I absolutely love coming here! The martinis are very good. They have a long menu so everyone will find something they like! My favorite martini is the white chocolate raspberry. The martinis range from $11 to $12.50. On nights where there is a show was the PAC it will be sooo busy. So if you want to come in for the first time, check shows to make sure there is not a show that night. ***However, the Money Bar upstairs is terrible. I have gone there once. The group I was with all ordered different drinks. I got the Pina Colada, it was awful. It tasted like straight rum with no flavor, no coconut, no pineapple. The strawberry daiquiri tasted like a slushy. When we went to go talk to the bartender she said "Well that is the recipe". We all felt like we were on a prank tv show. The vibe is always great for ending date night here, any day of the week. The bartenders are friendly and helpful with recommendations and modifying a drink to fit what I'm in the mood for. Keep in mind the place is popular so when it's super busy, there can be kind of a long wait for drinks. The bartenders are amazing and can only do so much at one time when every drink they make has multiple ingredients and is shaken by hand. We love this place every visit! read more

The inside is always clean, including the bathrooms. The layout is awesome, so many different places to cozy up to have a conversation. They had an amazing blues band playing while we were here last time so it was super loud but a great time nonetheless. Service: They are always slammed here whenever I come so it takes a while to get a drink but they make mean mean martini's and that is all I care about. Drinks: Delicious and the selection is massive, no way you couldn't find something on this menu you would like. P.S. This is a fantastic bar. I came a little before 7PM on a Wednesday which is Funk night. The bartender was quick to let me know that it was still happy hour and I could save some coin if I ordered before 7. I ordered my first martini after reviewing the huge selection they have. Soooo many different martini's to choose from. I selected the Model T for my first one and it was delicious. After 7PM, on Wednesdays they will double stamp your loyalty card. I don't remember the name of the second martini I got but it was also delicious. The staff is fantastic. I was the only one in the bar until a little after 7 and the bartender made small talk. After the bar started got a little more filled I was still checked on regularly. I will definitely start coming here more often. I really want to check out the live band karaoke on Tuesday nights. If you want a great place for martinis this is hands down the best place in the Fox Cities for them. You will not be disappointed. read more

Stopped in here before dinner and had the watermelon and strawberry martini. The decor in here is like stepping into a speakeasy from yesteryear. It has an amazing lounge atmosphere that most places dont have. They also have a monkey bar upstairs that features tiki drinks, daiquiris and beachy drinks that typically opens at 8pm. Déjà vu is a cool, hip martini bar downtown Appleton.  I'm a beer guy but will still indulge myself with a martini or two.  They have a long menu of martinis and cocktails, which can be intimidating but I still tend to find something that I like. There are two bar areas which is good if there's a crowd. Even then, their bartenders are pretty quick when it comes to making drinks.  The hard part is getting their attention. There's plenty of seating throughout the bar. I like sitting in the back-room bar as it's more of low-lit lounge area.   Lately I've been going here not for the drinks, but for the music.  They do a great job of putting on live music. Not just during Mile of Music, throughout the whole year.  Plenty of cover and original local acts and it sounds good in there. Only downside is the space of the whole bar is not ideal for watching music.  If you want to stand in front to watch the band, you can expect to have two rows of people and be ready people walking past you as your in between the two bars.  You're better off plopping a seat by the main bar and hope you can see the band from there. I would like to give it 5 stars, but with the watching music difficulty and $9 martinis, it's a solid 4 for me. read more

The old bar bartender with tattoo's (may possibly be the owner.) He is horrible, disrespectful as one can be and does not know how to run a business. I don't know if this old timer is really grinding his gears to think but this boy does not know the difference between a real ID and a fake ID gave him my temporary ID because I was waiting my physical ID to come in the mail he looked at my ID for seconds and said "no I can't accept this" I proceeded to ask why and after he ignored me for a bit he replied in a loud and disrespectful tone in front of a full bar mind you. "get out of my bar and get a real ID" I have never been more disrespected and publicly shamed than here. As I proceeded to walk out calmly I looked at him and said here you go and handed him the punch card that I was given the first time I was there which heres the funny part. He was there the first time as well and said it was good. I will never go near this bar again and I suggest you don't either if you are a person of color he clearly has something against us. And even if that's not the case and just had a bad day that should never and I repeat never be a way to treat the hand that feeds you. Downtown Appleton's martini lounge is large and has two bars! As well as a few small rooms tucked off for more of an intimate setting. Live music frequently on a small stage in the middle so you can see it from both bars. The martinis are moderately priced around $9-$12. I never have received one I didn't like! This is one of my favorite places on the Ave. Deja Vu has the best Martini's I've ever had. The menu is a bit long but it makes it possible for everyone to find something they like. Some of my favorites are the Americano, espresso martini and the mochatini. Every bartender makes the same quality martini which is really hard to find at bars. The location is a very cozy. It is dimly lit which makes for a romantic vibe. The back bar is my favorite place to sit, especially in the private rooms. Live music here can get pretty loud so the private rooms make it possible to talk to the people you're with. Recently, we tried their homemade pizza and it was phenomenal! I have been here a few times and appreciate the dim, lounge environment. There is a large martini selection so that held a lot of promise. The first time I went, we took a seat at the bar. The bartender was attentive, and talked a good game when it came to his martini-mixing abilities. His heart was in the right place, but when I tasted my grey goose martini, there was enough vodka in it to grow hair on me chest! The second time I came with my cousins and sat at a table, except this time the bar was crazy crowded and it took forever to get a drink. I'm a newbie to the area for work, so I decided to take in some of the local sites while I am here during the week. As I love martinis, I had to give this place a go. Walking distance, in- heels, from the hotel - check. Sultry ambience - check. Knowledgeable staff - check. It looks like a jazz bar from the 1930's which was on purpose. It's nice and dark without feeling seedy. I had something that I normally clear of which would be the dessert drink. It was really good and the service was prompt. Terrible bartender. Asked for ID of course I give him my ID. I'm using my tribal ID as I did not see a difference in using a driver's license when it is just as valid for me to cross a border in with, do taxes for jobs with, buy alcohol at any store with etc. I felt unwanted as soon as he requested "a real ID". Absolutely felt discriminated for trying to use my Tribal STATE ID. I don't recommend any of my friends this place. And I will tell people about this experience.
