I called the motel on the day of check in as we were running behind schedule. I was assured we were assigned a room, and would not get the last available room (sometimes that happens and the room ends up not being what was originally booked). I asked about extra blankets available at check in. Lisa, the hotelier, offered to have one put in our room before we arrived so we wouldn't have to worry about waiting for it once we checked in. Once we arrived, we were greeted as we entered the lobby. Currently, it is decorated in a Halloween theme, and very thoughtfully done. We were issued metal keys for our room....nice touch. We entered our room and weee greeted by soft classical music and a comfortable 70 degree room. The carpet is clean, laid on top of thick carpet padding...another nice touch and easy on bare feet. The bathroom is likely original to the building but was very clean. We didn't think much of the mattress until we realized our bodies didn't hurt when we woke up. We forgot our swim suits so weren't able to test the water, spa, sauna etc. They do sell swimwear in the lobby but we opted against it. The continental breakfast is worth taking advantage of, consisting of home made banana bread, which is quite tasty. Coffee, tea, milk, water (I am a water snob and I filled my travel thermos every morning and night straight from their ice machine), yogurt, oatmeal and a few other items were available for us to eat. And the infused water....Lisa makes it fresh daily and it is amazing! Don't let the age of the motel steer you away. While it was build in the late 1970's it is well kept and has a lot of charm. Lisa and her husband are wonderful people whose goal is comfort for their guests.

Last year during my visit, we were shopping at the Co-Op next door, and I said, I'm going to run over and peek at this pretty Motel next door. It surprises you. I made reservations for the next year, and got to spend a few nights here 2 weeks ago. The lobby is just lovely. Lisa served up a somewhat continental-style breakfast. It was just perfect, with everything you need to get your day started. I grabbed my breakfast, sipping my hot tea, reading the newspaper, chatted with some of the guests, and soaked in every minute of my morning. In the afternoon, Lisa lays out other snacks and always has a nice fruit bowl. The downstairs pool, hot tub and spa area are worthy of a Four Seasons. One afternoon, I walked to the downtown area to shop and explore. It was just a few blocks away, an easy walk. My bed was delightfully comfortable, and my room was clean and well-appointed. I felt safe throughout my entire stay here. I woke up, looking at the Majestic Mountains every morning. What a view. When you call, ask for Lisa (the owner's daughter). Her Dad/family has owned this establishment from the very first day it opened its doors. Thank you Lisa and all the staff at the Lewis & Clark. Everything was just wonderful. I will be back. I love supporting local businesses. This is a gem!

Vintagey and mid century modern I cannot get enough of it. Tiny details everywhere you look. Staying for only one night is tragic, and I might cancel our 5 star hotel anniversary celebration last day of vaca splurge stay next week when we fly home just to stay here again. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Price is a little bit high but I think that's everywhere these days right but so worth it. Little bit of street noise but honestly nothing to really mention but I didn't hear any neighbors, not sure if that is the usual or not but I was extremely satisfied and happy and hope when we return I have the same experience. Be warned the cafe attached makes the parking lot completely full but it clears out after breakfast at least it did on a Saturday so not sure how that works for guests if they can't find parking! Ours was more of a suite than just a room with two, nice, comfortable queen beds, a sleeper sofa and another area that could easily have accommodated a sleeper up to a teen. Bathroom was quite large, plenty of light and an opening window. No tub but a GREAT shower!! All very clean. Typical motel fridge and a microwave present. Probably a 32", wall mounted television, small Keurig coffee maker, a table and two chairs. The hotel we stayed at prior to this one, a VERY nice hotel, had neither a table nor chairs and it cost more than twice what we paid here. Plenty of electric outlets, WIFI is SUPER fast and excellent, 5G, phone reception. Plenty of free parking. No need to go to one of the more expensive motels in town, this one will do very nicely and save you a few bucks for more Yellowstone National Park souvenirs.

After a long stay in a national park, we arrived around noon and understood it was too early to check in. My wife politely asked if we could use the gym while we waited, and the front desk staff member said no because we needed a key. I then politely asked the same question and received the same answer. When I asked if we could speak with a manager, I was told the manager was not there, with no other help offered. After explaining that other hotels on our multi-week road trip had easily allowed gym access in similar situations, and that the staff member could simply open the door for us, he eventually went to open it. Unfortunately, the gym had no working A/C, no way to turn it on, and the elliptical was not working. Later that evening, another front desk employee confirmed there was nothing they could do about the heat. The experience continued downhill at check-in. When we entered our assigned non-smoking room, it smelled like smoke, so I had to return to the front desk and request a room change. In the new room, the bathroom sink was clogged, adding yet another maintenance issue to the stay. The next morning, my key did not work for the gym. When I asked at the front desk, a different employee told me they normally leave a weight in the door to keep the gym open because of the lack of A/C. In other words, the initial insistence that "you need a key" was not really accurate, and the situation could have been handled much more reasonably from the beginning. We also replied to the hotel's own "reply to this text if you have any feedback" message and specifically asked that our concerns be escalated to management. No one ever responded. Because of this stay, I canceled another upcoming La Quinta reservation at a different location. The poor service, lack of management follow-up, smoke smell in a non-smoking room, clogged bathroom sink, broken gym equipment, and overheated fitness room made this one of the worst hotel experiences of our trip.

