Our stay at 278 Commercial street was for the most part very positive. The home is smack dab in the center of Provincetown and had a huge balcony that overlooked the Main Street, great for people watching. The home was cozy and clean for the most part aside from some left over stains from previous guests, and many old light switches that had no perceived function. On the positive side it had a full kitchen with lots of supplies and a coffee maker which is rare. You could see there used to be a washer dryer in what is now an empty supply closet, and that would have been a great perk to have especially with beach covered clothes at the end of the day. The major downside of our stay involved parking... Provincetown has no street parking except for residents and businesses, although there is a parking lot directly behind the unit, but the only options were paying $40 at the public lot, for overnight parking across the street or driving around to find better overnight options. Financially we had an over $600 stay and then had to pay another $200 on top of that just to park every day. That's ridiculous! You would think this would be a simple fix of paying a small fee for a residential pass through the booking, or having it included in your stay, as technically you are a resident for the time you stay at the residence. But when I called to inquire as to options the staff at Del Mar either threw me off with promises that they would have their supervisors check on it, or in one case a guy basically started an argument with me about it and then told me he would offer me a refund for parking but the office was closed, and never returned the call. Then it was radio silence from a normally over-communicative business until it was close to check-out time, and no one ever followed up from Del Mar about it. The only other drawback is there is little flexibility with check-in, check out. So be prepared to leave by 10am, standard should be 12:00. all in all though I would consider staying here again if they could fix some of these issues. read more

We stayed here with our 8 year old and had the best time! We used to stay for years at a beach cottage down the road, but they sold and don't rent anymore. We love Brewster and the beaches so we were delighted to find this cottage so close by. The public beach is so close and was never busy. We had plenty of room and my son loved swimming in high tide and exploring all the wildlife during low tide. The location is the best. The house was great for our needs. It is cozy and comfortable. We had a partial ocean view from the front porch and a great sea breeze. The backyard is very private and a nice spot to eat a meal at the table. We had a couple of friends stop in and the spiral stairs were a big hit. Everything was very clean. The washer smelled moldy, but that is always the case in every rental I have ever used so I just don't use them. If the doors or cover were left open after use it would not be so bad. Weirdly the hot and cold water was backwards in the small bathroom so I let management know so they can take a look. The twin beds in the first bedroom off the kitchen are very squeaky, but comfortable enough. We didn't use the front bedroom for anything more than clothes storage. The living room was a good place to land after changing into dry clothes after being at the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. We ate out most of the time, but it was nice to be able to do small meal prep with pots and pans etc. The bathrooms look newly renovated. The one off the kitchen is small, but somehow still fit a full tub and shower. The outdoor shower was so great especially to quickly clear off sand after coming back from the beach which was frequent for us. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and easy beach vacation. read more

Beautiful home. Impeccably clean, comfy beds and couches, well stocked kitchen with all the things you need to prepare a meal at home if needed. Had family with us from Oklahoma and it was perfect to sit at the large dinning table for dinner and then relax and visit together at the end of the day. Much better value for the cost when compared to what you get at a hotel of the same price. Would definitely return here if we visit the Cape again. Easy check in and out. The General Store, which is walking distance on Rte 6 is charming and practically a museum as well as a store. Steep stairs to second floor like in many typical cape homes but has sturdy railing. We didn't use the outside property as visited after Columbus day and was cool, but it looked great. Fire pit was all set up with wood to light. Nice outdoor seating and private yard. Dog friendly but NO smell of dog or evidence once had been there before us, inside and outside. Our dog was quite happy there. Aside - no idea what Peter J. is talking about with his one star review - this is not that property - no pool here, never was. Key pad worked the first time and every time after that. Received many messages to keep us informed before check in and during the stay. We were even able to check in several hours early. read more

Excellent, clean, great location. The house had every amenity you could possibly think of and beyond . The hot tub was quite nice after a long day of walking. The only thing I feel I should mention for everyone's safety; is that there was an outdoor propane fireplace - and when turned on , it was clear to me that the gas connections were not secure by the flames shooting out from behind the door where the propane tank is stored. The connection hoses are industrial grade rubber - which left unchecked by someone who has no common sense - would have melted within an hour and with the gas then free flowing out of the tank...... would have resulted in catastrophe. I notified Del Mar, they sent someone over and it was supposed to fixed by presumably someone who knew how to properly secure both ends of the connection - and then I always spray windex diluted with a bit of water so that there are suds and if the bubbles blow - then the fireplace shall not glow ;-). It wasn't fixed - I told them not to send anyone else during my stay. I would have fixed it myself, the liability was to great. But apart firm that - Everything was perfect. read more

