Kathy is a treasure! I had heard she knows what cut works best for you, so I gave her free rein. I haven't had this perfect a haircut in years!! And trust me, I've been looking. Can't get the right cut even when I show them a photo! Didn't have to do that with Kathy. I just said, "Do what you think is best. If I don't like it, I won't be upset because my hair grows very fast." I could not have been more pleased with what she did. I live 1.5 hours from Jensen Beach, which is where some of my family live and they also go to Kathy. So my new hair stylist fits right in with family visits. read more

Lopsided haircut. Hatchet job. Zero stars. I asked for a refund of this $70 cut and was refused. This is after I went back once to get a correction. Uneven layers, uneven texture, chunks of hair missing, no blending whatsoever, choppy split ends. Furthermore, due to the last-minute haphazard use of thinning scissors on me (it seems the stylist was running late and didn't have time to properly finish the bad cut she started), I have a different volume of hair on one side of my head than the other. It took FOUR more cuts (at my expense) with two more stylists to attempt to fix this disaster. Why was I given a forward graduated roll cut -- Why? This ugly cut? I didn't ask for this! Why?! Why?? Stylist didn't even have the skills to do this cut properly so it's a double whammy of disaster! I don't know how she let me leave the salon twice without noticing the back of my head was missing a big chunk of hair---or hoping that I wouldn't notice. Sabina, the salon manager(?) of this "high-end" salon.... Not once did she even fake an apology or show concern to have an unhappy customer. She said she cannot refund me because "the service has already been PERFORMED" (her emphasis). Wanted me to come in again (a third time) to have "another good stylist" work on it. I offered to send pics and even a video, but no. Come back to the scene of the crime a third time and let us destroy your hair some more. Had she refunded me the $70 for the cut (btw I also tipped the stylist $14 and shampoo $5), I would not be posting this review. Instead, I posted these pics on local social media groups and told everyone I know. Saying something like "I am so sorry you are not happy with the haircut we gave you" is pretty basic customer service. I hope this stylist and salon realize how much time, $$$$$$, and distress they have caused me. Another thing. Upon arrival for my original appointment, Deidra Marcus herself was at the front desk and "greeted" me. She behaved like it was a hassle to be sitting at the reception desk of the salon that bears her name. Such a negative vibe, I almost walked out then and there. I should have. read more

I should preface this review by saying that I do work in a luxury salon in Winter Park, Orlando. I don't typically go anywhere else to have my hair done but I figured a wash and blow out isn't something that can really be "messed up", and I was in town for the weekend visiting my parents after a really rough week. To start, the shampoo itself was very very lacking. I let the stylist know that I had four rows of beaded weft extensions before we even started, and she didn't scrub my scalp at all, aside from the very top of my head. When I realized she had already rinsed it out and was applying conditioner, I tried to tell her that she could really get in there and actually scrub the scalp because it really needed it, and she agreed but then just rinsed the conditioner and wrapped me in a towel. The whole experience only lasted a couple minutes at most, and my scalp still feels oily and dirty now. I don't feel clean at all. I was upset but I had already tried to say something and she hadn't made an effort to go back in, and I'm not a pushy person, so I just hoped the blow dry would at least be better. She sectioned it out into four quadrants to blow dry, not the sectioning I would have used for the type of extensions I have, but every stylist has their method, so I waited it out. By the time she finished, the roots of my extensions still felt damp, and so did the hair at the very top of my head. It was looking fuzzy and not like it had been "blown out", but rather rough dried. I asked if she could flat iron it as well, and was really disappointed when she didn't even section my hair out to do so. She merely clamped a few pieces of hair up top haphazardly and then ran the flat iron through a few big chunks in the back. 90% of the hair wasn't even hit with the flat iron. I have straight cut bangs and I had to ask her twice to style them forward because she didn't even blow dry them down properly into place and had begun brushing them to the sides, as if attempting to middle part them, which didn't look right at all. At the end of it all, I was charged $85 for a "blow out" and flat iron but left with a dirty scalp, damp roots, and a lot of fuzzy puffiness all around my face from her not flat ironing the hair there at all. Very disappointed at this experience. The stylist herself was sweet enough, but it really didn't seem like she really knew what she was doing. read more

