New beauty salon to open in Dalkey; from the outside it's completely revamped so it's brightened up…read morethe place and inside, their bright fresh look continues. Straight into the nail/pedi parlour area this is also where the reception desk... I was a walk in, so with no appointment I was greeted by friendly assistant, chancing my arm for shellac nails at 5pm on a Saturday, this was not a problem she promptly seated me and got it underway. At great price of €25 they have a huge range of colours! They offer everything from hands, feet and body treatments plus their waxing is priced really well so will be popping back and availing of this. Only 2 doors up from me, this could be my regular go to place... Also love they do make up application so for special occasions this could work great for me :-) Whilst my nails were being done, there was light hearted chat going on amongst us; there was another lady having her nails done and the 2 workers, one being the owner and she was super friendly, within a few weeks of opening they've really done well in the village, considering local competition these ladies have a great reputation so people have warmed to them and got booking in with them. My nails are looking great... They lasted for 3 weeks so great job and when I went back to have the shellac redone, the experience was again excellent :-)

Perfection. Recognizing that yelp is not the review tool of choice in Ireland, I'm writing this…read morespecifically with expats in mind. I moved to Dublin from San Francisco 6 months ago and have had a heck of a time finding a decent mani/pedi...until now. Boom, Amia. Not only do they make my sausage fingers look beautiful but they also make me feel welcome and warm and as though I'm an old friend walking through the door when I come in. Getting my nails done used to be a chore; I now look forward to it. Aaaand that's just the tip of the iceberg. Dive into their spa treatments and there is no way you'll be disappointed. In fact, I'll bet you my own money that you'll find a new level of bliss with their services. Specifically, I treated myself to the body exfoliation scrub and the hot stone massage treatment. I'm not gonna lie, I've had some pleasurable experiences in my life but they're all almost a distant second to this spa treatment. Head's up, it's not the mani/pedi price and experience you'd be used to coming from San Francisco. It's not a quickie in and out but schedule yourself some time for it. It's worth it. Friendly, attentive, exceptional salon services. Do it.

They were the worst job I've ever seen. She didn't glue the extension nail to my nail bed at all, and after filing my nails until the skin on my fingers was raw (4 cuts in total) I could fit the extension of one nail fully under the other, no binding AT ALL, they were all sitting completely off my natural nails. I told her they were completely lifted she tried to tell me it was because of the skin under my natural nails coming up too high - what has that got to do with glueing an extension to the nail bed???? the manager came over and offered to fix them there and then but after being there for 2 hours I had no desire to stay, so on request of the manager there I came back on Monday LIKE THEY ASKED and was charged €60 for extensions THAT I DIDNT NEED Appalling service and I'm shocked that I was charged after the lack of proper training left me with nails so short they're sore, the girl who fixed them today took videos on her own phone and pointed out the raw skin and cuts to another staff member and went to speak to the manager there today about the state of my fingers and I was still charged if I could, I'd have given 0 stars

Thank goodness there's a beauty outpost air side, otherwise I simply would have no place to take…read morethese ragged cuticles and dull skin. At Nail & Beauty Lounge in Dublin's The Loop shopping zone, there's a pampering treatment for everyone: from 15 minute Jessica manicures at €25 to 25 minute pre-flight facials at €30, to manscaping or a revealing Brazillian (€50 for 50 depilatory minutes). Prices are surprising, as Nail & Beauty Lounge works to keep their rates competitive with Dublin salons rather than extorting trapped and hairy browed customers with no other option than a flourescent-lit ladies room mirror and a clothespin (remember, no sharp objects are allowed in carry-on). Bookings are available, but you're just as likely to get a walk in appointment given the long waits required these days between check in and boarding.
