But what I experienced when I walked in the door was an overwhelming smell of dog and dog food. It was so overpowering I almost walked out. But didn't want to get charged. Under the aquarium, there was dog food spilled everywhere and dried slobber. As I walked back to my room for my massage, I actually tripped over a dog toy. My massage therapist just played it off. With sore shoulders and back, I was hoping my experience would improve. Massage was two out of 10 While my massage was going on, the dog started barking. I've never wanted a massage to be over so bad. What I was hoping would be a nice, relaxing experience turned out to be the complete opposite. I honestly don't know who is giving this place 5 stars?

The woman at the front was nice, and had me fill out a form and draw where exactly I had the most pain and wanted them to focus; which I said was my lower back and glutes. Once I was laying on the table, the owner came in and very quickly talked me into a "patch" treatment, with a 30 minute massage. An extra $20. I really tried to say no, but she pushed that the massage wouldn't be enough and I gave in. The "patches" were pieces of masking tape with seeds and herbs under them, taped onto my hands. $50!! When that was over, the massage finally started, and the majority was on my shoulders. I kept commenting that my sciatica was bad, and the few moments she did my lower back I was saying it was nice and to do more, saying repeatedly that that's what hurt. She continued doing my shoulders. I was honestly relieved when it was over, and when I stood up to get dressed, my lower back was somehow stiffer, and had barely been touched. I tried to get dressed without messing up the tape on my hands, without success. When I went to pay, I was visibly confused and upset, and was asked "how much tip"? I have never in my life not tipped, but I was going to. I gave her a $10. Then the owner came to the front and saw I was upset and gave me a partial refund, which I did genuinely appreciate. Even with the money back, I feel like I wasted money and time, and my back still kills. What's the point of the form before the appointment if you're not going to massage where I said I wanted? The ladies were both very sweet, and I am thankful for the refund for the "patches", but I won't be back.
