Reposting due to being removed multiple times, don't hide this review, cowards. Really disappointed. I am writing this review as my grandmother sits against the crematorium waiting for us to be let in. The funeral home didn't plan accordingly and there is another grieving family still clearing out. All of this after days of an unresponsive team that really seemed like they couldn't care less about my family or our grandfather's death. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE: it's been over a year since my grandfather passed. I still think about him often. I've been asked to remove this review but I feel like I can't. I hope the funeral home has done what it needs to adjust and become better at the business they are in. I do believe and hope they may have. I believe my grandmother wanted this place as it was the the only Catholic funeral home in the Orlando area. You know us Catholics. So because of this, I do hope they've become better at dealing with grieving families while also improving the experience of saying goodbye as much as they can. DON'T USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! My father passed away in the middle of January 2022. It took this company three weeks to have the ashes ready for us to pick up. 3 wks!! On the initial meeting they wanted to charge us $350 for me to see him for 3mins! You see, I was rushing from Jacksonville to Orlando to say 1 last goodbye. The funeral home took him from the house before I could see him. We didn't know that the handlers from the funeral home have an obligation to wait for family members in route. They took advantage of my 86yr mom and brother. My dad wanted to be cremated; All the urns and paraphernalia was exorbitant in the prices. Example; Cardboard Cylinder urn started at $299 and higher for other types of urns. So my brother bought an urn from Amazon; he told the company he has an urn for our dad's ashes. They wanted to charge my brother $150 to put his ashes in the urn! At that point our dad wasn't even cremated yet! Talk about price gouging in a time of extreme duress and mourning the loss of a 97 yr. father!!!! read more

I visited with Todd DeGusipe today. What a classy place. This has to be the most elegant funeral home I have ever see. Everyone I encountered was very kind, courteous and polite. Consider them when you need the services of a funeral home. They are the only Catholic owned and operated funeral home in the area. read more

I had a very traumatic and emotionally draining experience with DeGusipe Funeral Homes representative. I had originally gone in on Sunday 9/29/2019 to discuss arrangements for my husband but then decided not use their services. When I did make a choice of funeral homes and authorized them to pick up my husbands body I found out that Todd had picked my husbands body up already without my knowledge or authorization. Then to add insult upon injury the funeral representative attempted to charge the funeral home I did choose $ 250.00 to pick my husband up from the Maitland branch. That is kidnapping and extortion. Once I was informed of what funeral representative from DeGusipe had done I called him. He actually attempted to tell and convince me that I had authorized him to pick my husband up which I most certainly did not. So I actually had to threaten to call the police and a lawyer for him to allow Dobbs Funeral home to pick my husband up from his establishment. A few minutes later representative called me back and stated that he had not done anything wrong and wanted to know how he could make things right. I simply stated "you absolutely did do something wrong" and hung up he then called me two more times on the latter call he said "I didn't call to fight with you, I just wanted to express my condolences and tell you that in your time of grief I feel sorry for you, and I am waiving all charges". I know he did not feel sorry but had just realized that I was aware of what he was doing was illegal and he attempted to pacify me. I am putting 1 star because site is making me. I wouldn't even give them half a star......!!!!! read more

The funeral service was well done but don't use their florist they sent dead and ugly flowers and they ignore complaints.