I went there for a mini pedi. Taylor did an awesome job and I was very happy. However, when I went to check out, I found out that I could not tip her using my debit card. I had no cash and told the young lady at the counter, hoping she would run it again with tip. She said that she was not allowed to and that the manager had just left. It seems to me, that a salon like this would want you to tip their employees. I liked my service, but am not happy about the inconvenience of not being able to tip Taylor. I've been going to Deidra Marcus Salon for my manicures and pedicures for awhile now and they do a wonderful job! Donna always does a beautiful job! Afterwards, the polish lasts for weeks before I have to go back. Also, had my hair done and was very pleased with the new look I got, which helped keep my hair healthy as well. The whole experience was great and can't say enough about the staff who are very friendly and polite, which shows in how they run the place. Well. I relocated to the Florida treasure coast... I went to this salon getting my hair done, with a trim and a light balayage. First on the phone they couldn't give me an approximate price range. I had to come in, in person. So that's the first downfall. Once here, the hair stylist was sweet and seems to be experienced in what she's doing. Although the price of $400 is very "HIGH-END" and coming from boca Raton and Miami, where everything is luxury i never pay that much even In boca Raton or Miami. The result ended good but not WOW. Instead of being blonder now I'm darker hair.... I am truly disappointed and it makes me wanna to swallow the 1h30 drive and time to my 6 year relationship haircut stylist I had. I stopped the "stylist" (and I use that description dubiously) in the middle of the haircut because it was clear she had no idea how to "style" hair. Finally got her to at least get what was left even and just left. Last time I was in was over two years ago and I saw Matthew. He is sadly no longer there. I should have realized when I saw the clients that were being finished up I wasn't going to look any better than they did and made an excuse and left right then. I booked a couples massage for my girlfriend as that is what she wanted for Christmas. I called 4 times to make sure everything was set up correctly. We showed up at our scheduled time and were asked to wait for 30 minutes after arriving. We were put into separate rooms for the facial and massage (which is not what I was told on the phone). Just don't bother. Pricing is normal, but I wasn't aware I was paying to be belittled the entire time. I struggle with a psoriasis on my scalp. It's never been super noticeable to the public as I do my best to keep it as in control as possible. However of course anyone doing my hair will notice. The stylist went on and on about it. Even calling more ppl to come look at it. I've never been so mortified in my entire life. Embarrassed doesn't even cover it honestly. I went in for a haircut today and just asked for a TRIM. I had just gotten my hair to a length I loved (right below my chest) and did not have intentions on going short again. I clearly showed my stylist the length I was comfortable with her cutting off. She started cutting with my head put down to get an even line, ok I've had this done before. When she asks me to put my head up all I see is 5-6 inch pieces of hair on the floor. My hair is now shoulder length and I couldn't be more infuriated because it had just taken me a YEAR to grow it out from the exact length it's back to. Will never come here again. read more

I did get my hair blown out there a few times while I was pregnant and they did a good job with that. I was in need of a little pampering due to the weird times right now, and that's exactly what I got here! I went for a wash, treatment, and style, and it was so luxurious. The lovely lady who washed my hair and applied the treatment was so sweet! Plus she did an amazing job giving an amazing, relaxing hair wash that felt oh so good. I rated the salon only ONE STAR because of: 1) what transpired during the massage and 2) the lack of concern by the new owners! The new owners of the salon NEGLECTED to call me, although the receptionist assured me that they would soon call! The massage was a disaster: the room was very cold, the massage bed was not heated, I complained that I felt very cold but nothing was done about that! Furthermore, there was no bolster for my knees and thus I left the salon with a very sore left knee! The massage therapist acted surprised that I requested support for my knees (so as to alleviate the pressure on my knees!) and she also NEVER asked what type of massage pressure I preferred, etc., etc. Unfortunately, the experience was a total DISASTER! Therefore, I was forced to get up and leave early due to the intolerable cold, the pain in my knees, (especially the left knee!), and the overall lack of caring and incompetence! When I went up to the front desk, the receptionist took my name and cell number and promised that the new owners (Roland and his wife!) would soon call me! Went here on vacation to treat myself to a spa day! It started out pretty good - I had a massage and a facial then was asked to wait for the mani pedi part ?! I waited nearly a half hour. When I entered the nail part of the salon I explained that I wanted gel polish and the tech explained that they would add on the extra cost to the package! I agreed ! When everything was complete the receptionist had no idea how to ring up the package so as not the get in trouble she called Alan and explained what I had done and that I was here on vacation and he told her to charge me separately for my services ! (Not just the upcharge for the gel polish) it cost a little more but honestly I felt like it was taken advantage of because I was a tourist?! Sad - if I ever do come back to this area I won't be going back to this salon !! Had a pedicure. Beautiful place but screams "unprofessional with no customer service". Employees all dressed in black tees or tanks with blue jeans - blah! too casual and jeans were scraggly. Attendant arrived 10 minutes later than scheduled appointment. Brought family with her and they hung around talking and eating. Hair stylists seemed too relaxed. One took 45 minutes to do her own hair out where everyone could watch her - never cleaned, made customer wait 5 minutes. When trying to pay, receptionist and a stylist made me wait while they had a personal conversation at the reception desk. No apology about the wait and no stopping the personal conversation in front of me. I am from another state and have moved here permanently. Looking for a full service spa. Sorry this is not the one. Maybe an absentee owner on my day relaxed the atmosphere, but the customers come every day. Better customer service means more $$$ for all. read more