I'm not sure if that was an upgrade or if it was in the room details as this was another last minute booking while on the road. We thought it looked much better than we expected & were pleasantly surprised. We paid $235, after taxes/fees for the night, on the weekend before 4th of July. The parking lot was large - with limited lighting. Staff were friendly & welcoming. The included breakfast was, bad, really bad... yes, it's the same as all the other ones we posted but also it's not the same. There was 1hr left on breakfast & no attendant around, tho 2 staff did come & make themselves plates & leave. The potatoes were cold, as in not cooked through cold. The biscuit, yes, biscuit, because there was only 1, was so hard you couldn't cut through it with the plastic knife. Even the make your own waffle stuck so badly that it was a top & bottom scraped off - but that actually worked outvok cuz it melted the butter well. We ended up splitting a waffle & raiding our snack box in the truck a bit later. There were 7 coffee cups but no coffee (I did let the front desk know, as we watched 5 people try to get coffee to no avail) & no juice cups. The coffee cups ended up being used for the juice & when we left the breakfast area, there were no cups & still no coffee. We brought our own coffee cuz we're snobby like that, but I know people (self included) get really moody without their bean water. In short, this was our favorite room of the entire 3 state trip & also the most inedible food. I'd absolutely stay again but perhaps plan to find breakfast elsewhere or bring something with.

First cause of alarm, there were no vehicles present. Off to the right is a marijuana dispensary about the size of a small takeout coffee drive-thru. Behind it is what appears to be a hotel, but it is not active, or at least it had the appearance of not being active, i.e. no cars around it. Maybe at one time this was part of the operation. To the left was what the online pictures of the place I booked looked like. Again, there were no cars present, so my sketchometer started to peg. I went to where the sign said "office". The door was locked. Looking inside did appear like a reception area, with tables and chairs, a desk. Some years ago we booked a hotel in Seattle, arriving late at night and there was no one on duty when we arrived. People in an unfamiliar town, late at night and nowhere to stay, very unsettling. There was a sign posted to call a number if no one was there. I called and spoke with the proprietor. She told me she would be there in 15 minutes. She did arrive and asked me my name. She seemed to know of our booking and asked what room I had booked. This was months ago that I booked, a laborious search looking far and wide around Yellowstone, where nightly rates seemed to start at $300 and go up. I recalled the room name was the Jefferson. She said, "oh, that is number 4, follow me around to the back." So there is a narrow turn off the corner of the building on this gravel drive around to the back. As you went around the narrow gravel roadway, looking further downhill toward the river at the back of the property past some trees were campers in tents of various types. The building has a very ranch-like feel, rustic cut lumber and trim. Two stories , the covered deck on the backside is each units entry point with a combination lock key entry. A rather beaten up screen door was in place on our unit. It was broken. You park your car here, just a few feet from your door, no actual space marked. Entering a small vestibule where a mini-fridge, coffee maker and table are present to the left. A doorway to the right off that is the bathroom. Very small, only one person could fit at a time. The door just clearing the toilet. Shower, no tub. From there is the bed, chest of drawers, TV. Another doorway is present. I am shown that by using that you enter an interior hallway that is common to each unit, a washer and dryer are available there. At the end of this hallway are a full kitchen, a couch and big screen TV. What appears to be a small 2-3 person bar is present. Another seating area off that. The area is dark with a low ceiling. You are given a key to the door of your room off the common hall. It is a very simple door/lock. Being from a city, the security of this door gave me alarm. Considering we were in Montana, maybe not a problem. The room was tastefully decorated. The pillows were not great. The DirectTV package was pretty basic, not a lot of selections, many shopping channels available. It appeared like there was a leak from above on the ceiling that needed some work. The toilet cycled every few minutes. Not much insulation shielded the upper units from the lower. Persons moving about were easily heard. As you pulled around the facility to leave, just adjacent to the road was some form of commercial building with a loading dock. It had no name on it, also a rather odd arrangement. Looking at reviews of the past, people really liked Seven Points. I don't want to bash a business based just on my personal experience. Our expectation was this was going to be an affordable option to W. Yellowstone. Some people like rustic, ranch-style and are more connected to the outdoor activities of the area. I get that, everybody has different tastes. Our visit was to see Yellowstone and to not have to pay over $300 a night. Seven Points is a great alternative to West Yellowstone prices. In 25 minutes you are in the Yellowstone North Entrance on US-89. A simple drive. On making several trips in/across the park, the North Entrance through the town of Gardiner was in my opinion better than West Yellowstone entrance. The downside of the Emigrant area is that it is remote. Some other B&B operations are opening near Seven Points. We were not into communal bath arrangements they had. Dining limited. We had meals at the Old Saloon, and Follow Yer Nose BBQ. Old Saloon was ok, we really liked the BBQ. Behind Follow Yer Nose is a bakery, but we did not try that. Beyond that you have to go into Gardiner for any level of choices. If you pack and fix your own meals, Seven Points makes sense. Another way to save. There is a general store across from the Old Saloon, but the choices of food items there is only slightly above what a convenience store stocks. It appeared that Gardiner was the closest full-service grocery.

This is Mr& Mrs Smith collaboration too and don't recognize Hyatt globalist so no breakfast or free parking ($20). They said there was free local snacks but we didn't see any and forgot to ask No stairs so come prepared. We ask for first level but always nervous bc it's facing the parking lot.

The TVs have streaming available with screen share, but I could not get it to work! Fortunately there's so much else to do that it wasn't a big deal. I'd highly recommend this hotel!

I love a good artichoke - this one was very interesting - it had a bit of cheese and seasonings in the center which meant the outer leaves were unseasoned and the interior was delightful. We knew were had overordered so we opted for Steak frites and shared. Everything was cooked perfectly. The one disappointment? The peach margarita - even with a small slice of peach, I couldn't taste peach, nor did it taste like a margarita. It was very flavorless. So still a fabulous experience, just not as fabulous as our last visit.

What we love is their staff - they have hired really great people who care about the property and the people who stay here. This park is clean, sites are well-maintained, and a nice shop with essentials and gift items. Oh did I mention the ice cream? Oh yeah, love sitting by the community camp fire, eating ice cream, watching eagles and ospreys fly across the river, and meeting new people. Definitely a favorite.
