DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I suffer from fibromyalgia and bad arthritis. I had a really bad flare in my neck for several days and needed to get a massage to help loosen my neck muscles. I normally get a massage at my chiropractor, but they were fully booked for days. I found this place nearby by and gave it a try due to the reviews on Google and the price. I should have known better. It's in a run down strip mall area of SB. The first warning was the double bared doors when you enter. It was very creepy. They make you pay before the massage. I paid by card $40 for 30 minutes. 2 guys came in after me and they were trying to push me to the back of the building quickly. They put me in this small back room which smelled weird. I informed the lady that I needed my neck muscles massaged only. She told me to remove my top & bra, but didn't give me anything to cover up with or she didn't walk out while I changed. The massage was okay, but I couldn't relax because it was so creepy in there. I kept waiting for some guy to start moaning in the next room. It had that vibe. She also kept reaching down and snapping my panties. I kept telling her my neck only but she kept doing it. Gross!!! The thing that really upset me was I gave her a $4 tip with cash on the way out. Then the next day my husband told me that they charged my card an additional $6. That place was so creepy that I didn't want to go back to dispute it. I was explaining the type of massage I wanted and explained that I use a portable oxygen machine. The man I spoke with laughed at me and said that his establishment would not give me service. This place feels like a jail cell upon walking in. They have bared doors and aren't friendly upon walking in. I just moved to this city from Sherman oaks ca and was looking for a massage due to muscular pain I was having and the lady who worked on me was brutal. When I told her it hurts she said I should understand because I was a physical and massage therapist and knew better. She actually caused so much damage to my neck and spine that I had to find an acupuncturist and doctor to help me heal afterwards. After the massage she hounded me to leave a larger tip than I was attempting to at first due to the mistreatment. I was going to at least tip for the work due to me understanding how much labor hours into a massage treatment which she didn't even deserve that. However It was very strange when once she flipped me over on my back to do my chest and legs that she decided it was necessary to have the door cracked open where the outside could some how peek in. This place is not in very good condition. What you see in photos is NOT what you're getting. I wish I took photos. Just throwing that out there for starters. I honestly think this place is illegal lol when you walk in, there's a room divider that's kind of see through. When my husband and I sat down, we looked through to see the women that collects money and workers laying down. She came to the front and asked us to pay first which was kind of weird but with this crazy world, we understood why they ask for payment upfront. So we did. Our appointment was at 12:30 and between paying and set up, we started the massage at 12:43. My husband and I had a great experience and honestly had a great massage. The women that massaged us were very nice and did a great job. They massage us up until the very last minute of our massage. Although, if you do go to this place just note that the women taking money is very demanding. Before leaving my husband and I wanted to tip kindly from our hearts so we asked to get the receipt back to write out our tip. (We paid with card) the masseuse lead us to the front and told us to talk to the (demanding) lady although they looked very afraid to even talk to us about the tip. Called in on a random Thursday afternoon to see if they have any openings and they were able to accommodate without any issue!! This review is for MINDY, and WOW she was amazing! I opted for the $40, 60min massage. I asked her to concentrate on my neck and shoulders as hunching over a computer for most of my day had lead me to develop some deep knots. She proceeded to spending a good amount of time of these areas and definitely made sure that they were catered to. She only used "medium" strength but it was enough for me to be on the verge of stopping her due to the pain, but yet, was able to tolerate it (which is exactly what I wanted). After this, she proceeded to a very thorough body massage which included hot stones, scalp, and face (also included all the other areas you usually get with a body massage- legs, thighs, back, etc). Honestly, the massage felt more than an hour, and this is probably the best massage that I've gotten in the states, and for such a good price. Don't come here! I tried this place because of the 4.0 rating and because of back pain. They want you to pay First and they know little to no English. It was my first time there and she didn't explain that I needed to remove my shirt, she just walked out. The price was very reasonable for both of us to have a 90 minute massage. We will definitely be going on soon. The deep tissue massage was excellent and she would work very hard on tight muscles and pain areas. The lady I dealt with kept telling me $45 for full body, I made it clear I only want a foot massage so I thought. She charged my card $45 for a full body massage. We start the massage she places my feet in water not warm or hot water.. the water was luke cold not very relaxing! I brushed it off. When she gets to my feet she grabs these gloves from their massage supplies that were next to another bed and I immediately get grossed out. I think there is no way they are clean and they definitely have been used on someone else already. She begins massaging my feet and the gloves are to big. She goes and gets another pair, one rips and again they are to big. So she snatches them off and just uses her bare hands which is okay with me. I like hard massages and I said hard please she then ask if hard was okay which I said yes. My massage is way to soft and I'm literally frustrated. None of the tension in my feet were relieved because she just wasn't going hard at all. I am very disappointed and definitely don't think I'll be back. This joint was scary. My family has moved about 5 miles from the spot and I frequent massage places here in the Bay Area (where I live). I called earlier to make a "reservation". When I walked in there were a few flies buzzing around and the furniture was a bit warn (like a chair with electrical tape on it to hold the seams together). I told her about my reservation and she looked through her book and said "Oh". She then said "Oh" about five more times. I did not understand what she had communicated to the person on the other line, but after hanging up she said that the other person would be there soon. Again, I REALLY needed a massage. I continued to breathe through the experience this far. THEN... the woman calmly walked over to me, held her hand out and asked me for my credit card so I could pay for the service first. I thought I was dreaming. I looked over my shoulder and glanced at the apparition that must have appeared through the wall, because I wasn't paying for ish. I said, "you must be kidding me". She said, "That's how we do it here. You pay for service first".
