This was by far the best, straightforward experience I have had with ranges in the state. Chief…read moreresponded to my initial call and provided all the information I needed to get through the process. The appointment was set right afterwards, and the range went very smooth.

Met "Chief" over at the Chicopee Golf course when he was working there part time as a ranger. After talking with other colleagues at work, I decided to put together a small group of us to get a class going. Fast forward to Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 5:30pm. Myself and 5 other teammates came to meet "Chief" & "Apollos" to take their most basic class called the GAFASTA Basic Pistol Training" Class This class is a 2 part course where we do the classroom training first at the office. Followed by going out to a shooting course. So, let us start with the classroom training. Here we learned a few main rules including NO LOADED WEAPONS IN THE CLASSROOM. From there, we went over some basic safety issues, such as pointing the gun forward, as well as how to hold the gun properly. We learned the '5 step process to shooting', which is from the holster to 'stabbing out'. Stabbing out is the process when you are aiming the gun down at the target. We also learned that sometimes people are not eye dominant to where they thought they were (righty people were left eye dominant, and vice versa). Lastly, we learned how to take a part a gun rather quickly, as well as assemble it with ease! On Sunday, we went out to Chief's private ranch up in Monroe, GA. This is a huge lot with lots of trees and scenery. The steaming lake running through the front to the birds chirping in the background. Walk down another hundred feet or so, and you are at the shooting range where they have water barrels and targets approximately 5m away. Here, we were taught the proper way of sighting, gun control and most of all, SAFETY. They cannot emphasize that enough...safety is key! Keep all guns pointing down the range. Keep all bullets out of the clips, keep the gun on the barrel until called. Overall, this experience was better than any other class that you'll ever experience. Though it is listed as a 'beginner' class on paper, this is far from a beginner class irl! Come check him out, as this was an amazing experience, and we (as a group) cannot wait until next class when we take the intermediate class!

This was my first time shooting in a very long time. this…read moreis the range that my colleague loves to go to, so needing to destress, i decided to join him... we used a bunch of his guns first (a few 22mm, then a 9mm), and after we depleted all of his bullets, we decided to rent some more guns ($10 for all the guns u want (1 at a time though)) and some more ammo i started off slow, but started to get the hang of it as time went on. got a short tutorial from the staff while i was there, as well as instruction from my buddy. The staff was absolutely amazing. they explained each gun to me, and didn't get upset when i asked stupid questions (such as what is the difference between the calibers? or why some guns are so tiny, yet cost nearly $1000!) In the end, i was quite impressed with the service they offer, an the prices are quite reasonable. for 2 people, it was $20 for range time each target started at $1.50 bullets - for a 22mm, it was around $5 for a 9mm, it was around 16 i can't wait to go back...such a fun time (just an expensive hobby!)

The range staff are young and quite rude. My interaction was just checking in and out to shoot. Despite comments by the owner, in response to similar reviews, that he would address the situation....apparently not! Maybe, the rude staff are family members? Regardless, the behavior is abhorrent and remains as others have commented. For those looking to shoot, buy or transfer a gun, there are several much better alternatives within miles of this establishment.

Just wanna say that I couldn't disagree more with two very negative reviews in the past six months... it is curious that pretty much every single complaint was somehow the exact opposite of my experience, although my inexperience means I don't know what competitive pricing is, to be fair. I found the ventilation to be more than adequate, did not notice any foul odors, and found the instructors professional and upstanding. Also should point out that me and a couple other newbies did not hit the target hangers, maybe that negative reviewer should consider their own capacity...

Compared to other professional shooting ranges, the prices are nearly three times higher. In addition, the ventilation system and overall customer service are unacceptable. I was strongly encouraged to purchase a one-year membership, but after experiencing the facility firsthand, I believe the membership program is highly misleading and completely inappropriate for the level of service being provided. The staff members demonstrate a shocking lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. Their attitudes are arrogant, disrespectful, and completely inconsistent with what customers should expect from a firearms-related business. Most concerning of all is the apparent lack of safety awareness. The careless attitudes, tone, and behavior displayed by the staff are deeply troubling in an environment where firearm safety should be the absolute highest priority. Overall, the condition, atmosphere, and operational standards of this shooting range are far below acceptable standards. I am extremely disappointed with the experience and would not recommend this facility to anyone who values professionalism, safety, and respect.
