Last minute, I discovered the bathrooms were down so we switched our reservation to here and I'm so glad we did. The tables were wonderfully spread out. The covered area was nice and cool. It was close to the bathrooms which is nice! There is a lot of grass area and two smaller playgrounds near by for the kids. There is also a horse shoe pit, as well as a few smaller bbq pits that are awkwardly spread out. Loads of parking! You can park on the street or in the parking lot. Over all, great place to plan an outdoor event!

First and foremost, what is supposed to be a dog-free park is anything but (butt). There is one (perhaps two) small sign(s) at a less-than-ideal location indicating "No Dogs Allowed." Not surprisingly, neighbors and residents bring their dogs to run, jump and crap in the open field. Unfortunately, this open field is the same place Roseville City teams of all ages congregate to practice soccer and baseball. I'll let your imagination run wild here. Suffice to say, it is not good.

We sat above the field under the tree behind the referees. The grass was very lush and full of bugs. I was amazed at how lush the grass is during this horrible drought. There are also softball diamonds. They have 2 restrooms. They had toilet paper which is a plus. The soap was in short demand. They also stank, but in the end I was just happy to have a bathroom. There is a small parking lot and lots of street parking. We had no issue finding a space. Overall it was a very nice park for this event.

Nice Park but no Shade, WestPark Area…read more The WestPark community in Roseville is growing rapidly... Nela Luken is one off the parks in the area. It is located on Pleasant Grove Blvd between Village Plaza Drive and Village Center Drive. The park is located in a nice central spot that is adjacent to a few businesses including MoJoe's coffee shop, Kitchen 747 for casual American dining and a gym (F45 Training). If you see any of these businesses you are very close to Nela Luken Park off of Pleasant Grove Blvd. The park is well maintained with a lot of grassy area. There is a section with metal picnic tables, can't move the tables around as they are secured to a cement pad. With our triple-digit summers this should've been a covered area. There is not one shady tree near that seating area. All the trees are young and not big enough to draw shade. The park was named in honor of Nela Luken, a former Senior Planner at the City of Roseville. There is a playground but whoa! the top of the slide is pretty high up there. It would be a bit scary for a young child to be on top that tall structure. There are also bathrooms in the premises. Anyway... I come here for the food trucks on Wednesdays. They usually come in fours and they would park alongside the parking area. Usually there are three meal trucks and one dessert truck on rotation. Review #2586

The vibe is incredibly family-friendly--blankets, lawn chairs, chalk art, all of it. There's usually a solid mix of food trucks during the spring and summer months, and even when it's busy, it never feels overcrowded. We come here regularly, and that's a big part of why. No chaos, no drama--just good food, space to breathe, and enough room for kids to burn off 94% of their sugar high before bedtime. Strong strategy, honestly. On top of that, they also host movie nights in the park, which are basically the perfect way to end a warm evening. It's small-town magic in the best way possible: families on blankets, lawn chairs everywhere, popcorn, blankets, glow sticks--it's the kind of evening that quietly restores your faith in humanity. This park had multiple play grounds with a large covered structure that had plenty of tables, a couple bbqs and trash cans making it perfect for kids birthday parties! (As long as you reserve the shade as it can get very hot in summer days without shade) Large flat grass areas as well as a baseball diamond, basketball hoop, volleyball net, water fountains and restrooms. Parking was easy right in front even with a birthday party happening. Great neighborhood park for many purposes.
