You can see some pretty greenery in the spring and summer. There's a little stream and a walking bridge that you can go over. There's a dog park for small dogs and big dogs. Sometimes I notice people in the small dog park with large dogs, so we are not able to go in. Little annoying. Most of the people do not pick up their dog's poop along the trail. Good to go for a nice summer day for outdoor activities.

So far people are nice and it's not too crowded. There are agility toys to play on and lots of space to run. There is a small side for the littles and bug side for the large babies. No kids under 10.

After they…read moreran around we went to get the dogs some water and neither of the water fountains in the dog parks work. No water is running. I went to the bathrooms they were locked. The water fountain at the restrooms was also turned off. So me being a nature girl and wanting my dogs to not die of heat exhaustion. I found some empty bottles in the trash and climbed down the creek to fill them up with water. If you are going to keep this park open for dogs keep the water on. It has not been anywhere close to freezing in the last week so there is no excuse. Besides my need for a hike they enjoyed the agility course. This is the closest park to my house and I'm very upset about my visit.

It was very nice walking the path in the morning. There were a couple other people up early as well. The path was fairly clean, although we did pass an area where someone threw at least 4 used diapers on the ground instead of walking 40 feet to the trash can. There is not any shade at this walking/ biking path, so bring some sunblock, wear sunglasses, and wear a hat. There are lots of birds and animals to see. We saw some sort of mongoose looking animal that was super cute to watch. He has brown fur and was long and skinny. He was jumping from rock to rock at the lighthouse area. There's a lot of restaurants near the parking area we were at.

There were several unlabeled smaller trails that bring you to the waters edge and to some cute tree abodes. Not a lot of wildlife this time of year but I am excited to see it in a different season of life. There are benches in the parking lot positioned perfectly to witness an Oklahoma sunset. That being said, I am taking off a star because I'm pretty sure we witness a human being pooping just off of the main path on our way back to the car...

It hasn't rained for a week, so there was nothing flooded to the point of being sloppy or impassable. - Good shade canopy for most of the trail. Some of it hangs down low, which is mildly annoying. There is also some tall grass and plant life growing along the trail that you will have to dodge. - Nice shaded bench area which is perfect for a post-run cool down.

I mean, who wouldn't want to go fast without having to zig-zag in between runners, families or other bikes? The trail is well paved with the occasional slight gravel, which is totally avoidable. The path is somewhat like a large 13 mile oval shape, without any street crossings or stop signs. This would be a perfect spot to train for races. I would not recommend bringing your families on the trail just because road bikers are going fairly fast. Wouldn't want a little one stumbling in front of a bike going 20-30 miles a hour. For the sake of runners, the unseen corners are well marked with caution signs and there are two lanes to avoid collision. Overall it's a beautiful spot, there are geese and some other water fowl and the sun hits the river perfectly. There's a moment where you are riding beside a view of the city as well as the beautiful trail. This is probably the least congested biking trail I've been to in Oklahoma City. I would recommend starting at/ parking at Devon Boathouse at Regatta Park. There's also additional parking across the street. I could see this place being a good spot for group bikers as well, it's not far from Bricktown if you want to ride into the city a little bit to grab a bite to eat.

The paved walking paths twist and turn through the woods, making it feel like you're out on a little adventure, even though you're right in the heart of Edmond. What really stood out was how much there is for families. I watched kids racing from one playground to the next, each one built with different age groups in mind. There's even soft turf under the toddler areas--nice touch. Parents lounged at shaded benches while little ones climbed and slid their hearts out.
