I wanted a Harley Logo to cover up my ex wifes name on my neck. Was told they dont feel comfortable doin the logo cause its a hard tattoo to pull off ...especially on the neck. Then I was sent a Pic of a queen's crown that looked like a sketch that a kindergarten kid drew that was supposed to be Jon's idea of what to cover up my ex wife's name with instead of my Harley bar and shield . I was caught by surprise with this photo and took a step back. Waited a couple days and sent another idea. Just to be told the same thing . They didnt feel comfortable.doing this tattoo. Im so confused because the pics of the work done by these artist that are posted online is amazing .How could they not be able to feel comfortable doing any tattoo? Thats what artist do, create art! The receptionist and I worked together for a couple weeks and I forget exactly what happened but it all fell through and I gave up. He is very knowledgeable about placement and design and steered me into the right direction and drew up the perfect sketch for me. He is an amazing artist! It's a small shop but they do a good job enforcing the social distancing; everyone wears masks and they sanitize their stuff between clients. Now on to the actual tattooing- day of, Neil and I went over our expectations and he was very thorough in making sure the tattoo stencil was the right size and we toyed around with placement options. He's very aware of your expectations and wants everything to be perfect for you. He always makes sure you're comfortable! I highly recommend Neil. However, she added some white to make it "pop", and I feel like it actually made it look faded! The second tattoo was supposed to be on my buttocks, but when all is said and done it is actually lower back. I do love the tattoo, but it was meant to be private, and now anyone can see it in low rise jeans. I take some responsibility for this however, when you are bent over a chair you can't really see that it's not in the right spot. Plus I think it is a bit higher than where she initially showed me. The main reason I am writing a review though is because I think this place could work on their professionalism. I booked an appointment with Cindy, for my husband, a few weeks after I got my tattoo (because I had to return anyway, to get my butterfly filled in and it was already paid for). We showed up for the appointment and Cindy was not there!! The other tattoo artist had no idea she had a 2pm appointment and no one was able to accommodate us. I think we should have at least received a phone call to reschedule OR even an apology phone call after this incident. We received neither! Also the appointment should have been written down in a book like any other service based company. This really turned me off to this tattoo shop. From now on we'll be taking our business elsewhere. A few months ago I was in town and wanted to remember the moment with a tattoo. I was greated by a tattooer and shop girl who were pleasant and nice to talk to. The shop minimum was the highest I've seen but I liked who was going to do it, so I agreed. Before I left, I was assured I could return for a touchup when I was back in the area. Well today I returned and politely said I had work done here before & it needed a touchup. Though the guy I spoke with was kind, there was a woman whom I never saw before who was unnecessarily rude. She interjected saying well I'm the only woman here & we have a 90 day policy for touchups. I explained this is news to me as I've never been told that from there or any other shops. She goes on to puff her cigarette at a workstation and say well we tell everyone. I again stated I was not and left the shop with a tattoo they did that needs a touch up and vow to make sure those who come by here to just stay away & go somewhere else. This is just the first of the many calls I've made with a complaint. Winchester doesn't need this garbage wasting our space & taking our money for shitty work.