This was, without a doubt, the worst Airbnb experience I've ever had. I booked this property specifically for the pool, paying an additional $1,000 for that feature. Yet, when I arrived, I was told the pool wasn't available--no prior warning, no notification, nothing. This is false advertising, plain and simple, and it's unacceptable. On top of that, I couldn't even get into the house. The keypad didn't work, the keys didn't work. I was locked out after a long journey. When I finally got in, there was no Wi-Fi code provided, so I had to call the company again. The house itself is old and run-down--completely misrepresented in the listing. Worst of all is the appalling service. The company is completely unprofessional. Their communication is non-existent unless you repeatedly chase them. I had to call several times just to get basic issues addressed, and the staff gave nothing but vague, dismissive responses. They didn't care, and they didn't help. Do not trust this company. They advertise falsely, they don't deliver, and they offer zero customer service. Stay far away from this listing and this host. A total nightmare and a waste of money. read more

Traveling with six adults and four children ages 5 months, 2 year old, 4 year old and a 7 year old is not the easiest as any parent and grandparent knows. This house made it "relatively" easy . Many doors to rooms so we could corral the younguns which was extremely helpful! All the bedrooms were great and we (the grandparents) appreciated the first floor bedroom!! The location of the house is great as it is centrally located between Orleans and Chatham. The s'mores on the outside firepit was especially a delight to our grandchildren. I wish we had used the firepit more often We ate in the majority of the time because of the number of our group and also the bedtime schedule lol. The kitchen and pantry were very well stocked..... one of the best that I have rented and we have rented numerous times. What I really appreciated was the space to put OUR groceries. A lot of homes that you rent just have space on the counter which honestly is ridiculous!! We had a few MINOR issues with the house and DelMar was quick to respond. All in all I would definitely recommend this house especially if you are traveling with a group. read more

Just completed a week here and the home is exactly as pictured....well kept, well furnished, well supplied and well located. Comfortable living space and clean for incoming guests (even the BBQ). Easily accommodates the 8 people it says it can manage. The outdoor, screened in dining area is wonderful. Location is excellent...a short ride to the Town of Wellfleet and its shops/restaurants as well as Marconi and Wellfleet Town Beaches. Only suggestion, for the house is to perhaps put some outdoor furniture, other than the one lounge chair on the nice deck. My only concern with this rental is not the house itself, but Del Mar as the rental agent. It's the second time I've rented from them and they are generally great...communicative, well cared for homes, etc. But, in my opinion, their check in and check out times are too restrictive. While 4PM check in may be acceptable, 9AM check out is just too early. To be fair, both times I requested a later check out at 10AM and it was OK, but I'd prefer not to have the uncertainty. Make it a 10AM check out. That should be enough time to turn over a home. read more

We had a lovely stay in Chatham at the Fox Hill home! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5! The house and yard: large and comfortable, perfect for our group of 6 adults, nicely furnished (we LOVED the enormous u shaped couch in the family room!) beds were comfortable, outdoor shower was wonderful! The kitchen was well stocked with all you need. The Deck and back walkway desperately need attention (thus the 4.5 stars) but it didn't prevent us from enjoying the back yard space. Just wear something on your feet back there to be safe. Minor upgrades to the house would make this place superb- but we felt it was more than adequate for our needs with lovely, fresh, beach house aesthetic. The location- proximity to Jackknife beach was great! Be prepared to drive everywhere though, including nearby Jackknife beach- rt 28 is very busy with little shoulder to walk along. The road the house is on is lovely for walks with incredible views. Just know that you are driving to get anywhere. Overall, this house was very clean, check in and out process was easy and we would definitely rent this place again! read more

We had a wonderful time at the Time Out in Orleans. It was convenient to everything. The family came in from California, Utah and Maryland. The house was clean and perfect for our family get together. The week we were on the Cape the weather was perfect-no need for the use of the room air conditioners at the house. It was as if each family had its own apartment within the house. The deck and backyard were perfect for our needs. Del Mar Vacations was very responsive to all inquiries. The keypad became unresponsive and we called the emergency number and were promptly assisted with getting into the house. The keypad needed new batteries and seemed to become inoperative after the sun and heat built up. The Cape is so special to our family, we always enjoy our visits here which bring up such wonderful memories of vacationing here as young children. I will definitely contact Del Mar Vacations for rental assistance for any future stays. read more

Beautiful, welcoming home, wonderful for families with children. The layout allows for there to be a separate space for those (as in grandparents!) who would like to have a bit of quiet. Neighborhood is wonderful, we took our 2 and 4 year old a short distance down the street to a marshy beach where they could play in the water. Barnstable village is lovely, wonderful restaurants and a market. Many beaches within a relatively short drive. The Del Mar staff was tremendous. The air conditioner unit for the house needed a quick repair (took 24 hours). The management team sent someone right away to install air conditioners in each bedroom as well as the dining room during the day that the air conditioning system was not working. It was extremely easy to get someone on the phone for any questions/concerns. In short, we loved our stay and will be signing up now for next year! read more

