I visited Alice again today for another massage and I've decided she's definitely my new go-to for a good sports massage. As is typical, I overdid something and tweaked my shoulder over the weekend. Once I realized the pain wouldn't fix itself, I called up Alice to set up an appointment. I lucked out and caught her when she had immediate availability for a 90 minute session. Upon arrival at her place she had hand sanitizer at the door and took my temperature prior to allowing entry. Once we were in the room she explained her sanitizing methods to ensure a clean and safe environment for her clients. She is very diligent and it's appreciated. The massage, of course, was fantastic. I am so happy to have found Alice. I got a 1-hr deep tissue massage this past Monday because I was having some pain towards the left side of my back. I went to a chiropractor a week before looking for pain relief but after some adjustments, the area that was irritating me was left unchanged. I just dealt with it and went about my week. Alice is super sweet and it's obvious that she's also a skilled professional. I called her on a Sunday afternoon because my knee was hurting after doing a lot of bootcamp workouts. She identified the area in my leg that was causing the strain on my knee and worked on the area with good pressure to help relieve the knots. Then she found a few tight spots on my opposite leg that I didn't even know about. She was in constant communication about pressure levels and my comfort. Years ago I sustained a shoulder injury while playing basketball but never felt pain until only a few weeks ago after trying to lift weights for the first time since the Covid-19 shutdown. The pain was both aching and borderline debilitating. It felt like my shoulder was going to pop out every time i lifted my arm above my head with a nagging pinch in the joint area and I had very limited range of motion. After 2 sessions, I feel like i'm getting back to my normal level of comfort with the pain greatly reduced and my range of motion back to normal levels.
