My daughter goes here and she loves it. They keep the kids separated according to age and there's a pretty decent teacher to student ratio

The director Ms.Cathy is the sweetest person as well.. If I have any issues with anything, she always makes sure things are taken care of. They have great hours with 6pm closing time vs most schools/daycare close at 5pm. They work with whatever schedule u need as well whether it's full time, part time, half days, and even 1 day a week if u really need to... The location is great because they're right off the 22fwy as well. They have "pizza Friday" and my daughter enjoys that too. My daughter loves it and made lots of friends. They also help with potty training as well so that's a plus! I could go on with how good this place is but you'd have to go experience it yourself..

Rosie honestly stepping in as a director should have been done a lot sooner. Thank you for your assistance and your advise trust me I am taking everything you have told me into consideration for the best benefit to my son. Overall, our experience here was not what we expected it to be. From Perla to the teachers. The only teacher here that I am very grateful my son got to be around with was Ms. Karol and she is no longer there. My 2-year old was on an intervention plan because of his behavior. I am not justifying my son's behavior but we are currently working on figuring out what is best for him. This school was not meant for him. If you work with kids please be sure of it because it is not an easy field to be in. On my son's last day, I had to pull him out because it was the second call due to his behavior meaning suspension which can lead to us getting kicked out of the company. I picked him up around 11:45 am and coming home to him having blisters all over his body. We schedule an appt with his doctor coming to find out he had the Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease. We quarantine for 2 weeks. So my child's irritability could have solely been the discomfort of this. However, seemed like no teacher at the time showed proper care and use the intervention plan to just send him home. As a parent, I am truly unsatisfied but happy my son is out of here. Maybe my child has needs, that we are currently searching for resources, no one here is credible to diagnose him. Or maybe, he did not want to be here anymore as he began to cry the last few days he attended this center.

Threatened with Disenrollment for Asking a Simple Question…read more I rarely write public reviews, but my recent experience with Little Scholars Academy and staff member Shehara Devendra left me shocked and disappointed. The issue began with something simple: I dropped off extra clothes for my child and was told they would be labeled by the school. Later, when I picked them up, none had been labeled as promised. I politely messaged the school, explained the situation, and respectfully requested that only the unlabeled items be returned so I could label them myself. What I received in response was not acknowledgment or accountability, but vague reassurances and generic replies that completely ignored the specific concern I had raised. Instead of acknowledging the oversight, I was told to "trust the process" -- as if my concern was rooted in distrust, when in reality I had simply asked for follow-through and clarity. I remained calm and polite in every message, even thanking them multiple times. At no point did I use disrespectful or inappropriate language. Despite this, I was later told by the Director that my child's enrollment could be discontinued if I was ever "disrespectful" again. After receiving that email from the Director, my family felt humiliated, anxious, and unsure of what to do next. After much hesitation, we decided to email the school to withdraw our child from enrollment. The school replied, asking us which date we wanted our child's last day to be. Because we were unfamiliar with their withdrawal process, we politely asked for more detailed guidance -- specifically, what the procedure would be and what date would work for the school. Instead of receiving any instructions, the school simply stopped responding. Then, one morning at drop-off, I was confronted at the door by staff member Shehara. She blocked the entrance and demanded that I give her a specific last day for my child's attendance. This was done while my child was crying in fear and distress, and while other parents were lined up behind us trying to drop off their children. I asked her repeatedly if my child was allowed to attend class that day, but she replied that she "didn't know" and insisted I give her a date immediately. In the end, I had to almost ask for permission for my child to enter class, promising I would confirm the withdrawal date later that day. Only then did she allow my child to go inside. This was not the only example of pressured compliance. Shehara insisted we purchase the school's preferred diaper brand, even though we already had a large supply of another suitable brand, making us feel that noncompliance might result in mistreatment of our child. The Director, who has never been present during our drop-offs or pick-ups, nonetheless defended her staff without ever having witnessed these incidents. Rather than working with us as partners in our child's care, they created an environment where asking a simple question was treated as a disciplinary problem. As a parent, I believe in collaborating with teachers and staff, and in standing up when communication breaks down and basic respect is lacking. I expected better from a school entrusted with my child's care. It's disappointing that a parent raising a simple concern -- calmly and constructively -- could be treated as a disciplinary problem, then later confronted publicly at the school door, instead of being treated as a partner in their child's education. I share this experience in the hope it brings attention to the importance of accountability, empathy, and clear communication in childcare. Parents should be able to ask questions and express concerns without being threatened with disenrollment, ignored when seeking guidance, or put in uncomfortable and public confrontations during drop-off. I strongly urge parents to consider these experiences before enrolling at Little Scholars Academy. Your family deserves a school that values transparency, respect, and true partnership with parents.

It really feels like a warm, loving environment where everyone knows your child and genuinely enjoys what they do. We're so happy we made the switch and couldn't recommend Kiddie Academy of Santa Ana more!

This review is based upon my experience in the infant room at Kiddie Academy of Santa Ana. This…read morefacility is dangerous. The teachers do not pay attention to the infants, instead they spend hours on their phones while toddlers comingle with infants whom cannot crawl nor walk. They do not follow California laws or protocols. They do not report injuries to parents. The administrative staff cover up the illegal actions of the teachers instead of correcting them. The owners Joseph and Sonia Haikal do not properly oversee their seven Orange County facilities. After witnessing children step on my daughter, the common response from the staff was "children get hurt". In what world is it acceptable for teachers to neglect a four month old infant to the point where my family had to spend more time overseeing the staff than working? We submitted hours of video to California Licensing due to the lack of response from management and not a single response from Mr. Joseph Haikal, the owner. The facility kept my daughter in a Baby Merlin sleepsuit for hours a day. My daughter was behind on development because rather than interact with the infants, the staff kept them immobile so they wouldn't have to focus on anything but their cell phones. My daughter along with several other children were left to sleep on the floor for hours because the staff were too lazy to transfer them to a crib, also breaking state licensing laws. I tried to send the owner of a video of a toddler dragging an infant (non- mobile) by their hair like a caveman without any teacher realizing it, in fact two were on their phones in the video. I tried to let them know that there were four infants in a room without a teacher at one point, crickets. The only person that shed real light on the situation was Sonia Haikal, after I transferred my daughter to their Huntington Beach location (another review to follow). Her statement was "I can't fire teachers unless they do something really heinous", she obviously doesn't believe that child endangerment is a concern. I had to pull my daughter from this school after a month and a half. I have approximately 40 hours of recorded video showing the staff not washing hands, chewing fingernails and wiping saliva on infants, leaving infants to sleep on the floor, and basically not changing diapers more than two to three times in an eight hour day. Here are some California Licensing Reports to read before you consider this location: https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/transparencyapi/api/FacilityReports?facNum=304371225&inx=4 https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/transparencyapi/api/FacilityReports?facNum=304371225&inx=5 https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/transparencyapi/api/FacilityReports?facNum=304371225&inx=6 Bottom line, Joseph and Sonia Haikal do not care about your infant, they care about the financial bottom line.
