What impressed me most was that I never felt pressured or rushed. Mike took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, explain my options, and give me sound, knowledgeable advice. He never made me feel uncomfortable about any of the decisions I was considering or about changing my mind along the way. Instead, he gave me the space and information I needed to make the decision that was right for me. Mike also went above and beyond by doing a considerable amount of research on my behalf, without ever making me feel that his help was dependent upon me purchasing anything or using his services. That level of integrity is rare and meant a great deal to me. These are incredibly delicate and personal decisions, and having someone who approaches them with genuine care rather than pressure makes all the difference. The cemetery was designed as an inclusive, non-denominational resting place, reflecting Gotha's origins as a community settled by German freethinkers who valued independence and intellectual openness. Nearly a century later, Woodlawn continues to serve the community through traditions such as Easter sunrise services and programs like the Homeless Veterans Burial Program. In 1976, Woodlawn became the first cemetery in Florida to establish an on site funeral home. Over the decades, it has grown into a majestic memorial park and one of the most beautiful cemeteries I have ever visited. The landscaped, park like grounds feature gardens, fountains, a peaceful lake, and striking works of memorial art. One of the cemetery's most impressive features is its mausoleum, adorned with a breathtaking Life of Christ mosaic made from 11 million pieces of glass crafted in Italy. Woodlawn is also home to a full-size replica of the Liberty Bell, commissioned from France's Paccard Bell Foundry in 1972 in preparation for the nation's Bicentennial. It is one of only four Liberty Bell replicas in Florida. In 2008, the cemetery expanded with the opening of Arbor Estates, which offers a more natural setting with waterfalls and streams for both traditional and cremation burials. Woodlawn may be most famous for being the final resting place of PBS painter Bob Ross, who died on July 4, 1995. Several other notable figures buried here include Dave "Lonesome Dave" Peverett, lead singer and founding member of the rock band Foghat; Major League Baseball pitcher Tim Crews; All-Star pitcher Mike Cuellar; and T. She was due to be picked up on a Friday. Unfortunately, not only did that never happen, but the transplant team and myself could not get anyone to get back to us for an update. We called again on Monday and they picked her up from Advent Health that day. They have had her for over a week now and messages and emails have been sent for an update and again, all have gone unanswered. Although their website reads open 24/7, I have been patient during weekends and holidays. We are no longer either and I continue to call and leave messages and send emails. A simple call or email with an update is all our family needs at this difficult time. It is disgusting that this facility cannot provide either.