I have stayed at 3 Del Mar homes in different towns and have had an amazing experience at each one! Some highlights from my experiences are: - The booking process where I was able to work live with a Guest Services Coordinator to choose an amazing home that worked for my family and our vacation goals was top notch. - The super helpful maintenance technician who came to my rescue made me feel confident that even if I were to encounter an issue that Del Mar would address it in a timely manner. - The homes themselves were well maintained and gave us the Cape experiences we were looking for. One home was on the water and I enjoyed paddle boarding every morning, saw a bald eagle flying overhead while dining al fresco, and enjoyed the hot tub on a stormy off-season afternoon with my girlfriends! I believe that Del Mar is the standard in Cape Cod Vacation homes! read more

I stayed in a home managed by Del Mar this past week, and the home, the residence's cleanliness and the wonderful customer service made the trip restful and complete. The Welcome Team from Del Mar checked in via multiple emails, texts and calls before, during and after check out. The portal for the guests was clear to use and provided insight into attractions in the area and how to manage electronic, heating, and technology in the house! Additionally, the home was clean and well-stocked with necessities for day to day living. Most of the kitchen appliances were in new or like new condition. The Del Mar team and the care taken of the home, made the trip memorable! The cost and services offered, particularly during the fall when the beach travelers in Cape Cod have left the region, were reasonable, and the home was a great location to explore the area! read more

This home is beautiful and provides every amenity you could want. The kitchen had all the tools you could need to make dinner for a group - which we did multiple nights. The playroom was chock full of toys and outdoor toys filled the shed. The grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained. It really is a first class rental. We did have to call for service for internet in the guest house and received prompt action. The internet was the only issue. First it was not clear what was the correct network. I believe the guest instructions stated it was the DelMar Guest network but there is no such network. When we figured out it was the free WiFi starting with the number we could connect but then we all had connectivity issues from time to time. For a first class property, reliable WiFi is expected. read more

This property was amazing beyond our wildest dreams. Seven of us ladies went for our friend's bachelorette party. The property was beautiful. The house was immaculately maintained. They provided any and all supplies that could have possibly been needed for days out to the beach along the lines of towels, blankets, coolers. The spice pantry was super stocked. I did not have to buy any spices and I tend to do a lot of unique cooking so that was very helpful for my budget. The bathrooms and bedrooms are superbly set up with AC units supplied that had clearly had the maintenance done on them. The host was wonderful, easy to contact and supremely attentive to our needs. If I could give them above a five-star rating I absolutely would and hope to get down there and stay with them again as soon as possible. read more

My family had a wonderful weekend. The house in Orleans in Cape Cod was stunning, simply beautiful. The even more spectacular thing about it was that everything worked! The outside hot tub water was hot, the gas grill lit up great and there was burnable firewood that we enjoyed with the fire pit. The kitchen was very well equipped with again, everything in working order. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the indoor shuffleboard table in the game room above the garage. To top it all off, the place was very clean and comfortable. Del Mar was very helpful and accommodating doing what they could to help make our weekend stay very nice. The next time we come to Cape Cod, we would love to stay at this property again and work with Del Mar. read more

Our stay in Provincetown was nothing short of perfection. Every aspect of our accommodations were amazing. The condos location, layout, decor, and amenities made for a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips. We have stayed in many places in PTown, but this was by far our best. Close enough to the shops and restaurants but far enough down the street toward the East End near the art galleries so that it was quieter at night for sleeping. Plus, the condo's incredible view of the ocean and the couple of steps to the beach made it extra special. Wow what a view! We are definitely rebooking this spot for next time. Kudos to the Del Mar staff for being available, helpful, and welcoming! read more

Our family of 8 enjoyed this house by the sea with a great view of the salt marsh and the rising and falling tides. Lt. Island is one of the most unspoiled places we've found. The house was lovely at both ends of the long ranch, with lots of windows to enjoy the nature outdoors. We did have a problem with the water tasting salty, so had to buy bottled water for our drinking and coffee making. Also, our clothing smelled musty when we got home, so had to do lots of laundry, even though we had washed clothing there. We were glad that we had taken our own steamer pot for clams, but other than that, the 2 kitchens were well furnished. Loved the outside decking, chairs, and observation bench and table nearby. read more

We have rented many vacation properties but this one actually is better than the pictures on the website. The place was spotless, spacious and in a beautiful setting. The walk to the beach was through the backyard and down a woodsy path...5 minutes. The linens, sheets, blankets were like new and all bedrooms so comfortable. Our grandkids enjoyed the second and third floor space to play games (great selection of games) and just hang out. The kitchen was well equipped and appliances in perfect working order. The screened porch for eating and enjoying the outdoors was another highlight. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful home. PS: We really appreciated the early check in too! read more

The location is great, tucked away at the end of a lane, walking distance to everything in downtown Wellfleet. However be prepared for mosquitos in the evening, and you have to drive to all the beaches. The house itself is authentic Cape Cod, with tons of charm, probably almost 200 years old, but it is well maintained and the kitchen is functional and nicely furnished. There is also a nice newer addition with a bedroom, shower and washer and dryer, and there is a large free standing screen porch in the back yard. Our party was small, but this house would easily accommodate a large group. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived, and the guest service team was accessible and responsive. read more
