, fresh veggies, seafood, salmon (fresh!), burgers prepared over a campfire, full breakfast spread of pancakes, eggs, bacon, homemade breads, muffin and more. We brought snacks with us that we purchased in big timber and did not touch them once so leave those in big timber and bring your appetite as they do not disappoint! The best part of our stay was the staff. This is a family run operation and it shows by the level of service they provide. I haven't ever experienced something quite like this before. The level of passion, care and concern they have for each one of us was so amazing. They just want each guest to have the best time and live their life to the fullest for the week they are at their property. There are no TVs, radios, cell phones so this is a time to truly disconnect. You can choose to get a phone card which will work in the main lodge for emergencies. The staff for the summer of 2019 hit it out of the park which is why all but two of the families were repeat guests who keep coming year after year. We can't wait to return to Hawley mountain and can't speak highly enough about this magical piece of the world.

I had originally wanted to do their 2.5 hour trail flower ride but it booked up before I had the chance to reserve so I ended up booking just the hour 'trail ride'. It was really nice that all the horses were saddled and ready to go when we arrived. They were careful to pair us with a horse that matched each of our skills and temperament. The 'trail ride' was beautiful ride up a small mountain if you will and then back down through a little valley to the stable. It was pretty short but for $50/person, I honestly did not expect more. It was a great price point to experience the horses and see the stunning views from a 360 perspective for an hour. Pro tip: Book early for the longer ride!

Ours was more of a suite than just a room with two, nice, comfortable queen beds, a sleeper sofa and another area that could easily have accommodated a sleeper up to a teen. Bathroom was quite large, plenty of light and an opening window. No tub but a GREAT shower!! All very clean. Typical motel fridge and a microwave present. Probably a 32", wall mounted television, small Keurig coffee maker, a table and two chairs. The hotel we stayed at prior to this one, a VERY nice hotel, had neither a table nor chairs and it cost more than twice what we paid here. Plenty of electric outlets, WIFI is SUPER fast and excellent, 5G, phone reception. Plenty of free parking. No need to go to one of the more expensive motels in town, this one will do very nicely and save you a few bucks for more Yellowstone National Park souvenirs.

The bathrooms were clean every time we used them and the showers had great water pressure and temperature. While we were out hiking, it began to rain. The barn is charmingly old but very clean and well-maintained. The grounds are peaceful, gorgeous and impeccably manicured. Dan & Nancy are warm and welcoming people and will see that you are comfortable and well-cared for. This is not an all-inclusive venue, but they have a number of excellent local caterers, florists, etc. that they can put you in touch with. Danica, their daughter, was our event coordinator and made sure everything ran smoothly to make for a perfect day. The backdrop for the wedding, which was outdoors, was the Bridger Mountain range and made for a nice setting and outstanding pictures & video. Now for the lodge. Wow, our jaws dropped when we first saw it. A large and beautiful log home that we stayed at, just steps from the wedding barn. Several family members stayed with us and we all had plenty of space and privacy. A fully-equipped kitchen, basement billiard table, and TLC decorating touches all make for a cozy place to spend time. You could rent the lodge separately if you wanted to stay there and enjoy outdoor recreation or winter sports. You will NOT be disappointed.
