Restroom: generally clean, with 3 stalls per gender and locker rooms available. Soap was not refilled in one of the restrooms during my visit. I've climbed at many gyms before, but this location stood out because of a very strong odor upon entering. It was much stronger than the typical "climbing gym smell." The receptionist mentioned it was likely from climbing shoes. The gym may benefit from improved ventilation and deeper sanitization/drying of rental shoes. Plenty of activity areas: kids climbing section, routes with various difficulty levels, grip exercise area, weightlifting area, cardio area, one ping pong table, bar area, and open seating/storage spaces for belongings while climbing. The routes are color-coded by difficulty: green is the easiest, followed by blue, up to black for the hardest routes. Some gray holds appear to function as safety/additional assistance holds that can be used if needed. They also host college nights with student discounts. Members can bring one guest for free, and rental shoes are $5. Else adult day pass is $30. Overall, a good bouldering gym with lots of amenities and climbing options, though ventilation and shoe sanitation could be improved.

Our group had a nice location set up for the event and multiple staff members to help out the littles. This place also has a cafe and some beers on tap which is just another awesome addition. Bathrooms were clean and they also had locker rooms. Add to the equipment they had around and this is really great place for workout or exercising. One final thing is that they allow outside food, so for events you just pay for that and all the food and drinks are up to you. Quite an awesome place for a group team building event!

When I first walked in, I immediately noticed all of the natural light coming into the room. It really added to the outdoorsy ambiance. The employee at the front desk was super friendly and was quick to get me set up. As for equipment, grabbing shoes was easy (pulled them out of the storage cubes to the left of the front desk), and they provided a harness as well. I'm not sure if the staff normally does the walkthrough on tying a proper knot, since my friend and his friend did it for me. Nonetheless, I do like that they have that area separate from the main climbing area. Helps to take the pressure off a little bit if you're new. There seemed to be dozens of different climbing paths to choose from, with signs at the bottom indicating the level of difficulty. I found that particularly helpful since, as a newbie, everything looked hard. Also, the people I observed and interacted with on the floor were extremely friendly. Really great vibes coming from the community here. The pricing, based on information from my friend, seemed reasonable, since it included the gym and classes. It starts you off with climbing then when your legs are about to fall off....you climb somemore. About an hour of climbing you finally reach the top and you are rewared with a nice view of the South Fork American River with the happy rafters riding down it. Look to your right and you get a really nice view of Salmon Falls bridge and Folsom Lake. Unlike the Salmon Falls Trail you share this one with equestrians so look out as you're flying down that hill. Definitly an advanced trail for mountain bikers. The climbing wall for kids, too, which I can imagine my kids using more in a few years. The area is always well-kept, feels clean and safe, and check in is easy once you've signed the waivers. We also had my son's birthday party here and they made it so easy to book, host, etc. The real reason I'm writing this review is that on one of our most recent trips to play here, I noticed their exceptional care and attention to detail in two ways- first, my son and his friend bonked heads, as 3 year olds do, and one of the guys working came right into the play structure to check on them because he heard them crying. He even offered an ice pack. So kind! Later during our time, I saw him step in and address a child's behavior who had been very very rough and consistently rude and aggressive with other kids. He went right up to the child's caregiver and gave a warning and a consequence after the behaviors he had been observing (we saw the same!). I bought a day pass for a visit here for some bouldering. The day pass is 25 before 3pm and rental…read moreis included for the first time. The process was easy and we filled out our forms rapidly. The shoes are self serve and i noticed that they also provide rental chalk. The bouldering area is quite minimal, but they had a number of interesting problems and the boulders are all on Kaya, my preferred app for logging my climbs. They also provided 0 training or onboarding for us so if you are new to the sport, I would recommend coming here with a friend who knows the ropes haha. The grades made sense, I wish there was a bit more slab type climbing though, and the overhang area is also fairly minimal. This is obviously a much more top rope oriented gym. There is little AC but they do have fans, and there's a small strength training area and some treadmills. The bathrooms are quite well appointed with hair dryer, tampons, and nail clippers. Enjoyed the trip for sure!
