The man that we had to meet with from here the next day was truly awful and years later, I still have trauma over the interaction. He was rude, cold, no empathy, no heart. We asked to see her and he just kept saying absolutely not and hard no's. When is it a stranger's choice over the family's? I felt like my grandma was in terrible care after this interaction, and I could not shake the feeling. He made us feel like we were taking up his time and bothering him. I will never forget his coldness and abrasiveness. It made me so upset that my grandma had arranged for this place. He made me feel like she was not treated lovingly or with any kind of gold standard of care, and for that, I will forever wonder in the back of my mind if everything went well there for her, especially bc we never got to see her or hold her hand for a minute or anything whatsoever at all.
